Great location and convenient to everything, easy/secure parking, very roomy for larger families/group. This property has a lot of eclectic NOLA character. We would absolutely stay here again...

Convenient and provided everything that we needed four 4 day stay in New Orleans.
Nice rental unit and it had everything we needed. The rollaway bed was broken and that would’ve been nice if we had it in working order. Located in a very good location in the garden district.

Saints game weekend
The house was in a great location to walk to the superdome for the ballgame. There's also great restaurants just minutes away. Having separate upstairs and downstairs was great for us to spread out and have plenty of privacy while being there with family. The decor is charming, everything was super clean and so neat. We had a great stay!

Great for a Family
We rented both units at this property and it was wonderful. We put the teenagers/early 20s yr old children in one unit and we stayed in the other. Everything was perfect. We will be returning. The host communicated in a timely manner and answered all questions I had.

MARDI GRAS Madness and FUN for the family!!
We had a great time at the house and will definitely be back to stay. I love the brick walls and fireplaces and the floors downstairs are also brick. The parking is a plus as when I called hotels it was $40-$55 a NIGHT to park and we had four cars. It was so easy.... we were given directions and it was then our house for our stay.

Upon arrival, the cleanup crew was in the house cleaning at 4pm, when our check-in was at 3:30 pm. Area wasn't the best, however we didn't have any issues and had an enjoyable time. The house is split into two separate living spaces so not that great when booking a large group in terms of being together like a traditional house. With all that being said I would stay again if in the area.

Great 2 units propery!
the great experience started when I realized that part of our group could only arrive one day later. i contacted the host and within hours our booking was moved by one day without any additional fees. The location was amazing - walking distance to WWII museum and streetcar only 6 stops from Burbon Street. Both units were clean and had plenty of towels for our group of 6. The upstairs unit bedroom was huge and both units decorated very tastefully! The stairs to the upper unit were a bit steep, but it allowed us privacy from the rest of the group :) We had a great spring break, and definitely recommend!

Nice place to stay
We stayed in the upper apartment. It is huge, and very comfortable for two people. It was clean but lacked some amenities we are used to in VRBO rentals to make it a 5 star, and I sent the owner my suggestions. The location is great. However, it is not a place for light sleepers. It is near a very busy intersection with the Interstate above. The bedroom overlooks St. Charles, so there is a lot of traffic noise. The French Quarter is within walking distance (about 1/2 hour), or you can use the street car. (Be sure to pay the senior rate if you are a senior.) The WW II museum is a few blocks away.. There are several restaurants nearby, and we particularly enjoyed Zea's Grill.

VRBO overbooked
When we arrived in New Orleans, we found that part of our unit was double booked. We had reserved and paid for a unit that included two bedrooms in the ground floor unit and one bedroom in the connecting second floor unit as we were six adults. We found that the two bedroom unit was occupied and that we only had one bedroom for six adults. Also the upstairs unit had not been cleaned properly as there were dirty towels in the clothes washer. The owner did step up and booked three rooms in a hotel just down the street. It was disappointing to be spread out and not all together, but we still managed to enjoy our race weekend.

Great overall trip, some concerns with management.
We had a group of 9 stay here in early June for an event at the convention center. House was in a great location and seemed to have what we needed for the weekend. First issue is the listing states there are 6 beds to sleep 10 people - when we arrived there were only 5 beds. Luckily we had brought additional bedding in the form of an air mattress and a sleeping bag, so highly recommend this for your trip. The listing needs to be updated to show this. House was clean when we arrived, again location was great and the private parking was super nice for peace of mind. My primary concerns with this stay has been in conversations with management. As you can probably see, they respond to many of their reviews so see both sides and take what comes next into consideration. One evening, a small group of us returned to the house and enjoyed some snacks on the counter in the kitchen which already had a downward learn. We had a normal conversation and one of my friends happened to put their arm on the counter and one of the supports fell from the counter. The support was screwed through PAINT STICKS and did not seem solid at all, but we had let the hosts immediately and tried to work with them to provide an explanation. Ultimately, two weeks later, I was called a liar and that we must have “ripped the support from the wall” when it was being held up by a thin piece of wood. In summary, great place, don’t appreciate the misinformation on the post and deflecting poor construction quality.

Tulane University Graduation Weekend
This property was beautifully furnished however street noise was nonstop! Especially in upstairs bedroom as windows provided little buffer even when securely closed. The stairs leading to the upstairs unit were steep and uneven step heights so I would caution the elderly and small children. After securing property with our deposit we did not hear from owner about logistics of accessing until we called the day before we were to arrive!! Upon arriving a day late due to missed airline connections the code to the lock box to access code to obtain the keys did not work! After a phone call to manager we were able to access keys however the lock box that was supposed to contain the password combination was EMPTY!!! Towels were beautiful but the bathroom mat in front of the sink in the upstairs bathroom was disgustingly dirty as was the hallway/stairs carpet!! Cleanliness under upstairs bed and dressers need a good vacuuming as well. The location to trolley and walkability was great!

