We loved this little cabin for our girls weekend! It was very clean and had all the kitchen gadgets needed for cooking. The cabin is a bit far from town, but we never needed/wanted to leave! The hot tub was a highlight!
Super neat cabin, tucked just far enough away. Cool roads to drive down and close to the river with river access. Overall pretty neat place for a weekend trip
Better can opener needed. Though owners did think of almost everything!
Wood on hand was great. As were the outdoor heaters.
We had trouble with combination lock on front gate. It was temperamental.
It was nice but would have enjoy the hot tub but there was no water in it.
We loved the area but plan on bringing food as Berkley Springs is a 30 minute drive.
Recommend the place though, it was very comfortable and loved the quietness.
We really enjoyed our stay, we had our 2 dogs with us for their first ever vacation and they loved it as well! The river was so pretty and clean, and a lot of fun to explore. The house was clean and well stocked with essentials, cozy and comfortable for my husband and I. We would love to come back sometime!
The property was gorgeous. We stayed right after a big snowstorm, and the landscape was covered in pure white snow. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and easy to find. It had a great, and well stocked, kitchen, a wonderful hot tub that was protected from the elements, and a cozy living space. Would absolutely go again!
Loved this adorable, cozy moutain getaway. Once we nestled in, we didn't want to leave. We managed to pry ourselves out to go on a great hike and take in all the beautiful fall colors.
Our stay was very nice. This cabin is cozy and has everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The screened in porch was nice because it was buggy some of the days we were there so we hung out relaxing without getting all bit up. The private river access area was great to go fish and cool off in the water. We have no complaints with our stay, we didn’t want to leave.
I absolutely love this location. Nice open area to walk my dog throughout out the day. Felt safe at night. Enjoyed the walk to the river multiple times. Cabin was perfect. Porch was so convenient for listening to nature. Nice well stocked kitchen. Loved this trip.
I was very disappointed that the hot tub was still on the listing and when we got there. There was no water in it. One of the main reasons I rented the place. Everything else was good. Just disappointed In that
Property was well equipped and comfortable, had everything we needed except something to light the fire with!
So nice to find ice already in the freezer.

A little misleading…
Lovely forest and river. However, the “path to the river” is a 15 minute walk down a road with medium traffic, no pedestrian path. The hot tub has clearly not been functional for over a year atleast as it is empty of water and full of bugs. The dishes were all disgusting and needed washed prior to use. For the price we would expect some small complimentary toiletries, but there are none. We tried to use the oil in the cupboard for cooking and it absolutely ruined our dinner and had to just eat our chips instead. Musty. I wouldn’t likely be writing this review if the price wasn’t a required two night stay for over $500 with minimal amenities. Felt like we were paying for air conditioning and a roof.
This cabin/cottage is very nice. It looked just like the photos, was clean, and was stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend. We thought we might go to Berkeley Springs for a dinner and/or a lunch, but once we got settled in, we didn’t feel like leaving. The hot tub is out back among the trees, which is very relaxing. We didn’t have an outdoor fire, but the fire pit looked nice.
Note: If you go in the winter, make sure you know how to use a wood stove—it really helps make the house warm.
Also note that as the photos show, you access the loft bedroom (with the king bed) using a ladder. There’s a nice sofa bed in the living room if ladders aren’t your thing.
Very nice place for a get away in the woods—we loved it!
The lodge was clean and well taken care of. If you're not into camping but want to get away from "everything" and just decompress, this is definitely the place to go. I loved that the Cacapon River was short distance away. Water was so clean and got to see little fishes!
The wifi signal was actually quite strong BUT there's a chance the internet will go out and there's no way to know when it'll come back.
We also visited the Paw Paw Tunnel which was about 30 min drive. Beautiful place and would definitely recommend you visit. However, do NOT follow the GPS. It will take you to a dirt road where you have to hike down hill to see the tunnel, and then have to hike back UP to get back to your car. It's a steep hike so if you're not in shape (like myself), it can be quite a workout.
On your way to the Paw Paw tunnel, you'll see a sign on your right for the park entrance. It's just before a short bridge and the road to turn into is bit hard to see so slow down a bit.

Stinky, Dirty Despite Three Expensive Cleaning Fees!
This property is about 20 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs and is semi-private. There is a lot to like about this property, but we would not return for a few reasons. There is a hot tub and fire pit behind the house, but in winter when the trees are bare, there are neighbors on either side close enough to see onto the property. Not "private" like the listing describes. Bring shower supplies and soap because the only thing provided is half a dozen mini hotel style soaps. The shower is tiny and not big enough to bathe a small child easily. But unfortunately the biggest thing was the cleanliness. The property charges over double the cleaning fees compared to other properties as three separate "additional fees," but the place smells terribly like dog, the bed doesn't have a flat sheet so you are forced to sleep directly against a quilt, which didn't appear to be cleaned, and lastly the kitchen had crumbs in the corners. But because there's no cell service, it's not even possible to call the rental company from the house. This is a professionally managed unit and unfortunately it seems like they charge high fees and cut corners wherever possible. I'll avoid this unit and the rental company as a whole next time.
