Our cabin was perfect, very clean stocked with everything we needed for our weeklong stay. Clean and comfortable bedding, our home away from home. Very friendly staff!

Third timer!
This is the third time I have stayed at at Bear Hugs. My only negative would be that it needs a box fan, especially during the hotter summer days. Otherwise, I love the feel of this little cabin!
Well maintained cottage. The fireplace in the pic of enclosed porch is not a wood burner. It is gas with decorative logs and is NON FUNCTIONAL. I was told it has been non functional as long as property has been renting cabin. House stayed plenty warm without it, but no romantic fire of evening. Very nice location and plenty of parking with shared yard

tiny place
As close to a tiny home as I've ever been. There's not enough room in the single bedroom to put a small suitcase on the floor and still walk around it. So we had to lay those around in the bathroom and living area. Strange layout. Very small porch and no view off porch. Kitchen lacking a lot, including any counterspace. Old cookware, cheap utensils and zero storage. M vacation company was great and even came to turn on a pilot light on gas heater for us. Good place if you don't need to bring anything with you. Oh and the TV is comparably tiny and difficult to view. So we will not book this one again.
Bear hugs was a great little cabin with the perfect combination of being close to skiing and feeling like a true getaway. I was drawn to bearhugs because of the clawfoot tub. I knew that each night after skiing I would enjoy a soak and feel refreshed and good to go the next day. I would highly recommend bringing Epsom salts to soothe your sore muscles if you’re here for skiing.. the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the cottage was clean. Guest services was very quick to send out a technician when we had trouble with one of the heaters the technician was there nearly immediately, he was quick to resolve the issue, which has to stay, while the repair was done, because all of our stuff was in the cabin, however, after the visit with the technician, I would have felt totally comfortable letting him come in while we were not there.
We will definitely be back❤️

Experience of trip
We brought specialty meats so we could barbarque but the unit supplies was so old and beat up it was not useable
Had a great time. Cabin was cute, had everything needed for a get away in the mountains. Parking was a little tricky with a trailer but we made it work.
Great cabin in the woods for a 3-day ski weekend/Mardi Gras. Very close to the main drag and restaurants and saloons. We would have walked if it wasn’t winter. Had a glitch with the front door code when we arrived for a late check-in but the after hours contact reached out within minutes and got us access by the time we got back from dinner. A few pointers - they provide starter coffee but no cream or sugar for that first morning. Bring your own salt and pepper too! Also the sunroom gas log firebox was not working so that room was a bit cooler than the rest of the cabin. My son didn’t mind so he slept in that room. Overall a great stay.
The cabin was just the cutest, we LOVED the location, close enough to walk to lots of shops and restaurants. The check in process could have been more informative, (I am used to the great experience when we rent a condo at the beach) the next morning when we went by the office to complete our check in the young lady behind the desk appeared to be in need of training, we let her know our internet and tv did not work. She said the owner has been trying to get Centurylink to repair connection for at least two weeks, needless to say it’s now been 3 weeks. We asked about the heat in the sun room, that was also not working she could send out repair person to check it (I am not aware that happened) I asked about the wood burning stove, again we were advised that was not working. We truly loved our stay and had such a great time, Thank goodness AT&T wireless had really good service in this area, I spent another $55 for internet hot spot for our use while we were there. Thanks for an adorable cabin in the woods. We had a blast.
