About this property

This is a wonderful, spacious family vacation getaway house, right on beautiful, spring-fed Hemlock Lake! Custom built in 2005 with 3,000 plus sq. footage, it has granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, sturdy dining table that seats 12, large kitchen island with seating, wrap-around outdoor deck with table & chairs, massive stone fireplace, and full finished basement with pool table, kitchenette, full bathroom, and queen bed sleeping area.

There is a lovely view of the lake from master bedroom suite and from most of the house, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. Guests may use the board games, kayaks, row boat, and canoe that come with the house. Enjoy an outdoor fire in our newly renovated fire pit area.

This would also be a nice spot for a business, church, or large family retreat. It is a quiet and relaxing home, with many opportunities for water sports and other local activities.

Guests must provide their own linens: bath, beach, and kitchen.

Beautiful view on a beautiful lake

This house has everything we need . It is perfect for our large family. The kitchen was very well stocked the appliances were updated. The house is located on a very beautiful lake.

Nice lake house

My group really enjoyed the opportunity to stay for a week at this house. It was great that there were 4 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms along with kayaks to use on the lake. Second time we rented and were not disappointed. Sitting on the deck, playing pool, or just floating in the lake was enjoyed by all.

Family Fun

For our family of twelve there were plenty of beds and baths. Lake was clean, kayaks were grand, kitchen well stocked, and a very nice house. Definitely a “go to” house!

Family Vacay!

We had a great time at Hemlock Lake. The house was clean and perfect for our large group. Had some rain and the lake was treated during our stay so we missed 2 lake days, but we made up for it at the large table doing crafts and playing games. The men fit in a game of golf. The boys fished non-stop. We would definitely pick this property again!

Utility ladder for lake entrance

House was awesome! Everything was great! Only down fall was no deck ladder to get into water….a utility ladder was in the water at the end of the dock….not safe for elderly people-asked the neighbors to use their ladder.

Stunning View!

This house is much larger than the pictures would lead you to believe! The wall of windows in the great room offer the most gorgeous views of the lake. The wraparound deck is shaded most of the day (in mid-June), so we were still able to be outside during our stay's unusual heat wave.

Beautiful Adventure

Beautiful Lake House

The place was beautiful and lake was very nice. Had a blast with the lake toys. Our family enjoyed golfing nearby, swimming, fishing and even putt putt , go-carting and laser tag in Coldwater. Thanks for a wonderful 4 days.

Beautiful Lake Get Away

A beautiful property with a stunning view of Hemlock Lake. There were 7 of us and we were very comfortable in this spacious house. It is located in a quiet neighborhood so very little traffic noise. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

Wonderful stay!

My parents, siblings and our families loved our stay at this house! The ages ranged from infant, toddlers, kids, teens, middle aged and up! There was plenty of room for us all and something for everyone. We've stayed at several different homes over the years and we all agreed this was it! We can't wait to come back and make more memories. The house was clean and communication with owner was excellent!

Wonderful views!

We had a wonderful time at this lake house. The views of the lake are amazing. The house is a great size with a good layout for families. The kids had such a good time watching the boats and skiers, and swimming off the dock. Will absolutely return. Owners are kind and considerate, very easy to work with.

Best Place On the Lake!

This is our 2nd vacation at this home. We had a large group of 15 adults and still had plenty of space. The lake views from the living room are gorgeous! We stayed entertained the entire week utilizing our boat, the house kayaks, and canoe. Fishing was good as well! The only issue we had was with 15 adults is we ran out of room for trash and could not find anywhere that was open to take the extra trash. If you plan on staying and not leaving for a week with a large group please consider this. There is a place only open on Sunday’s on Blair Road not far from lake house that takes trash and they charge $2 per bag.

Family Vacation at the Lake

The house was beautiful and had enough room for all of us to fit comfortably. The view from the porch is amazing! The yard was a little smaller than expected. But we were still able to have a small blow up pool for the youngest kids and play corn hole. The lake was a little mucky closer to the shore for swimming. But if you go in the lake at the end of the dock it isn’t too bad. The family enjoyed fishing from the dock as well as using the canoe and boat to fish. The neighbors are very friendly. Overall everyone enjoyed their time at the lake house!

Best extended family Christmas ever!

My husband and I decided to plan a family Christmas to include my mother, our adult children and our daughters fiance. The biggest factor was finding a place large enough (had to have 5 bedrooms and as many bathrooms s possible for everyone's comfort and privacy) We chose this home on Hemlock lake because it fit all those requirements and was centrally located to make it convenient for everyone to drive to. We could not have been happier. The home us beautiful, well furnished, with plenty of space and privacy, plus the kitchen is truly a dream kitchen- perfect for preparing and serving Christmas dinner. The pool table was a huge hit with everyone in the family and the living room was a great place to play games, relax and enjoy beautiful lake views. There are steps to climb down to get to thr house, so it isn't handicapped accessible and if you have anyone who finds stairs a challenge, be aware of that. But wow. The only thing that would have made it better was if we were there thr right time of year to enjoy the decks, kayak and the fire pit by the lake!

All we needed and more!

Our extended family stayed at the Hemlock Lake House to celebrate our son's graduation from Hillsdale College. The house is so much bigger than it looks on the outside. We all had our own beds and with 4 full baths everyone had plenty of room to get ready for the commencement ceremony. Afterwards, we all celebrated with a cookout . There was plenty of seating both inside and outside and everyone was so appreciative to have a nice place to relax and celebrate after traveling so far. Much better than a hotel room! The house was nice and clean and the kitchen was stocked well with plenty of dishes, cookware, and even some large bowls for all our food. It turned out to be a pretty weekend so we were able to enjoy the kayaks (they have 6!) - such a pretty lake. You do have to bring your own linens & towels but it wasn't a big deal. Each family brought their own so it wasn't too much for anyone. I brought a plastic tub so we could bring them back home easily for washing. Also, you need to clean to get your deposit back, but the owners have instructions and supplies so that wasn't a big deal either. Our family all helped and we had it done in no time. The rate for this huge house is much better than reserving 4 hotel rooms which is what we would have needed, and the bonus is we had so much more room and didn't have to eat at expensive restaurants. It was such a blessing to spend our time here celebrating with family.
