Creek front family friendly rustic log cabin in the heart of NC wine country

Step back in time in our rustic log cabin. This unique cabin was hand built from reclaimed tobacco barn-wood. Beautifully nestled on 3.6 acre with over 500ft of bold creek frontage, this is truly a nature lover’s paradise.

The cabin features accommodations for six. The primary bedroom is on the first floor with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. The upstairs lofted area has two queen beds and a full bathroom. Downstairs is an open concept living area nestled around a beautiful stone hearth. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need.

Outside you will find two inviting porches both equipped with swings and rocking chairs. Our magical fire-pit is the perfect place to make new memories. We have created blazed trails throughout our acreage to explore everything this property has to offer. The true gem is of course the creek. Sit on our creekside deck and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the rapids.

Located in the heart of NC wine country our cabin is the perfect place to stay and explore everything Yadkin Valley has to offer. Shelton Vineyard is a mile from our cabin and offers wine tours, events and has an upscale restaurant on the grounds. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains there are four state parks within an hour of Lucky Lodge. Pilot Mountain and Stone Mountain are the closest both within 20 minutes. World famous fly fishing is also only minutes from the cabin door. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 25 minutes away where you can discover one of America’s most iconic byways. Historic Mt. Airy is only 20 minutes away where you can experience Mayberry and the nostalgia of yesteryear.

This is a rustic log cabin in the woods. Please be prepared to perhaps encounter wildlife, bugs, an occasional mouse and sometimes the smells of the surrounding farms. We can’t wait to welcome to Lucky Lodge.

Please note we do not do same day departures/arrivals. We require 24 hours between bookings so please take note of existing rentals when selecting your dates. We look forward to hosting you.

Heavenly Paradise!!!

It was a Wonderful place to stay, with Beauty all around us!!!! We Loved the comfort of the cabin and the peace of being in nature!!!! Made several trips to Mt. Airy which was the main reason for our trip. We wanted to check out MAYBERRY, and remember Andy Griffith and visit the museum!!! The cabin was Great and the beds slept well!!! Also enjoyed watching old shows like Andy Griffith and also Sanford and Son!!! It was so peaceful here and we Loved sharing all theses experiences as a family!!! May GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Enjoying fine wine with family

House was very unique rustic cabin off the beaten path. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch with our morning coffee. We would to come back in the fall.

Part of History

Fun in Foothills

We spent a few days with dear friends we met in Chapel Hill in 1979. We enjoyed the easy and comfortable atmosphere of the cabin. We also appreciated the cleanliness and thoughtfulness in preparation for our stay. We found everything we needed. Everything was in working order. The decor was interesting and perfect for a get-away! We look forward to staying here again.

A great place to disconnect

We had a great time in this charming cabin. Everything was so cute and authentic that we felt in love with it. The area is super quiet, making great for reading a book or just relaxing. It has comfortable beds. Bathrooms are clean. Living room is very cozy specially when the chimney is on. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils. The only thing for us is that unfortunately the nearby towns were not as inviting as we had expected. Like Blowing Rock for example. This is a great cabin to stay. Highly recommended. We will stay again for sure.

This is one of the best rough-hewn cabin refirbs. we've seen. The furnishings were chosen carefully and fit perfectly. There's lots of utility with the layout of the rooms/porches. Well done!

Christmas Cabin - Another great stay

This was our second stay in this awesome Cabin. We decided to spend Christmas here. The cabin was decorated and it was another awesome experience. Ryan is an awesome host and we highly recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking to enjoy quiet scenic mornings, fireplaces, and connecting with nature!

Great Rustic Cabin

This sweet cabin in the woods was just what we hoped for! Sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine after an afternoon of hiking was the end to a perfect day. We loved reading about the history of the house and the love and care that was taken to bring the house to the 20th century with indoor plumbing, electricity, wifi, and kitchen appliances. The televisions were a nice addition, but we spent our weekend instead enjoying nature and catching up with one another. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the beds are so comfortable! If you are looking for a place to stay off the beaten path, this is it!

When we pulled up to the cabin my wife was thinking oh lord were in a scary movie lol with the wooded area and the corn fields . We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. Great place , wifi a little spotty but your in the woods to get away . Would definitely stay again

Great Getaway

We loved the cabin. Remote, beautiful location with everything you need. It's rustic and just like the description. We took day trips to hike, visit Mt Airy, car show in Elkin, dip in the water at Carter Falls and fishing.

Off-the-Grid Girl Time

This cabin was the perfect choice for our much-needed girls' trip. We wanted to rest and catch up, so this was perfect. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed walking the trails and creek and listening to the sounds of nature. But that back porch--that was the best part of our stay. Our early morning cups of tea watching the sun rise was the highlight of our trip. The local restaurants were yummy, too. We definitely plan to return!

In the forest

Cozy and just what we needed

The property is a beautiful cabin that really made us feel cozy and relaxed! It was the perfect place to rest, read, and just be. It’s also a great midpoint between Elkin and Mt Airy (15-20 minutes) with lots of wineries and such close by. Thank you! We’ll be back.
