Comfortable House

House was well maintained and beds were comfortable. A few supply issues that were resolved quickly. Although we had no problems, I can see that it could be difficult to get to if there was a snowstorm. Gas Grill didn't get very hot - but not sure if that is because it was the winter.

Amazing place in the woods

This house is great, we loved the stay but there were a few issues-the road leading up to home is very steep and should be noted in listing. The snow was heavy and we had major issues getting in and out. The house was great but the banister was very weak and should get tightened! The beds are hard but besides those issues it was great. It is a great location and the house inside was perfect for 2 families of 4.

Fall Excursion

Loved this secluded cabin in the woods! We had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Grandson went biking at Killington and Rutland park. Being from Vt, I was able to see cousins! The house was warm and very cozy !! ❤️ Will return!

Family weekend

Our grown children and our grandchild joined my husband and I for a long weekend. We had a family wedding in the area and made a mini vacation out of it. This was an enjoyable trip and the house fit us perfectly. Would say it was the hottest weekend of the summer so we could have used a few air-conditioning units in the house. Other than that. We had a great stay. Thank you kindly

Nice getaway

Less than 5 mins drive to Okemo, 2-3 mins to downtown Ludlow. Nice hidden location, away from other houses. House was adequate but not overwhelming. Kitchen had the basics in terms of cookware and laundry machines worked, etc.. Some parts are pretty dated (like furniture), but overall a decent place to cozy up for a weekend.

Ski Get Away

Perfect place for our annual ski trip. 8 people and plenty of space. The large living room/kitchen/dining room is key for a large group to hang out and have a great time.

Great spot, secluded and private!

Cozy home with plenty of space! A nice property up a hill, that gives you a little space from the neighbors!

Nice, big house set in the woods

We had a very nice stay at the Ludlow hideout. The house was spacious and well equipped, even if the decor was little dated for our taste. Despite being very close to town, the property is well hidden in the woods and we couldn't see any neighbors which made a huge difference and really added to the feeling of getting away. We also really enjoyed walking along and paddling in the stream on the property. As others have mentioned the level of cleanliness wasn't the best, and the BBQ could also use an upgrade. But overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend the hideout for families looking for some peaceful mountain time.

Lovely house in Ludlow

We are big fans of Ludlow, and stayed in this house for the first time. We very much enjoyed it. The house is up a hill and feels private, but is close to town. (Note when you’re driving there that the numbering system on the road the house is on is confusing: keep following the road and drive up the hill!). The house is a classic a-frame, which means it has very tall ceilings and a nice common area. While some of the furnishings are older, I found the house charming. It is fully stocked with linens and dishes. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and a third on the second floor. Highly recommended!

Cute and Comfy Place with Babbling Brook

We rented this house for a friends trip to Vermont and it was great! There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep, and the 3 full bathrooms were super helpful. We loved how this house made us feel like we were one with nature for the weekend. The log cabin look, cute decorations and sounds of the creek behind the house were all great! Check-in and check-out were very easy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies we needed for cooking and eating at the house. The house did have two things that need to be fixed: 1. The back sliding door to the porch would not lock. We tried and tried to fiddle with it and get the latch to hook but it just wouldn't work. 2. The upstairs bed broke when it was bumped. The foot board completely disconnected from the sides, and the sides and mattress fell to the ground. We were able to put it back together, but did not feel comfortable sleeping on that bed and used another one instead. Hopefully those 2 things get fixed soon and then I would give this place 5 stars.

Ludlow hideout

As roomy as it looks. Lots of room and kitchen well-equipped. Picture is very bright, and the house likely never gets that bright inside. Is in the woods, although not far from town - we walked in a coupe of times. Could easily hold 6-10 folks during ski season.

Vermont Ludlow hideout

Very nice property in the woods lots of space and bedrooms but needs to be updated with furniture curtains needs more lights down stairs and hooks to hang things. Beautiful stream nearby and large deck. A fire pit would be nice on property. Windowsills should be cleaned too. Also dehumidifier in place for musty smell. All in all it was a nice stay.

Fun in Ludlow

We keep coming back to Ludlow for its charm, beauty and great golf. This was our first time staying in a VRBO house and it was lovely. Spacious and comfortable, the house was well equipped in the kitchen and baths. We felt very out in the country with a stream running nearby and no other houses around. I would suggest two things to make it better— table lamps in the MBR and LR, and towel bars in the bathrooms. The overhead chandeliers were very bright in all the rooms. The water pressure was low in the kitchen sink but OK everywhere else.
