About this property

Luxury villa with private pool and ocean view near beaches in Martinique

Our beautiful villa lies just a few minutes from the beaches (Cap Chevalier, Cap Macre and Les Salines). It has a private garden, pool, huge terrace and a big living room. It is fully equipped with mostly hardwood furniture and features high speed Internet access (WLAN or via Ethernet), free incoming phones, free local phone calls, satellite TV, a 50" 1080p LCD TV, printer, scanner, Windows 8.1 tablet and an audiophile stereo system. There is plenty opportunity to connect your devices (iPod, iPad, Android, Windows). A tablet is provided for your basic communication needs and even Netflix is up and running.
It is ideal for a couple, a small or larger family or one to four couples.
The lush, big garden is surrounded by trees and bushes. Depending on the season you can pick your own limes, grapefruits, manadrins, bananas, passion fruit, prune de cither, papaya, coco nuts, corossol and others with names you probably have never heard of.
Photovoltaic solar panels with battery backup not only protect against (unfortunately common) power outages, they also provide for an environmentally friendly vacation. The sun also provides for warm water (solar water heating).
A new kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless appliances just has been installed.

Auto: Martinique really requires the use of an automobile; public transportation is bad or non-existent and taxis are expensive. We recommend a rental car. We can arrange for airport transfers and rental cars with a local car rental company.

Getting there: From Europe, there are many daily non-stop flights from Paris Orly and seasonally from Marseilles with Air France, Air Caraibe, or Corseair.
Martinique can be reached from the States via Puerto Rico with American Airlines or via Guadeloupe with Air France.
From South America there are flights via Cayenne, French Guiana on Air Caraibe.
There are some options to fly from Canada non-stop to Guadeloupe and from there with Air France or Air Caraibe to FDF (Martinique). There might be upcoming non-stop flights between Canada (probably Montreal) and FDF.
Other Caribbean islands are also connected with non-stop-flights (St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, Dominica).
Ferry service exists to Dominica, Guadeloupe, and St. Lucia.
Cabin charters on sail-catamarans exist (to St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines).

Windsurfing and Kiting: Martinique and especially the beaches around Cap Chevalier (in walking distance from the house) are perfect for kiting and windsurfing. A kite and windsurf school exists. The wind is usually on-shore and particularly consistent from November through May (trade winds).

4 weeks of bliss
We spent 4 weeks in March 2022 at this villa and absolutely loved it. A perfect space for enjoying time off, sit back and relax. A perfect location to drive to Les Salines, the walk to anse Trabault, or drive to anse Meunier (the other listed places have lots of sargasses nowadays). There are 2 local supermarkets in proximity, one of which at walking distance. Le Marin is also just a short drive away. Not all listed items are any longer there or are only partly functional / may need some looking after: PhotoVoltaic + battery backup were turned off (power outages do happen but are generally short), no local telephone which in our case meant we could only reach the caretaker by email (which he always did, rapidly and diligently) maybe it was simply our mobile carriers, yet would be great to be able to reach out via mobile or whatsapp/…); HIFI / receiver was no longer connected, and partially working i.e. TV speakers only, but we managed to reconnect all sources and all we really needed was to be able to play some peaceful music via airplay which we managed (yay! :-); some of the sun loungers need replacement / some looking after; showers/plumbing needs some looking after as well, but surely every single property around here suffers from the climate and elements in the same way so don’t expect anything else elsewhere. Yet, nothing was missing during our stay: the villa is very well thought out and foreseen of lots of luxuries which other villa’s around do not offer (this was not our first visit to St-Anne and we have in fact stayed in another villa a few houses further in this Lot.): an absolutely gorgeous enclosed garden with great pool and tiled pool deck, spacious and tiled outdoor deck under the roof foreseen with outdoor dining table and beautiful hammocks; then there is the house itself, a well equipped kitchen, large fridge-freezer, doors with glass + outer shutter doors keeping the mosquitoes out at night, A/C in every room, ceiling fans, a good washing machine and dishwasher, and good 4G internet… Caretaker Joel is an absolute legend and took great care of us. All in all we could not have have wished for a better place to stay these 4 weeks. We also absolutely loved the fact that we had total peace and tranquility at the villa, without having gardeners/pool caretakers coming to the villa every few days / week (which from experience seems to be a ‘thing’ around here). Absolutely recommended!!!

