About this property

This recently renovated home is a 3 bedroom, 3 Full baths just one block from the beach! It is 1400 square feet, has 2 TV's, linens and towels are provided for an additional fee . There is a new washer/dryer, beach chairs and Boogie boards. Ample parking for 4-6 cars. Outside is a picnic table and BBQ to use. The home sleeps 9 and pets are welcome, (subject to breed and weight approval). We have other properties in Surfside beach and can honestly say it is a wonderful place to vacation!

Perfect spot

We absolutely loved this property. Neighborhood was quiet. It was so close to the ocean. I’m not sure why a review said they weren’t close. We were so close to everything that we didn’t need our golf cart. Two blocks from the pier and toms of food and hang out spots. I loved that it was pet friendly. It smelled clean when we walked in and there was basic staples available like dishwashing liquid, salt, pepper, and seasonings. We needed some wash cloths and had a few questions about check out and the owner was responsive and helpful. Property had chairs for the beach, outdoor furniture on the decks, and a charcoal grill. Beds were comfortable, WiFi was fast, and tvs were large and had streaming services.

Everything at the house was clean and well maintained. Good location. Walking distance to everything. Bruce, the handyman is a the best.

Perfect Vacation House for Family....

This is the perfect house for a family vacation! Clean, very spacious, and completely stocked with everything we needed. Convenient to beach and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Easy living and close to the beach!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Captain Jack’s. Booking was easy. Communication response was extremely quick. Check in was simple. The cottage is just a short few minutes walk to the beach! The neighborhood is nice and only a 5 minute stroll to the Surfside Pier area, which includes restaurants and a shop to visit. The house layout is comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The living room and dining areas are nice as well. The kitchen is well stocked with all you’ll need! There are 2 decks along with an underneath patio area to enjoy while relaxing. Linen rental and bringing your dog along are both available add on options. They have beach chairs for use too! Surfside Beach is a nice place to visit and you can’t go wrong by booking Captain Jack’s for your stay!

House is very clean and very close to the beach. Plenty of parking and large house.

House is clean with large kitchen and bedrooms. Plenty of seating on the deck and nice large lot. Very close to the beach and public access.

Unfortunate events….

Poor review!!!! We paid for all fees including the linen fee and were told that the beds were made for us when we arrive. We had a 11 hour trip and wanted to go to bed once we got there. Upon arrival we were arrived and the floors were dirty and no linens were in the house at all. There were wet towels in a bin at the front door. We opened the curtains to the porch and the rod just fell down, it looked like it was taped before to try to fix it. We had some duck tape and taped it back together. After contacting the owner about all this… she told us Multiple times that the beds were bad and the cleaning company did it. She finally FaceTimed us to get a visual that were not lying about the unmade beds, dirty floors and no linens in the unit. The cleaning company took over an hour to arrive with the linens after she contacted them. They forgot pillow cases and had to leave again to get those. They didn’t know what linens went with beds. We made our beds while they were gone and unloaded the new linens and did not have enough wash clothes for our whole party. They had to go back a third time for those. It was around 11:30 pm when it was all corrected. The owner did not do anything for our troubles with this inconvenience. We weren’t refunded any fees for what we paid for. “We were told it was a new cleaning company and we didn’t go a night without linens” But the contract stated we could be charged 300 dollars if we didn’t us linens. We even asked the owner if we should go buy linens and be comped for the expenses. She said no and to wait for the ladies to arrive. This all took place late at night. We tried not to let this ruin our vacation with our baby and family… we made the most of it and enjoyed all that Surfside had to offer. Just wish the service was a little more reasonable and nice! But good luck to the next guest!
