A perfect get away for our family. The cabin was beautiful; spacious, clean, super comfy, and lots of amenities. The host was amazing to work with and could not have been more accommodating! This is the perfect place for a Schroon Lake or Gore Mountain vacation!!
Cabin was amazing in everyway. Clean and comfortable. Great location close to Lake George and area. No issues at all. Was exactly what we were looking for to explore the area and enjoy the fall foliage. Note that the grill is charcoal not gas so we be prepared for that if you want to use grill. My fault, I was assuming it was gas so had to run to local store to get some charcoal. We loved this cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this impeccably clean and cozy cabin! Nicole was great to work with, was available for questions if needed, and was attentive to our needs. The cabin is beautiful and the location is perfect.
Centrally located log cabin. Owner is very nice, place was immaculate. Obviously a lot of love was put into the updating of the cabin, done very well. Plan on staying there again!
The cabin is a beautiful and well maintained home, across the street and a short walk from the lake. Plenty of privacy and frequent visits from a family of deer. The town center is a few minutes drive and has great pubs and shops. A wonderful vacation!
Loved my stay. The house is perfect. Everything works well and it’s cozy, tasteful, and comfortable. Nicole was welcoming and accommodating which I so appreciate. And the property, including the back trails to hike is a great escape from the world. Also it’s just close enough to town and the lake across Rt 9. Magical and hard to leave!
Great location to the lake, town and I87 to go up to the high peaks and Lake Placid and down to Lake George. Great log cabin, clean, new beds, laundry, full kitchen. It was so nice to have all the space and comforts of home in this cabin. Nicole was easy to be in contact with if needed. Would stay here again! It was a great trip!
House was very clean and so comfy! We loved taking a walk behind the property and to the nearby park. Skiing, tubing, and Lake George were all about 30 minutes away! Nicole was very responsive and helpful with anything that we asked!
This cabin was a great home base to explore this region of the eastern Adirondacks. It was very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of hot watet. The gas fireplace made for a warm and cozy atmosphere on the cool fall nights. Nicole, the owner, was very responsive and a great commnicator. We will definitely rent this cabin again when we return to the area.
This is a lovely log cabin with a plenty of room for a family. It features a huge master bedroom with a kingsize bed on the main floor and two rooms upstairs both with two double beds. There's even a basement with a playroom (e.g, table tennis) as well as laundry facilities. There are two full porches great for reading or meals plus a fire pit out back. The kitchen has everything you need. In other words, it is a great place to spend a lot of time, comfortably.
It's also an excellent base from which to enjoy the lake. There are free lake beaches as well as a state park within walking distance and the town of Lake Schroon is about a 5 minute drive.
The property manager is exceptionally responsive. She gave us all the information we needed for a great stay. Wonderful place.
My husband, kids and I had a great stay at this cozy little cabin. Nicole gave great directions to get there, the cabin has everything you need to cook, grill and relax. Beds were super comfy too. And the kids enjoyed ping pong matches nightly. Unfortunately, the rain in the area has flooded the hidden beach across the street at the cabin. The campground had a nice beach though, and the drive into Lake George Village was only about 25 minutes. Overall, a wonderful stay!
A true log cabin. Well stocked for cooking, game playing, family time. Very private and woodsy. Only drawback was that the property was not Lake side. But, a beach was nearby. Unfortunately, it rained all but one day of our stay.
This is a great house and a great piece of land. The house has plenty of beds and good porches and fire pit. Even has hiking right on the property!
I think this is an ideal spot for a fall getaway. There is a gas stove in the livingroom that we really wanted cold weather for!
Nicole was great-very responsive any time I had a question!
This cabin was perfect for me and two friends to use as a home base for several days of motorcycle riding. With just three of us we each had our own bedroom...all with comfy beds. Sticks and Stones restaurant was on the way into town and was less than 5 minutes away. We liked it so much we ate there twice. Nicole could not be more friendly or attentive as a host. The cabin and all rooms were extremely clean and nicely furnished. Would definitely stay at her cabin again!
This cabin was the perfect choice for a weekend getaway! Nestled in a tranquil location, it offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The cabin itself was well-maintained, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the basement, which was stocked with a variety of games.
