Cottage was very clean and cute! Cottage would be perfect at some beach! Very well equipped and loved the Hersey Kisses! Neighborhood not so much. Police with lights on across the street one night. Lots of nearby train traffic although they only used horn once going through.
Couldn’t get big living room TV to work and there were no instructions. Later in stay found out box was unplugged but didn’t pursue. Didn’t attempt to contact management as I was very busy with other things during stay.
Two people max and I wouldn’t recommend a single woman stay by herself.
This cute little home was the perfect size for us, as we were out and about all day we just needed a little space to relax at night and sleep. It was cozy & warm. The neighbors were quiet.
We had trouble with the TV constantly buffering, even when we cast from our own device, although way less interruptions.
I personally had an issue with the smell of the bathroom—musty. But it won’t stop me from staying here again.
Super cozy house with all the necessities; great stay and very accommodating owners! Lots of train traffic but pretty quiet in the house (& no train horns like at home!) would definitely stay again.
Great location - very well arranged - good for a single person or a couple. Bed is very comfortable, unit is well stocked and location is handy to everything in Olathe. Definitely would stay again.
We were in town for my son’s soccer tournament and chose to stay here. It was so wonderful! I couldn’t believe all that the owners provided and had on hand. The coffee was great, they left snacks even! They were very accommodating on my times due to the game schedule. The place was adorable. Thank you again! 10 out of 10!
Plenty of privacy. Close to all amenities. Everything you need to stay is provided Owners are responsive and friendly. Fenced yard for Pets. Clean and cozy.
This house was a wonderful place for my partner and our dog to stay for a medical trip to the KC area for a week and a half. It is close to highways and shopping for convenience. The kitchen is well-stocked for the size. It does sit close to train tracks, which was not an issue for us, but may be to others. There are also a gap in the yard's gate that our escape artist dog took advantage of.
My partner has celiac disease, which requires a strict gluten-free diet. The kitchen allowed her to prepare meals that she knew were safe within the home. There were also great restaurants nearby (Strips, Vader's, Torchy Tacos) that are also great for anyone who needs gluten-free food.
All the cooking utensils were provided as well as snacks. Charming one bedroom house with fenced in yard. The yard was very muddy when it rained. Easy check in.
I was very impressed with the house. Very clean and simply adorable. The check in process was simple and the host was timely with sending the check in info.
Mel and Ryan were great! The check in process was super easy and their cozy home was clean and well stocked! It was smaller than I imagined but perfect for what we needed! I would definitely recommend this stay to others.
Loved this little gem. Everything you could possibly need. And a fenced back yard for the pups. Will definitely look this one up if we are back in town!
I stayed here for roughly 5 weeks before finding a new home. The property owners were quick to respond to any issues or questions I had about the property. When I first arrived, I had trouble getting access to the building and then once I entered I realized all of the smoke detectors needed new batteries. But they were fantastic getting all that figured out very quickly. There is a fenced-in yard for your dog, which was a wonderful amenity as I had a small dog with me. I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway or a long duration stay. Fantastic place!
My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. Ryan was easy to get ahold of when the keypad on the door wouldn't work and got that resolved quickly. The driveway is a little rough, the bathroom is very tiny and there are train tracks a block away and trains go by about every 15-30mins other than that, it was very comfy. My only suggestion would be to put some darker curtains up in the bedroom because the street light and sun come right into that window in the morning. Thanks for everything!
First, the host was extremely prompt and pleasant with communication. He also assisted us with some schedule changes that became necessary for us. Second, the small home was clean and the room layout met our needs. Though the rooms were compact everything was well organized and easy access. The heating was easy to operate. All the kitchen basics were there including some special treats: human and dog :-) Coffee was available and filtered water in the fridge. Keyless entry was great. The decor was stylish and contemporary. Ample towels, etc. There was even a washer/dryer (we did not use).
Some of our concerns were as mentioned in a previous review: the bathroom is very, very compact but has everything necessary including shampoo, etc. The window coverings are easy to use and attractive however they are easy to see through from the outside at night. The backyard is fenced but not suitable for small dogs-- some areas of the fence are too elevated from the ground (our dog quickly discovered that was an easy way out) and there is an open area under the deck. The neighborhood is an area of some well maintained homes and some that are more challenged. However, sidewalks are maintained and there were 2 parks within easy walking distance that I used regularly with our dog. It was a pleasant stay that met all our needs. Thanks to our host for providing a comfortable and attractive interior space.
Great little house to stay in!! We came to see a concert and it was the perfect location to relax before and after the show. Great for dogs. Easily cleaned with area rugs that can be stored in closet. Great climate controls. Updated and well maintained. Met a few staff and everyone was very nice and polite. Only note is bathroom is pretty small. I am not a tall woman but felt cramped while using the toilet so may not be comfortable for larger or taller people. We would stay here again!
I so enjoyed my stay in Olathe, KS at the Mulberry House. It is so welcoming. Decorated beautifully.
I loved the fenced in yard for my puppy. If I ever pass through Olathe again, I will definitely stay again.
