Beautiful Lake Property

We came with friends to visit South Dakota Black Hills attractions. Our stay here was part of the highlights that this area offers. The place was amazingly quiet on the lake this time of year. It afforded us to see a lot of wild life as well as star gazing. The place was comfortable and enjoyable.

Girls trip 2024

Awesome place and very friendly people and beautiful scenery. Only down side was we didn't get there until dark,so there were alot of deer along the road and hard to see. Mckenzie was great

Great location!

This place is the only building at the marina, right above the store. It was a beautiful view and suoer convenient. We rented a boat fir a half day abd owners were very accomodating. Would definitely do again.

Beautiful and Unforgettable!!!

Our whole family loved staying at the Marina!!! Waking up every morning with the beautiful lake view was so beautiful!! We loved every minute of our stay!! We rented a pontoon from the Marina. The kids went tubing and it was fun to see just how big the lake was. The property owner was very helpful and pleasant to work with!! The cool lake air was refreshing at night, especially having a fire by the lake to wind down with after busy days. The Marina was also close to all the destination spots we wanted to tour, so that was an added bonus! The only thing we regret about our stay was not staying longer! We stayed for 5 nights, but we would have loved to stay longer! Now we know for next time lol.

Best View and very comfortable stay!

This place has all the items you need just as you would at home, minus the food 😁. The people at the marina were also friendly and helpful. We are already looking forward to staying here next year! The view of the lake is beautiful and is close to so many attractions!

Perfect Base For Black Hills Trip

We were out and about most of the time, so mostly just sleeping, which was excellent. With 3 bedrooms and a large living room sofabed, there was no shortage of space. Wifi was very nice to have. The marina store below is WAY nicer than I ever imagined. The view and access to the lake was amazing. I dont think there is a better location for this price in the hills. I would definitely stay here again! Only 2 minor dings, low water pressure so showering wasn't great, and extra charge for using washer/dryer. Other than that, it was the best vacation of my life! 😀

Perfect stay at the Lake

This was just perfect for our visit to the area! Everything was just as described in the listing; beautifully clean, with a stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. As shown in the photos, the rental has one wall A/C unit; you will need to use the ceiling fans and possibly leave bedroom doors open to keep cool during the night, depending on the weather. We enjoyed "people watching" all the boaters from the deck and wading at the small beach. The lake area is beautiful. The property was convenient to all of the historic area sites.

Perfect Oasis During Off-Season!

We stayed here at the tail end of the tourist season, and it was absolutely perfect! We had perfect weather and felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Waking up overlooking the lake every morning was unbeatable. We were close to everything we wanted to do and also spent a day relaxing at the lake and kayaking. The property was perfect for the three of us with three bedrooms with super comfortable beds! The handicap accessibility was very helpful for the older members of our group as there were no stairs necessary to access the property. Mackenzie was so friendly and easy to work with and responded so quickly to any requests. The marina below was stocked well with snacks and beverages perfect for when we were wanting to stay in for the evening and relax. We enjoyed our week beyond expectations and highly recommend this property!

Hard to Find Anywhere Better to Stay in the Hills

It’s hard to explain the amazing and soul filling experience of waking up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck over looking the beautiful lake while watching the fish jump & the eagles flying overhead, fishing’ for their breakfast.

Best vacation yet

We loved South Dakota and my family Loved the Marina. We were there during some lighting storms and it was amazing sitting on the porch watching the lighting over the lake. We sat out there at night and listened to the coyotes as well. The house fit our needs perfect. It was right in the center of everything we wanted to see in Dakota which was perfect. Would for sure stay again and highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful lakeside stay

Our group had a wonderful stay at this lakeside property and really enjoyed the amenities of the Marina itself. A great place to stay if you enjoy being on the water and having peace and quiet during the overnight hours. The property owner was very kind, responsive, and accommodating.

Wonderful stay at Marina

We booked the home above the marina for our visit to Mount Rushmore and the surrounding area. There were 7 adults (mom, dad, kids and one's spouse) of us staying in the house. There was plenty of room for our four night stay and the kitchen was well enough stocked that we were able to cook breakfast and dinners while there. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and there were towels for everyone. Sounds silly but having a towel for everyone was a plus. We often book places that say they sleep 8 and there are only 4 towels. This wasn't a problem here. When I first booked the stay I was worried that staying at the Marina might be too noisy but it wasn't a problem. It was a beautiful setting and one we enjoyed. The one thing we noticed which would likely be a problem wherever we chose to stay was the distance to the attractions we wanted to see. It was however an easy drive to Rapid City for groceries. The house was close to Mount Rushmore but a ways from everything else. There was no cell phone signal where but the wi-fi was fast and allowed us to do whatever we needed while there. Two of the party needed access to internet for work. I would definitely stay here again if in the area and not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Great place!

This place is the only one in the area, it is the space above the marina. You are literally on the lake, we loved being walking distance to go fishing, play at the beach, or just enjoy the view. The boats were all reserved, so be sure to reserve them prior to visit if you want them. We were able to rent a jet ski and paddle board and had a fabulous time. The address on gps doesn’t lead to the location, so it was very difficult at midnight in the dark and no cell service to find the location. Once we did find it, it fulfilled all our basic needs, it was very clean, but many of the folded blankets were still damp so we had to lay them out to dry the first night. All minor inconveniences.
