Cute cottage, but we found mice.

Cute cottage, it seems to have been updated recently. It was clean although I noticed some mouse poop in the corner of one of the bedrooms when we checked in. When we came back to the cottage after dinner, we saw a mouse run across the floor. We were able to get it , but within five minutes, another one ran across the bathroom floor. Needless to say, we were freaked out and didn't want to be sleeping with mice for the wkd. We called the property mgr, she answered right away, apologized for having to deal with this and let us move into the cottage next door. Once the mice situation gets taken care of, this could be a nice place to stay, but it's too bad we had to pack up our little kids and all of our stuff at 8pm and move to a different cottage.

This space worked great for our group of 3 and we enjoyed our time. Items to note: The door lock is tough and we almost found ourselves locked out because we couldn't jiggle it just right. It was a bit tricky to find, so use instructions sent by host. We also learned the check out expectations included a full cleaning like mopping, wiping out refrigerator, and cleaning bathroom/ kitchen, etc. Not a huge issue, just not something I am used to with other rentals and we weren't aware of until reading the cabin binder.

Below expectations

We enjoyed Door County. But the Cedar Cottage was very close to Hwy 57 waking us every morning around 5am with truck traffic etc. Also the key given us for the cottage did not work and we had to leave it open all day when we were out. The manager was aware of this and no attempt was made to correct this during our 5 day stay. Upon arrival there were 2 coffee makers, neither worked. And finally upon arrival we found out they we were to make the beds and at check out cleaning instructions included, cleaning the bathroom, wet mopping the floors & wiping out cabinets. We would naturally take out the garbage and strip the beds and do the dishes but everything else should have been included in our rental fee.

Cabin Nice But Needs Better Cleaning

The cabin is cute. Beds are comfortable. Couch is older and needs changing. Kitchen had everything you could need. Note that you are VERY close to the highway and hear traffic pretty much nonstop except for late at night. Also, you can SEE the lake but you are quite a distance from it. The cabin needs better cleaning between stays.

Cozy cottage

It was a nice relaxing getaway. The cottage was clean and the interior woodwork looked to be recently installed. Everything worked and no problems. Owners were helpful and responsive to anything needed. Loved the quiet and cozy cabin feel to the place. Friendly neighbors. Loved the decent size beach and provided water equipment.

Cozy, Cute and So Perfect

My sisters and I rented the cabin for a weekend getaway. It was clean upon arrival and so cute! We did have some issues finding it as our GPS did not take us to the right road and wouldnt pull up the right address. Follow Trudys directions. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom is nicely updated and the cabin is overall comfy! Wifi was not good.. but that would probably be our only complaint. The campground was a blast. We felt like kids . We made a fire each night, took the row boat out for some water shenanigans, had a crazy tetherball session, played horse shoes, went to the office and took some games and movies and had some ice cream. We also took the short drive to Fish Creek and hiked at Penninsula and shopped. Was a really wonderful weekend! Thank you!

Nice location

We loved the location! It was not far from the parks and yet it was away from all the crowds of people. Cabin was clean and very smooth check in and out process that made for a great stay!

Nice location and property, but some mice issues

The location of the cabin can't be beat - great spot on Kangaroo Lake. The cabin was small but perfect size for the two of us. We did arrive to mouse droppings on the bed, sheets, and kitchen table. The property manager was very responsive and brought replacement sheets to us shortly after I notified her which was much appreciated. I know these things happen when the weather starts to get colder, but definitely were worried all night that we'd hear/see another mouse! We'd recommend the property and would stay there again, but just make sure to do a triple check around and keep your food off the tables.

Nice quiet cottage getaway

This was a very cute cottage. Two bedroom, small but big enough for four adults. We loved the location on Kangaroo lake. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

The property was very clean. It was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures but roomy enough for the two of us. The group of cottages it is part of has some nice ammenities that families seemed to be enjoying. We threw horseshoes and enjoyed sunsets on the lake

Perfect Family Getaway

This cabin was perfect for our family of 3 on a quick visit to Door County. The beach and access to kayaks and paddle boats gave us plenty to do right at the cabin. And located close enough to the other door county attractions that we were able to do it all. The cabin itself was clean and as described with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended for a nice time in door county.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

Cedar Cabin on Kangaroo Lake was everything we hoped for and more! The cabin has a great setup, easily accommodating our group of four adults, and has great outdoor space for hanging and grilling. With an easy walk to the beach to access the lake, the dock and boats made for a fun few days--would definitely stay here again. Big thank you to our hosts!
