Peace and quiet

We had a very nice time staying at this little glamping cabin. The cabin was extremely clean, including the port-a-potty. The set-up was perfect for the two of us and our small dog. We really enjoyed having fires at night and looking up at the beautiful stars. It was a nice bonus to find that the first fire was ready to go and just needed to be lit. The bed was very comfortable and it was easy to sleep in on these cool and foggy mornings! We enjoyed seeing the farm animals, as well as the bunnies, deer, and a fat groundhog who lives near the pond. We had a very comfortable stay.

Backcountry Experience

If you want the experience of Backcountry camping without the tent, this is the place. Cook your meals on the fire and hang out in the beauty of WV. Hosts were accommodating.

Wonderful. Simply wonderful.

I love this little cabin so much. I fell asleep each night with the windows open and nothing but the sounds of nature singing me to sleep. I woke up each morning having had the best sleep of my life. Getting back to the basics doesn't have to mean lying on the cold ground. This little gem is quaint and cozy, it has a heater for the winter and its own private outhouse, and it's a short walk past a beautiful lake to take a warm shower. The area is remote but very close to town with everything you want, plenty of things to do, places to eat and lots and lots and lots and lots of trails. I had so much fun I didn't want to go home. That's why I'm going back again!

I didn't want to leave!

Cheryl & Brooke Thanks for a great vacation at CB Ranch Pondview Cabin. It was a beautiful relaxing place to stay in a quiet setting. I didn't want to leave. Having a bonfire in the firepit was awesome and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch watching the horses. We saw deer drinking from the pond and a large flock of wild turkeys crossing the pasture. The trails on the property made for a fun adventure. Beautiful view of the mountains from up there. Lewisburg is surprisingly close by just a few minutes away. A quaint little town with several restaurants for a variety of tastes. Thanks for the tips especially lost world caverns, very cool, so much to do. Next time I hope to see a bear. Lol Thanks again.

About the host

My husband and I moved from eastern shore of MD to WV to enjoy the wilderness and the mountains. We did a good bit of camping and hiking and found this gem of a location in WV so we decided to pack up and move and make this farm our new home.

Why they chose this property

This property has so much to offer from the beautiful mountain views, rolling land to the abundance of wildlife. We have rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, deer, racoon, coyotes, bear and a large array of birds. just to name a few. We have some of the best hiking trails around in the area.

What makes this property unique

There is a ton of history here also, we have been finding napping and arrow heads along with old Indian hand tools made from stone/rock. We have several natural springs pumping water up out of the ground. This is a awesome piece of property to explore we will never get bored walking this land., you just never know what you will see or find.
