Great stay, met owner who is local fisherman/ fish processing business man who owns nearby fish retailer. Great to get some history and advice. Sunset views and expansive view of harbor were phenomenal. Stars an Milky Way were great. House had old time vibe
We really enjoyed the awesome views. House was very musty at check in, opened windows to air out. Upstairs has small ac unit that doesn't work well and would be hot in summer but was ok for us since temps were cooler. Fireplace and gas grill were not working but property manager addressed promptly. The location of the property made it very enjoyable and relaxing.
My family of four plus grandparents just stayed here for a week. Loved the overall setting of the property on the peninsula, but unfortunately had rain half the week so we're not able to take full advantage of this. House was very clean on arrival, has new appliances, and was very well supplied with everything you need in the kitchen. Our main complaint that made this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the house felt VERY damp/musty during our stay. I recognize you will find this on a lakeside property, but it seems like maybe adding a dehumidifier or something to address the dampness would help. We still enjoyed our time though at this unique find.
Side note, if you have a canoe or kayak, bring it! There's great opportunities for this with the islands and a shipwreck super close by. We were wishing we had rented one (or better yet, that the property would have one on site as part of the rental).
We totally enjoyed every minute at this beautifully placed house. The views , sunrise and sunsets were spectacular!!! The patios were so nice and the beds comfy. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. We did have trouble getting the grill to work and there was gas but otherwise just wonderful. We hope to come again! Great fresh and smoked fish place a short drive or walk from the house
The property was great! We never got bored just staying home and taking advantage of everything you could do from there. Fishing, swimming, we rented kayaks and SUPs for the week. Bonfires waterside at night. Yard games in large lot. Everyone had a great time.
Great for families. The house offers plenty of space.
The rental company was easy to reach. The owner was very nice and was a wealth of information in regards to the area and things to do. It was nice being able to swim and fish right on the property. Great place for kids to explore.
We really enjoyed this property. Lots of shoreline to explore, and plenty of places to sit. The house is nice, with plenty of room for two families. We've never seen so many stars at night. The location is very isolated from other houses, but there are some boats on the property that the owners do come and use. Overall a great experience

One of a kind private property/island in Bailey Harbor, WI
The house was clean and perfect for our family. We had 5 kids from the ages of 14 to 19 stay at the house with my husband and myself. The 2 bathrooms were key. The property was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sun set, moon rise, had an open pit fire and watched the stars in the sky.
The owner, Denis, is a wealth of knowledge and very accommodating. He went will out of his way to make sure we had a great time. We felt very at home here and want to go back another time.
The beach is just up the road and lots of county and state parks, UW outreach programs, farmer's market, farm stores with fresh jams, breads, cheese, etc. within a 30 min drive from the house.
I wished we had our own kayaks to explore the waters around the island. This spot is perfect for that as there are ship wrecks just off the shore.
