Updated, open concept cottage. Located on dead end street with Crystal Lake access ~100 feet from cottage (on Outlet Bay and sandbar). Great kitchen and easy access (park next to cottage, one step up to enter). Custom beds maximize sleeping space in second bedroom. WiFi, Roku TV.

Professionally cleaned between guests. Fireplace is not available for guests. No pets allowed. No air conditioning (fans available in each room). Paddleboards (2) and kayaks (2 1-person and 1 2-person inflatable) available ~May-September (life jackets not provided).

Wonderful home!

Such a beautiful house. Such an incredible kitchen - we didn't actually get to use it as we were visiting family, but it's amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Near beautiful Crystal Lake! We hope to return!

Frankfort Get Away

Very clean and comfortable house in nice residential area within short walk to Crystal Lake. The kitchen layout and amenities are great, plus we made use of griddle grill in backyard. Host provided guide resources of things to do in area, which was helpful. Enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Crystal Lake home

Such a cute modernized house with great location and water access! We loved the open floor plan and layout and the home was really well stocked with everything we needed for our girls trip, even an ice machine. We enjoyed bonfires in the backyard and watching movies in the comfy living area, and sunsets at the lake. The location was perfect for Frankfort and Elberta, and trips to Sleeping Bear and so many great beaches and wineries. The bunkroom was also fun, us 3 girls shared the room sleepover style and had a lot of laughs. Thanks for sharing your perfect home with us!

Wonderful cottage

We loved our stay at this cottage. Crystal lake is beautiful, Frankfort is a super cute little town, and we loved checking out sleeping bear dunes. Our favorite beach was Elberta beach on Lake Michigan, it’s a hidden gem for sure.

Get away Up North

Beautiful home set just steps away from Crystal Lake. The house was super clean and great communication from the owners! It was great for our family 3 under 5 and plenty of space to enjoy as well as great location to explore the area from! Thanks for a great family getaway spot!

Great lakeside Stay

Everything was great! Easy check in and out, great location, beautiful area. Room set up was nice, kitchen had pretty much everything you might need, and the house has a good layout. If you have more than a few adults parking may be an issue, so just check with the property owner to make sure you’ll have enough space.

Very nice versatile lay out. Well furnished, including kitchen gadgets! The location is perfect, close to Lake Michigan, small towns, Sleeping Bear dunes. Quiet neighhood. Also, comfortabke and felt safe.

Great weekend getaway with the family

Great place and perfect location. My family and I loved the lake and the walking trail. We rented a boat for the day and the fishing was incredible. Caught over 50 fish. We also went to Lake Michigan and walked the town of Frankfort. House rental included kayaks, paddle boards and tons of games. It was equipped to make it feel like home away from home. We had the best time and will definitely book again in the future.

Stayed here with family and friends. The purpose of our trip was a fishing trip out of Frankfort. The accommodations and location met our needs. Would definitely recommend.

What a gem!

My family had such a great time here! The house is equipped with everything you’d need, is absolutely darling, and the owners have gone out of their way to provide extras that make a trip to the UP memorable. Crystal Lake is beautiful. We all (4 teenage boys and their parents) enjoyed exploring on kayaks and paddle boards. Neighbors were kind. Very quiet area. The proximity to the lake, Betsie trail, Beulah, and Frankfurt is fantastic. Great rental! Great trip!

Beautiful home and amazing area

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! We enjoyed our days playing at the lakes and beaches, sightseeing and just enjoying the area. The house was a great place to rest and recharge for the next days fun. We have two kids (age 4 & 5), they lived the bunk room! We definitely want to come back.

Lovely spot for some rest

We used this cottage as a resting spot while we visited our family on a different section of Crystal Lake. As a result, we did not use the beach much but the house provided everything we needed to be comfortable and relax.

The property is nice. Neighbors are nice. Would love a sandy beach, but I was aware that this property did have lake access and that was fun. We loved the lake, it is so clean and pretty.

Awesome location, perfectly updated cottage

A great week of water, sun, biking, beaches, breweries, and relaxation in Northern Michigan. The place was just right for our family. Comfortable beds. A modern kitchen and living area. Easy access to the lake and to the bike paths. And a very responsive hostess with great local recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Perfect little cottage on Crystal Lake!

My husband and our two daughters (1 and 3 yo) had a lovely week at this cottage in June! It was spotlessly clean and modern. Even though it was small, it had all the room we needed. Our 3 yo slept in the bunkbed room (sleeps up to 4), and we set up our 1 yo in her Slumberpod in the sunroom off the kitchen. Livingroom was cozy, and kitchen was well stocked. There was everything you'd ever need to go play in the water, although it was a little too chilly to go swimming. There is a small strip of public access to Crystal Lake at the end of the street which our daughters enjoyed. Only things to note, especially for families: There's only a shower (no bath) which was a bit challenging for the kids. We purchased a little tub mat to prevent them from slipping in the shower. There's also no washer or dryer. Kids being kids, we had to do a few loads by hand in the kitchen sink and hung our laundry outside to dry on the supplied laundry line and clothes pins. Lastly, there is no AC, but plenty of fans in all the rooms. We had a couple scorcher days and struggled to keep it cool. Just plan to close all the blinds and keep the fans going during the day so it's not too hot at night. The cottage is super close to everything you need, either in Frankfort, Beulah or Benzonia. Johnna was very quick in responding to our questions, and the check-in/check out process was super easy. Thank you for sharing your little lake house with us!

Well-appointed house

House worked well for us and our winter getaway! Had 2 bedrooms and kids enjoyed the fun bunk room. Couch area was nice and house was clean. Needs for cooking were all met with utensils, pots, colander, plates and bowls. Proximity to Crystal Mountain was nice for skiing! Only recommendation would be for guests to be allowed to load dishwasher and be able to leave. The need to unload requires tenants to have stay for cycle. Thanks for a great stay

We fell in love with Crystal Lake and the surrounding area while on vacation a few years ago. We've always dreamed about a lake house in retirement and decided to stop dreaming and not wait to make memories with our family. We were fortunate to find a little cottage of our own and are excited to share the area with you.

Why they chose this property

We love that our cottage is on a quiet bay with sandbars. Plus it's a short distance to the bike trail so we can easily bike or drive to the local communities. Our boys love to do all sorts of water and beach activities on Crystal Lake and Lake Michigan so this location is the best of both worlds.
