Welcome to The Gateway! This 2300 sq ft, perfectly placed retreat, is nestled amongst the tall ponderosa pines with views of San Francisco Peak. This is your gateway to relaxation! Come take advantage of all Flagstaff has to offer! We are just minuted from NAU, historic downtown and Route 66! The Cinders for OHV fun? Joining us for the snow? Flagstaff has various sledding hills and AZ SnowBowl is just a 20 minute drive. Sedona is a short 30 minute drive to the red rocks! Let us be your gateway to one of 10 wonders in the world, The Grand Canyon. 30 minutes to Bearizona and the town of Williams, which is home to the Grand Canyon Railway and the magical Polar Express! Beautiful home.

Really nice place to stay after picking our kids up from the Albuquerque airport on our way to the Grand Canyon. Perfect location. Just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house more. Very clean.

Perfect for a family!

This home is very spacious, clean and well equipped for a family stay. This is the perfect location to split time between Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The host was very responsive and even checked in with me to make sure we made it out ok when the roads were icy and snowy😊

Our favorite stay yet!

My husband and I take an annual spring break ski trip with our three kids, and as they get older we let them bring friends. This year we had 6 teens with us, and this house in Flagstaff was our favorite house yet. We had more than enough room for 8: the large dining table held all of us for dinner; the kids hung out in the loft to watch movies at night and felt like they had their own space. The beds were super comfortable. The two car garage was nice as we had two cars and the location to the slopes and to town was perfect. Communication with host was great and the house was easy to access from both the front door and the garage in back. We would not hesitate to book again.

Clean, clean, clean - pic’s were spot on accurate

We’re from PHX Area and needed a place for 4 adults/2 kids. My wife and I know Flagstaff and this neighborhood is one of the best. We parked one car in the garage and one on the street (with zero concerns). The cleanliness of this house was exceptional. Often there’s such a shortage for house keeping help in the area it shows… but not here. It was so clean we wiped down the counters before we left out of respect ~ ha ha. This will be my go to property when families visit me from the Midwest and we hit the Canyon. My nephews really enjoyed the ping-pong table and shuffleboard. I was shocked the put down their electronic games for this… but it was something different for them.

Great get away!

We stayed with our young adult sons and their wives. It was perfect for playing card games, shuffle board and cooking most of our meals in. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quiet and close to great hiking trails. Owner was quick to communicate and friendly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again.

The property was beautiful, very clean & short drive to downtown. Check in was simple and they even allowed us in early to take an afternoon zoom call from the home instead of a busy coffee shop. I travel to the area frequently for work and will absolutely stay here again.

Clean and bright

Loved this property in Presidio in the Pines! The place was big enough for our two families and our four kids. Loved the bunk-bed room. The loft area was fun for the kids to play in. Andrew was very responsive and flexible and even had our driveway shoveled when the snowpocalypse came in. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils (there is a water kettle and a crockpot).

Incredible!

We can’t recommend this place enough! We stayed for two full weeks over the holiday. Great location with easy access to downtown and the highways to get to other areas in AZ. The house was super clean, comfortable and decorated for the holiday with a great layout for space to hang out as a family. It even had shuffleboard (which we played almost every night) and ping pong. The host was very responsive, kind and went out of his way to help us. Our experience exceeded all our expectations!

Great Stay

Pros: It was a great place to stay for my girlfriend's graduation. Fridge in the kitchen and in the garage. Property is newer and very nice. There are beds for at least 12 people (if you put two in each room with the queen beds), +2 more as they had an air bed in the master closet, +1 pack-n-play in master closet. The shuffleboard was a huge hit. They also had snow sleds in the garage. Cons: Only closet was in the master bedroom, but the other rooms do have dressers. Also, heat rises to the upstairs and it was very hot. I believe this might be because the thermostat is in the master bedroom, so the heat to the upstairs wasn't getting to the thermostat when the door was closed. The heater ended up blowing all night as we had the patio door in the master bedroom open to let cool air in and the bedroom door closed.

We are a family of 5 with 3 beautiful children

Why they chose this property

We chose this property to escape the heat of the valley. We love all that flagstaff, Sedona and the Grand Canyon have to offer . We figured why not have a place near one of the 10 wonders of the world! We are from New England but have made Arizona our home for the past 11 years. We are simply amazed how just in a short 2 hour drive you change 6000 in elevation. Flagstaffs average temperature compared to Phoenix is 27 degrees cooler. It truly has fascinated us the history of rte 66, Sedona, flagstaff and all the the Northern part of the state has to offer.
