4 bedroom suite is one of four rentals in the farm house
We are a farm animal rescue in beautiful Tunbridge Vermont. We are a home to sheep, goats, ducks and a jersey cow named Aggie. All the farm animals are friendly and enjoy interacting with people. **This is a shared space** We live on the property in a separate wing of the house. The home is two capes joined by a large dining room. The kitchen is shared. There is an option for a separate/private entrance. Coffee from Vermont Coffee Company served in the morning.

The property is exactly what you would want in a farm community in Vermont. The accommodations are excellent, clean, well maintained, and beautiful. If you want to enjoy peaceful, quiet and a very unique stay no matter what your agenda is I would urge you to book a couple of nights. The hosts are amazing kind people. Our whole family fell in love with them after meeting them.
Steve and Missy were awesome! The property is beautiful and we LOVED the animals. Every detail about this place was amazing. I highly recommend for any occasion or getaway.
Missy and Steve were great hosts, very attentive to our needs. The house is amazing and very comfortable. The kids loved the animals and Missy and Steve's compassion for the animals was commendable.
This quick overnight was EVERYTHING and more than we hoped for. Missy and Steve were so accommodating and freely gave of their time, chatting with us and sharing details about their animal sanctuary! They do incredible work for those animals, and we are so glad that we had the opportunity to get to know them along with Rodney and the other lucky animals on the farm. (For those of you who would rather not engage with hosts, that works for them as well!) The accommodations were excellent. Rooms were clean and the house was beautiful. We appreciated the coffee, muffins, and candy. Overall, this was such a wonderful stay. We hope to return and stay longer. Thank you, Missy and Steve!
An amazing experience of relaxing and supporting a worthy cause! We found space for respite, laughter, made new friends on top of experiencing a beautiful view!
Thank you to this wonderful couple for the work you do and providing an experience for adults and kiddos as a group and individuals!
We went to Killington fo ski for the weekend and couldn’t have been more happy with our stay here! The owners are so friendly and gave us a farm tour when we first arrived, they also let us bottle feed the newly adopted lamb, Blossom and were so great to talk with. They also had a superb breakfast spread with coffee, cinnamon rolls, fruit and oatmeal! The whole group is looking forward to coming back to stay in the summertime!
The farmhouse was just as described. The shared spaces were open and spacious. Very family friendly. We used the dining room for games. Missy and Steve were readily available and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this rental.
Three of us stayed here for 2 nights while visiting family in the area. This is a working animal sanctuary, there are animals everywhere which we found to be both beautiful and exciting. The suite itself is lovely and private, we didn't hear anyone else in the house. Coffee and croissants were served in the morning. Missy and Steve are great hosts and the work they are doing here deserves a lot more attention! Stay here if you can...you'll love it. We did!!
Steve and Missy are wonderful hosts! This is our second time staying at the Farm and we love it! We are a group of horsewomen competing at the Vermont Morgan Heritage Days Horse Show and the Farm was just minutes from the Fairgrounds, which was perfect for our needs. We rented the Duck Coop (lovely 1st floor room with fully tiled private bath) and the 4 bedroom suite upstairs...plenty of room for our group of six. The house is beautifully appointed and the setting is so peaceful. The animals are great and Larry the lamb came to visit us on the porch during our cookout...Steve and Missy are happy to give tours of the Farm. We'll be back!
Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Loved waking up to the sounds of ducks and sheep. Steve and Missy are wonderful hosts-happy to give tours of the property and chat over coffee they’ve made
We are so GRATEFUL with the Gilbert Family for such a WONDERFUL stay at their farm house. The property is OUTSTANDING with a beautiful breathtaking view, comfortable and clean accommodations. We felt just like at HOME! They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our stay special! We went to celebrate my brother’s graduation and it was everything we expected and MORE! They were amazing, always on the lookout to bettering our stay! We’ve been to many other rentals and THIS is BY FAR the BEST we’ve stayed at. Not only is this a beautiful warm welcoming home, BUT it’s an animal sanctuary, we had the amazing opportunity to meet the rescued animals, to pet them and develop a strong connection with them! It was beautiful! The only thing we wish we could change is to STAY LONGER!
Our stay at Missy and Steve's Vermont Farm Animal Sanctuary was like no other VRBO experience we've had. Their house is large and beautiful offering several lodging options. My husband, adult son and I stayed in the 4 bedroom suite. We had full use of the living area and well equipped kitchen. Beyond the lovely accommodations, Missy and Steve were welcoming and generous hosts who shared the amazing work they do at their animal sanctuary, not to mention delicious fresh duck eggs.
The surrounding area is beautiful and we enjoyed a couple of days of cross country skiing in Woodstock.
Would highly recommend!