Toller Urlaub
Denkt an Mückenspray!!!

End of January in Martinique
Me and 4 friends of mine (aged 28-39) have rented Tom’s villa for one week on late January. The villa is beautifully located in a neighborhood on a small hill some 2km from the seaside. The nearest beach, Cap Chevalier, is windy, not the best for bathing but perfect for kitesurfers; there you will also find a couple of nice restaurants good for grilled fish, open at lunchtime. Other beaches –more suitable to bath in- are a bit more distant. Sainte Anne and Le Marin, the nearest small cities, are at 5 and 7km respectively, therefore a car is needed; indeed, rent a car is by all means necessary if you decide to go to Martinique. The house is really nicely furnished, equipped with almost everything you need: tablet pc with wifi connection, a large flat tv (which of course we haven’t turned on being in such a beautiful place), hifi stereo with possibility to connect your music device to external loudspeakers beside the pool.. In the rooms, air conditioning works properly, and we found linens and bedrooms in general very clean and well kept. So were the bathrooms and toilets. The light comes easily in by the French windows that overlook the porch and the swimming pool. The pool is nice, being large, the water clean and devoid of leaves or other undesired stuff. The house, and the needs of the guests, are managed by Joel, which indicated us the directions to the house and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. He has been friendly and helpful: he also managed to find us a car although we forgot to reserve one before leaving. All things considered, Tom’s place is a very nice option for a vacation in beautiful Martinique: I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect beach vacation
The house is very well located in a quiet area South of Martinique. The location is perfect as it is 5mn away from one of the best beaches in Martinique, Cap Chevalier, where several activities can be practiced all year round (kite surf, windsurf, kayak, swimming, walks...). The house itself is well equiped with good A/C, kitchen equipment, TV, solar panels (in case of a power cut) and a large swimming pool. We spent a wonderful week there with 3 couples and a baby and had plenty of breathing space. The owner was very helpful all along and I highly recommand this rental!

Very nice!
Excellent stay! Prior to arrival the owner comunicated very well with us he gave lots of tips and suggestions. We traveled with a one year old baby and rented a car. The owner also suggested if we like that the caretaker can buy us some basic groceries and things free of charge we would just pay the bill of the items of the recipiet. This was great as we had food and drinks already on night of arrival and didn't have to shop. The caretaker was very helpful suggested things for us to do, showed us directions and was very pleasant and helpful. The property was beautiful very nice private pool, landcaped gardens few minutes from beach. The property was well decorated and also had lots of different books you could read on the hammock. Very nice stay would definatly recommend this place and go back.

Laid-back, relaxed and simple serenity!
We were two couples and three young children, and the house suited us perfectly. Though we spent most of our time out exploring the island or spending the whole day at the wonderful local beach (Cap Chevalier) when we were at the house the kids were almost always in the pool while the adults lounged in hammocks or got some work done on the terrace (thanks to reliable wifi). We cooked a lot and had lots of lovely outdoor dinners. Thomas, the owner, was incredibly helpful and amenable, and Joel, the caretaker, was also very dependable, waiting for us to arrive at 2.30 a.m. and then leave at 5.00 am. The only thing missing was a blender, since there is so much good fruit and good rum! All in all it was a delightful vacation.

