We really enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable cabin. A great location, very peaceful, but only a 10/15 minute drive to Oneida. Sitting out on the porch is a great place to watch for birds, and enjoy a slow and relaxed way of life.
The cabin is more spacious inside than the outside suggests. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the needed items for making food, games were provided for little ones, the scenery was lovely - overall a very enjoyable stay. I loved that all items such as the fireplace included instructions on how to operate and helpful tips placed around the cabin. Excellent hosts.
Wonderful cabin! Very comfortable and fully stocked with anything you might need. Cabin was very clean. Convenient location to hiking trails and to town. Wonderful dark skies, beautiful view of the Milky Way. Had a couple of deer visit in the yard, a doe and her fawn. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable place to hang out this is a great choice.
My sister, niece and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every detail of the cabin was perfect, from the decor to the fully stocked kitchen. Our favorite time was enjoying the new fire pit. We’ll definitely be back.
This is a gorgeous home with the rustic appeal and charm of a wooden cabin but all the modern comforts as well. Very nice setting, comfortable rooms full of details, a well appointed kitchen, high speed wifi, new appliances. The communication with the owner was very good and all instructions very clear. We would definitely come back!
Only 10 minutes from Oneida. Darling cabin in a quiet neighborhood. We loved it and would go back. Only thing they need is shower gel or soap. Luckily I had a small bar of soap with me. They had coffee, filters, baggies, foil, shaving cream- many vrbo don’t offer those items, so that was an extra bonus!
We love staying here. Unfortunately, the cabin was not very clean this time. The owner offered to have it recleaned, but we declined as we had already cleaned it ourselves so we could unload the car. I believe the situation will not occur in the future. Over all the trip was great, just this one issue at first
Quiet cabin on the edge of Big South Fork Nation River and Recreational Area
The area this cabin is located is surrounded by beautiful forest with trails, outlooks and waterfalls most all easily accessible. The cabin was perfect for the two of us but could easily accommodate more guest without crowding. We had coffee every morning on the front porch. We had day trips that were around 50 miles or less that offered all kinds of entertainment from waterfalls to a State Penitentiary at Brushy which has become a Distillery with special events.
The cabin is furnished with everything you need and the bed was especially comfortable. Fast Internet service for work or watching movies is provided. Kitchen has a gas stove which I enjoy but would be a great bonus if the electricity was out. Unlike North Georgia or Gatlinburg this area has no crowds which we found so unexpected because the area is just as beautiful.
We rarely use a cabin more than once but this time we definitely plan to go back.
This cabin worked well for our family of four with two young children. Interior was in great shape and had well thought out space. All appliances worked. Cabin was well-stocked for our needs. A big towel bar in the bathroom would have been helpful. We ended up using the dryer to dry our towels after showers.
Great location for easy access to the park for activity days, and it has a big porch and a front yard with fire pit for the restful, stay home days (bring your bug spray). It is located at the front of the neighborhood so the lot is not ultra private, but we saw only occasional passing vehicles.
A neighbor warned us of very recent bear activity in the neighborhood so be vigilant about what you choose to leave outside or in your vehicle. We drove our trash into town to help avoid any encounters. We saw two scorpions on property so wear shoes at all times.
