Cute and cozy two bedroom, one bath in a rural residential area of McFarland near an inlet that connects to the Yahara River and Lake Kegonsa (house is not directly on lake or river). Situated next to a charming campground & marina in nature. Walkable fishing areas. Lake Kegonsa State Park Trail is nearby for walking or snowshoeing. Just a 20 minute drive to downtown Madison! NO PARTIES. You will be asked to leave if there is any party activity seen. Dog must be approved prior.
Quaint cottage with two bedrooms, about 800 sq. ft. Main bedroom has a queen bed and a Roku TV (no cable). Small bedroom has two twin beds. Living room has a Roku TV (no cable), as well. The home does not have central air, it has one window AC unit and ceiling fans. A dog is NOT allowed without approval. Smoking is NOT allowed. Only two vehicles are allowed to park in designated spots.
Guests have access to entire house. Guests may fish off a section of piers that are walking distance from home. Do not walk on or fish off piers past where the RV trailers begin. Do not walk on campground or campsites as it is private property and I do not own it. The owners will ask you to leave if you are on their property. Ice fishing is not allowed on the inlet. Guests are not allowed to walk on piers in winter months. Guests are not allowed to walk on ice. Please do not throw rocks on ice or water as it may cause damage to boats and props.
Additional guests not on reservation must be approved first.
Only one dog allowed. A dog is NOT allowed without approval prior to booking. If you are interested in bringing your dog please let us know so we can discuss compatibility and options. Only a housebroken dog is allowed (sorry if your dog requires puppy pads or equivalent they are not allowed). Our insurance policy requires us to prohibit the following breeds: Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier (pitbull), Chow, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Sharpei, Wolf Hybrid Mix, or mixed primarily with a listed breed). Dog must be less than 50lbs. A dog that barks excessively is not allowed as there are others on the property. Dog must be on a leash while on the property at all times. Dog waste must be picked up immediately and thrown away in dumpster. Dog is not allowed on any furniture (bed, sofa, etc.) We ask that you keep your dog crated if leaving them unattended while you're away.

Boats and boat trailers are not allowed. We do not have a launch for kayaks, canoes, etc. There is a state of the art kayak launch just around the corner at Fish Camp County Park! Please let us know if you're planning on bringing any water equipment.
This house is very strict on loud parties. Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. Other people live on the property and there are neighbors so please keep voices low and music at a respectful volume.
All forms of smoking are not tolerated. Fireworks not allowed.
Trailers are not allowed on property without specific permission.
Do not hang anything on windows or walls. This includes decorations, wall hangings, etc.
Do not hang, stand, or climb on the railing outside in front of the house.
You do not have access to enter or exit through back door. There is storage in the back for the property.
Do not leave grill or fire table unattended. Please put cover back on grill and fire table when not using. We happily offer the grill and fire table for your enjoyment at no extra charge. Please note, if more than 50% of the propane tanks are used during your stay, a $35 refill fee will be applied to each tank. Thank you for your understanding!
