The house is well stocked and very comfortable. Pretty much has everything you need. Loved the furnishings, even the books were good. The dock was awesome and we enjoyed that very much. Having kayaks and watercraft already there was so nice. Had access to WIFI the entire time which is sometimes invaluable. We will return!
Really enjoyed our stay. The location is gorgeous, and the house has everything you need. The owner was very responsive when we had a small problem with Internet connection. Would stay again.
Our week at what we lovingly referred to as the “nature and sunrise house” was great - so many birds, butterflies, deer, dolphins, crabs, minnows, foxes, and yes, a few days of late August bay nettles which were expected and easily managed.
The house was well appointed and cared for. The well water was absolutely fine for us for cooking and laundry and we appreciated the spigot down by the beach to rinse off the sand. The grill and the firepit were in great shape and we took advantage. The benches at the end of the dock were a lovely place to catch the sunrise and sunset and to watch for dolphins. The beach has a gentle slope that works for both humans and four legged friends.
We can’t wait to return!
We had a good time but not any toilet paper in the house. The master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. Need more silverware. We would rent again if new mattress in master bedroom. Recreational equipment was well used; could use updating.
Loved everything about it…the location and views were phenomenal! The house was exceptionally clean and very accommodating. We hope to stay there next year as well!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home and property. It was clean and stocked with everything that we could possibly need. We had a great time paddling the waters with the kayaks and paddleboards, and sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the waterfront in the evenings and at night was our favorite thing to do, looking at the stars, and we even saw the International Space Station go over one night. The children especially loved the playset in the yard. We will definitely want to go here again. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation for our family!
The property owner allowed us to have a small wedding at this home and it could not have been better! The view is amazing and the home is very accommodating. The owner was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing from the dock.
As beautiful as the photos are, this home absolutely blew us away in person. Every corner is perfectly and thoughtfully designed with the most beautiful furnishings and decor. Each room has an amazing view. The home was so comfortable and cozy. The location is completely private and serene. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and just sitting and enjoying the river and bay. The porch is stocked with games from ping pong to tennis rackets to corn hole. White stone has some great little restaurants and shops as do many of the nearby towns of Irvington, Kilmarnock and Deltaville. We will absolutely be back. Our dog also had the best vacation of his life swimming and running free!
The home has a spectacular view, a wide waterfront with smooth beach access and all the amenities at your fingertips. We fished, kayaked, paddle boarded, biked, and played ping pong. The dog loved the enormous back yard. The interior was very tastefully appointed with antiques, comfortable seating, and a nautical theme. The wireless signal was very strong so kids could access assignments and adults could work and do zoom calls with no problem at all. The property felt very secluded and private, yet was under 10 minutes to the River Market, ice cream shop, bakery, etc. We cannot wait to return to this classic, gracious, charming Cape Cod home on the river!
Beautiful, traditional waterfront house with great amenities
We completely enjoyed our week in White Stone. The house is a beautiful, waterfront getaway, with large updated kitchen with attached dining room and family room. Great water views, access to paddle boards and kayaks, outdoor equipment, a ping pong table, books, games and smart tvs. Would definitely book again.
The house and location were more than we could ask for. There is plenty of room to spread out in the house and all kinds of activities outside. It was wonderful to have kayaks and paddle board available to guests and the ping pong table filled in the gaps when the kids could not be in the water. The waterfront is sandy and feels protected enough for young kids to kayak around with an adult sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the shore sipping whatever is appropriate for the time of day. The kitchen is very well equipped. Kimberly was very responsive to our questions during the stay. We are happy to report that (at least in May) we did not have even one mosquito visit us while we were there. We hope to be back one day!
The house was perfect for us and we loved the view of the bay. We got up early to see the gorgeous sunrise. The water was still too cold to play in but we will be back!