Good location for jumping on the streetcar line!
We rented the entire place and had an enjoyable weekend and would have probably given five stars if the property was ready and clean for us upon arrival. When we arrived, the property had not been cleaned from the previous renters. The property manager gave us the code to get fresh linens out of a closet and we had to make our own beds. There was glitter all over the couch from what I am assuming was the aftermath of a Mardi Gras parade. The next morning a cleaning crew was sent over to clean the apartment. We were compensated for our troubles the night before so we’re happy to let them clean the place and stay for our second night. The only other suggestion I could make would be to either not have tenants unmake the beds and clean so much before departure. I would have thought that the cleaning fee would have covered most of that. I realize that the cleaning crew needs to be paid, but we did a lot of the work for them. Making sure the dishes were clean and put away, taking the trash to the can out back and ensuring new bags are in the cans inside and removing all of the bed linens from the beds and placing them in the laundry room. On the positive, this location is a great spot to get on the streetcar. The balcony is nice to have as well, especially if you are there during Mardi Gras season. Overall we had a great trip, just a few bumps in the beginning.

It was okay
I really struggled over whether or not I should leave a review. I will say that before I chose this place I did read all the reviews because one of my main concerns was safety. I’ve never been to New Orleans so naturally I would focus on safety as a main concern for the place I chose to stay. What almost none of the reviews mentioned is that there is a tent city outside the door and a friendly homeless family that lives literally on the doorstep. They were pretty harmless and we didn’t mind sharing our leftover foods with them. Every Uber driver I had was surprised to see that this was where I was staying. They all agreed like all the reviews that it was a great location but not the safest area to stay. If you’re coming to New Orleans and plan on being out late I would recommend catching an Uber or lyft back to this location. I caught the trolley a few times back late and walking under the overpass past all the homeless and sketchy people was a little frightening but we made it back safely. On to the house…. The house is what you would expect for the area. The downstairs floors are uneven which is to be expected from all the flooding in the area. The furnishings are a bit dated. One thing I would recommend is being sure to call the owners if you find anything out of place or not cleaned to your standards. I didn’t really mention any of this because it was minor issues like some dirty sheets and whatnot. Lesson learned. Be sure to call for anything you might find out of place. I didn’t count the curtain panels and was charged for 4 of them. I didn’t think to inventory them at the beginning of my stay but here we are. The communication about these extremely high end curtain panels got to be a little nasty on their end with the way they were addressing me. Which is why I struggled to leave this review. I didn’t want it to seem like a disgruntled review. Anyway overall the house was decent the location was great but like any new place you’re visiting be aware of your surroundings. If you don’t plan on being out late and catching the trolley back you should have no issues with safety.

Cute place, fun stay!
It’s set up a little different but was very spacious and plenty of room for 6 adults. Property was clean and I appreciated the private off road parking, although it was a small area we fit a car and Jeep with no problem. The old window/door to the patio is so cute and unique upstairs, although if you sleep up there you will hear the busy freeway early in the morning but wasn’t unbearable or anything a little music wouldn’t drown out. Property is close to a lot and we would definitely rent again.

Beautiful home in New Orleans
We rented the upstairs and downstairs apartment and I was a little confused as to the many codes for the different doors. But we eventually tried all 4 codes on all doors and got in. The apartment/home was decorated beautifully with old and new and felt very New Orleans. I felt like all the space was utilized very well. Beds were comfy. We had a XL SUV that was somewhat difficult to get in and out of the space provided but we were grateful for a parking place. The wifi was not working, Celeste tried to help but we had 2 CS majors staying that couldn't figure it out so something was really wrong. Celeste was very apologetic and has offered to compensate us for that. Very close to WW2 museum. Close to cable car stop. Owner gave some suggestions of places that we loved. Would stay again if we ever go back.

Great spot
Good place for my sister’s bachelorette party…. There are several doors with codes, and we were missing one of them when we checked in. Eventually I was able to get ahold of the host to get the code for the upstairs unit. The space was well appointed and comfortable. After our stay concluded I got a charge for $380 for linens?? No explanation for that, as we stripped our beds and left the sheets/towels/etc by the downstairs washer.

Hi! I am a native of Mississippi and lived in New Orleans from 1984 until 1997 and LOVED it !! My wife and I have 3 boys and we live back in our hometown of Ocean Springs, MS.

Why they chose this property

We wanted a house easily accessible to the BEAUTY of Uptown and the FUN/Excitement of Downtown along with the ambience of a New Orleans home. We also wanted to be able to use the WONDERFUL streetcar and it is right outside our door! Additionally, it was important to have Parking and we were so lucky to find a place with 6 spots! We also were impressed with the selection of fabulous restaurants within walking distance of the house such as Emeril's !

What makes this property unique

It has brick walls and floors, two fireplaces, a BALCONY on the Avenue which is impossible to find a place to rent with one! The beautiful hardwood floors and 12' ceilings bring the true feeling of New Orleans yet it feels like home!