Perfect Villa
We booked this villa on short notice. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. His caretaker for the property for the property was also helpful, fun and very nice. The house is lovely. The furnishings are very nice. We were pleased by the quality of the cookware. The appliances are nice. The air conditioning worked. The kids enjoyed the pool. The WiFi worked well. There was plenty of hot water. The private setting, with the swaying palm trees and the poolside hammocks - it was all perfect. The location is about 1 mile from Anse Michelle. We liked this beach as much as any on Martinique. We snorkeled out to the coral reefs from shore. There are also restaurants and a market nearby.

Perfect villa for relaxation and fun
My fiance and I stayed here with two friends last November and had a delightful experience. We chose Marinique as it was an island not generally populated with too many American tourists and we wanted something a little unique. After researching our lodging options, we settled on this propertly and were not disappointed. The owner was easy to deal with throughout the process and gave us some great tips that ensured our trip was a success. Joel, the property manager came to check on us and offer any assistance we might need. He was the perfect host and helped us arrange some activities while we are staying, as well as cooked us a couple of amazing meals. I speak very little French, and he some English, yet we managed just fine communicating. The house itself has great amenities, including back up power during a short blackout that occured on the island during our stay. The fridge, some lights, and the wireless were all available while our neighbors were in the dark. The kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials, the master bedroom and bath were gorgeous, and the patio was great for lounging and spending time with our friends. Even with all of the amazing beaches nearby, having a pool to ourselves turned out to be such a nice amenity. The location was really a short drive to a local villiage, but there are a couple of small markets w/in walking distance for groceries. If we find ourslelves returing to the island, we would stay here again. If the owner or property manager were ever to find themselves in Seattle, we would happily play tour guide in thanks for helping make our trip to Martinique so memorable.

super Ferienhaus

Excellent villa!
The property is not only immaculate and perfectly maintained, but very charming and makes you feel home. The garden and terrace were peaceful and private, especially for a glass of wine and a BBQ at the end of a day at the beach. The pool and the hammocks were fully utilised throughout the stay. , The kitchen had all of the essentials we required and more. The rooms nicely furnished and spacious, the internet stable and fast, just to mention a few merits we valued. The air con worked well and the solar panels on the roof gave me a quiet conscience. It is located within walking distance of the next grocer, the best beaches (les Salinas) are a short drive away, and the restaurants near by have partly french level. The house manager, Joel, was friendly, reliable, and very helpful. Tom was an extremely accomodating owner and made our stay a memorable and stress free affair. He was always available via email, courteous and professional, making the stay a pleasure. We would definitely recommend this place to others as we had a great time here. - thank you Tom!

Great holiday home
We spent ten wonderful days in this spacious and comfortable home. The house is well equipped and taken care of. The garden and swimming pool were very much appreciated by the kids. From our arrival to our departure, we had a wonderful stay and felt very welcome and well cared for. We can only join in on the previous reviews made. We can highly recommend this property, especially for someone seeking a relaxing holiday in a home a way from home environment.

Nice villa with high privacy
We spent two lovely weeks at the house after Christmas 2010. We really enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and the fact that you could go for a walk in the morning and buy your fresh baguette from the nearby grocery store. Our four children appreciated the pool and the 'hamacs'. The house is well equipped and we were grateful for the air-conditioning, although the girls sleeping in the mezzanine had quite warm. But that shouldn't be a problem any more when the third bedroom is opened for the renters use. The owner provided very good customer service all from how to get to the house from the airport, giving greate tips for restaurants and beaches to visit, to having a warmhearted local care-taker who made sure that all was to our satisfaction during our stay. We are sure to recommend this house to all our friends!

A perfectly located nice house
We have spent 10 day in this hous for Christmas. The house was well prepared. There is a great local agent ensuring that all your needs are covered (visits, boat trips arrangement, traditionnal events ...). The house is clean and well furnished with an enjoyable pool, air conditionning in the two main romms, wide screen TV, internet ... The location is ideal as it stands close to to both famous and also more quiet beaches.

My wife is a nurse and works as clinic manager for Miami Children's Hospital. I work as SAP FI/CO consultant.