Nicole was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was memorable. From providing detailed directions to help us find the place to make sure we could access the cabin after some initial issues. She also provided a booklet with recommendations that was helpful during our stay.
Beautiful place, very clean. I understand why you would want to watch over your property, but the outdoor cameras just made us very uncomfortable. I noticed after the fact that it was mentioned in the listing. If you do not have a problem with cameras, I would definitely recommend this cabin!
Our stay at this Schroon Lake cabin was first-class in every way. It was so comfortable to live in, sleep in, play in, and just enjoy. Everything we needed was there. The bed mattress was gloriously comfortable and we slept so hard every night. All the amenities and utilities worked exactly like they were advertised with the exception of the hot tub, which we could never find, but we probably wouldn't have used it anyway.
Our biggest issue is that the driveway isn't paved and the snowmelt made it very muddy. It could use new pavement, but with the local climate it is probably difficult to have a paved driveway stand up well over time.
Also, the kitchen trashcan is supposed to open with a foot pedal but it appears to be broken.
The cabin owner pointed us to a wonderful park within walking distance of the cabin called Scaroon Manor which we walked around for hours.
A perfect Adirondack experience for our 3rd annual family vacation. This very clean, beautiful log cabin is warm and inviting. It's tucked comfortably off the road in a private setting. It's large but cozy with open family space inside and and lots of space outside for playtime of all ages. We really enjoyed the firepit in the back each night. Two nice surprises were the gas fireplace and ping pong table. The location is great. A short jaunt down and across the road, we explored a DEC campground and beaches for day use and a short drive to buzzing Schroon Lake Village, also with a beach, pubs and shops. There are a lot of hiking trails nearby, as well.
The whole family loved it and we hope to go back again next year. Also Nicole is warm and responsive with any questions we had and her special touches were very welcoming. It truly was a great experience! :)
Communication with Nicole was as easy as messaging with a friend! She sent us things we could do and even hide little trolls and gold coins for our boys to hunt for during our stay. The cabin is very cozy and inviting!! Plenty of room for everyone! And, not something we wanted to learn, but our stay was to be 2 nights. For me it turned out to be 1. The EMS response time is excellent! My mil had a health scare and I left my husband with 4 boys. Nicole was very kind and allowed us to leave later so I could get back to pack our things. Only regret, we couldn't stay longer and will have to wait until next year to stay again.
If you want to feel like you are truly at a home away from home with a beautiful Adirondack feel- this is the perfect place to stay. The beach water is clear and warm. Fishing, boating, grocery store, food and all are just minutes away.
Loved the cabin and truly appreciated how personable Nicole was!! For those few days communicating with her, you feel like she's a close friend!
With three generations in tow, the house was perfectly situated to all the amenities of Schroon Lake (as well as Lake George, Paradox, etc) as well as being a cozy haven to come back to at the end of the day. One rainy day, we stayed inside most of the day reading, playing games, ping pong matches in the basement, watching movies, and cooking! The surrounding grounds were beautiful to look out at, but we also enjoyed the hiking from the property, using the firepit, picnic tables, and grill and having coffee on the porch rocking chairs. The house was extremely clean, organized, and well laid out for busy little kids to older adults. The bedrooms were cozy and spacious, dining areas large and inviting, and the living room was beyond comfortable and welcoming.
We loved the warm blankets on the couch for cool nights and the ceiling fans for warmer days. There were lots of extras like soap, shampoo, TP, sheets/towels, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and an informative house guide. And of course, the "log cabin in the woods" posting certainly lived up to the description. Rustic and traditional, yet with all the amenities of a modern home. Nicole, our host, was always available for a question or advice via text. We truly felt we "got away" and couldn't have found a better home for our needs and comfort.
We stayed at this beautiful, quiet log cabin on our ski trip to Gore Mountain. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, had everything we needed and we did cook our meals , beds were comfortable.Kids had fun playing table tennis and finding the little trolls 😄hidden throughout the cabin!Wi-fi works very well. Location was great, cabin is in walking distance to Schroon Lake and about 30 min to ski areas , Lake George ,local attractions and outlets. Nicole was a great host , excellent communication, quick responses, immediately addressed all our concerns and wanted to make sure we enjoy our stay. We absolutely recommend this property and hope to be back soon !
