About this property
5 bedroom private resort with salt water pool, jacuzzi, putting green and more!
Perched between the setting sun on the Pacific Ocean (Agua) and the rising moon (Luna) over the Sierra La Laguna Mountains , Casa Agua Luna is a contemporary luxury oasis like no other. Enter the securely walled compound through automatic gates into a special paradise filled with various palms, colorful Bougainvillea, cacti and banana plants. Follow the sound of trickling water towards the zen pond and yoga palapa, then up the stone stairs to the main pool and outdoor living areas. Our caretaker and chef extraordinaire Rene’ will greet you with one of his signature cocktails, homemade guacamole, salsa and chips. Your magical holiday has begun!
If you are looking for the ultimate in “movie star” privacy, luxury and security, there simply is no other property like Casa Agua Luna. Unlike homes positioned directly on the beach where the prevailing onshore winds often prevent you from even sitting by the pool, Casa Agua Luna is set back from the ocean just enough (about 400 yards) to receive cooling breezes off the Pacific without being blasted by salt air and stiff winds (especially in winter/spring months!). Ocean views are prominent from most areas with the 360 degree view roof top deck being the main choice for sundowner and moonriser drinks daily. A short 3 minute stroll takes you to nearly deserted San Pedrito beach where you will likely see more whales than people!
Rene’ is our bilingual caretaker Chef whose lives on site but out of sight. You can choose to utilize Rene’s skills as much or little as you like. He is trained in traditional Mexican, Japanese and Italian cooking and has a host of specialties that you will be thinking about for months after your holiday! He can arrange food shopping (additional fees) or just point you in the right direction. He is a wealth of local knowledge and will happily set you up with local activities and events, or you can just tell him to leave you alone and he’ll disappear!
Designed by the South African/Canadian owner, Agua Luna is a contemporary Mexican Villa masterpiece with just a touch of her homeland. The minute you enter the secure walls of the villa, your stress melts away as you immediately appreciate the zen aesthetic and understated luxury. Every detail has been thought of and all amenities provided to create the ultimate luxury holiday. From every kitchen gadget you can imagine, (espresso machine of course!) to boogie boards, beach chairs, pool towels, books, games (and even hats!), your every imaginable need has already been anticipated. If not, Rene’ is here to help with that too!
Enjoy the heated 42ft saltwater pool with waterfalls, take a soothing dip in the adjacent hot tub, play a round of putt-putt on our 5-hole course, zen out next to the waterfall pond for some yoga or meditation or just some quiet time. Shoot some hoops, curl up in the lounge bar for a game of backgammon or chill with a good book and an incredible margarita!
Agua Luna has a fully equipped indoor kitchen of course, but the nightly magic happens around the outdoor kitchen with fireplace, restaurant size pizza oven, and wood burning Argentinian grill. Sit around the antique dining table while Rene whips up some of his incredible creations or opt to be your own chef for the night. So many choices!

EAT AND DRINK
Agua Luna is a foodies dream home! Full indoor kitchen with massive island with prep sink, gas stove, microwave and all the gadgets and gizmos you’ll need to whip up any level of gourmet meal. The outdoor kitchen features an adjustable wood fire Argentinian grill for incredible steaks and fish, stainless gas BBQ for those quick grills, and an enormous restaurant size wood burning pizza oven all flanked by a long hand poured concrete and rammed earth bar/prep counter ideal for rolling those pizzas before loading into the oven. Antique solid wood dining table to seat up to 10 with toasty wood burning fireplace for those chilly mid-winter evenings. Gas heaters are also on site.
You can choose to shop and cook all on your own or engage Rene’ to do it all for you, or a bit of both. Whatever bakes your cake! (Rene’ can do that too!)
Pescadero, Todos Santos and the surrounding area is also famous for an ever increasing amount of incredible farm and ocean to table restaurants. We can provide a list of our personal favorites!
Stuff to Do
Take a 3 minute walk down to the nearly deserted 6 mile long San Pedrito beach. Head north towards San Pedrito point to watch the surfers (or surf yourself!) and order up a cocktail from the new beach bar, or stroll south while watching for leaping Rays or breaching whales during season.
Load up the Casa’s beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie/surf boards and spend the day at nearby (5 min drive) Cerritos beach for surf lessons, fantastic dinning and cocktail spots or throw around the football and frisbee! Linger for a long lunch at nearby Hierbabuena farm to table restaurant. Charter a day of fishing out of nearby Punta Lobos or Cabo San Lucas, tee up a game of golf in Cabo or La Paz, book a beach horse ride, help release the baby turtles in season, rent an ATV or side by side for a mountain adventure, or just kick it in the poolside hammock with a good book and an amazing margarita!
So many choices and all yours to make!

Baja began when, on a short four day trip to San Jose', the couple took a day trip to Todos Santos and stumbled on Rancho Pescadero, the fantastic nearby boutique hotel which had only been open for 3 weeks! Falling in love with the area immediately, they decided to check in and stayed the next three nights in Pescadero exploring the area beaches and attractions with particular interest in the growing "farm to table" dining scene. Fast forward several years, after multiple trips with the kids and family and friends, they decided to look for property in the area as the news of the new toll road was official. As fate would have it, on the way to the airport after a 5 day stay at Rancho, they spotted a For Sale sign on the property, which at the time had only one basic casa and a small casita. However the property was already lush with vegetation and the stone retaining walls were in place. It was the perfect canvas to create their dream family home. Married on a Blue Moon in South Africa years ago, they incorporated the moon and their love of the ocean into the name of this special place. They are excited to share their dream property with you!
