This pet-friendly cottage is comfy and rustic, with everything you need, including a sauna, soft-sided hot tub, wood burning fireplace, AC, high speed WiFi, full kitchen and a large smart tv with Netflix provided. Decks outside offer a netted dining tent on one side of the cottage, and a sun shade pergola with Muskoka chairs on the other side. The generous bonfire area comes with wood provided for you.

Charming and peaceful!

Terri and Lisa's place was fantastic! The location was perfect for our needs as we typically enjoy exploring different parts of the Muskoka region and the cottage was an ideal drive to nearby towns like Huntsville and Rosseau for us. We really liked how quiet and peaceful it was on the property and the cottage itself is very charming but also very spacious with everything that one would need for the perfect city getaway. Communication was also fantastic. We definitely look forward to staying here again, thank you for everything Terri and Lisa!

A fantastic cottage and surrounding area!

We had a great time during our latest stay at this property. The cottage itself is incredible, very comfy furniture/bedding and a cozy wood stove fire keeps you warm when needed. While the cottage itself is lovely, the even bigger perk of staying here is the surrounding acreage behind the property. There are walking trails that are a pleasure to experience, and you can almost always see some local wildlife just hanging out. Lisa and Terri are also incredible hosts; they're very responsive and accommodating. They also provide some trail maps/guides for the surrounding Bracebridge/Muskoka regions to help you take full advantage of the gorgeous forestry and lake views. This is our 2nd time staying at Terri and Lisa's cottage, and it continued to be a great experience. They even added a hot tub :) Can't wait for our 3rd stay!

Perfect peace

This cottage is beautifully positioned on 44 quiet acres, but only 15 mins to the centre of Bracebridge. We and our dogs loved walking the trails around the property, whilst others relaxed on the deck with a book, listening to the birds. We would definitely come back.

Incredible quiet

The cabin and property were both beautiful. The cabin was very well stocked. The owners did a great job of giving directions and offering ideas of things to do in the area. Such a relaxing time, listening to the birds in the morning and watching the fireflies at night.

A must-visit in the Fall months!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Terri & Lisa's property. Taking a walk through the paths behind the cottage each morning was so refreshing. The home itself is well taken care of and very cozy, especially when the temperature starts to dip at night and you get to enjoy a wood-burning fireplace. The home and surrounding area are very quiet and peaceful, while still being only 10-12 minutes away from Bracebridge's downtown. We managed to squeeze in 4 different hikes/trails during our stay and it never felt like we had to drive that far to get there (p.s. look up Strawberry Point Trail, the view of Muskoka Lake at the end is definitely worth it!) I would be happy to stay here again and would encourage anyone looking for a cottage getaway to do so as well!

Home away from home

Place was very clean and specious. Felt really comfortable, beds and linens very comfy and clean. Our son and puppy had so much space outside to run and explore, they didn’t want to leave. Close to all amenities. Love it

Far away, so close!

This rental was definitely a favorite, and we hope to return again soon! It was just 10 minutes from Bracebridge (Muskoka's downtown), including excellent dining, shopping and outdoor activities. It was also secluded on its own 44 acres, down a nice long driveway, so that we felt like we were completely alone in the back woods. This meant that any time of the day or night, we could take hikes, enjoy wildlife and star gaze (well that we could only do at night!). The cottage itself was extremely comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, with nice little touches from our hosts. The mid-century log cabin is nicely updated, and includes skylights, full kitchen, and both indoor fireplace and outdoor fire ring. We particularly enjoyed the 3 separate bedrooms, as well as views from many windows and the back deck. They anticipated all of our tech needs, including wifi, tv, streaming, DVD player and more.

Wonderful experience!

Left a very welcoming and inviting experience for us. The cottage was clean and well stocked and nestled in a beautiful location. My wife and I had a great week exploring the trails during the day, and playing board games at night!

Great Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend at this cozy, comfortable cottage. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The pre-laid fire in the wood stove was a really nice touch. The use of Netflix was great on a rainy afternoon. The property is large and we enjoyed hiking the trails - saw some amazing fall colours. We would definitely return to this cottage!

Sept cottage stay

The cottage is lovely and has a great flow to feel very comfortable in. Location was great to be close to many anemeties and lots of outdoor activities. The hosts were prompt on replies and provided much information through email and at the cottage. We as a family of three and our dog had a fantastic experience.

Beyond Beautiful

Myself and my partner had an amazing time at this cottage. The scenery was beyong description and the location was very private and quiet while being only an 8 minute drive to downtown Bracebridge. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. I also appreciate the text communication by Terri the first day to make sure we didn't have any questions. 10/10 would stay again!

Beautiful location! When I booked it would not have been my first choice due to it not being on the water - but am so glad we found it! Absolutely perfect and peaceful. Short drives to local public beaches, other towns and golf courses too.

Accommodation owner and pretty house

This was our very first cottage experience and we had a blast. Since it was our first time, we asked a lot of questions and the owners responded promptly every time. They were also very accommodating to our needs, even sharing their Netflix's ID and password. The property is only 2 km off the highway but it's very discretely located. There are acres of vegetation surrounding this cottage and we saw fireflies and lots of stars when the weather was good. We also built a camp fire one night and roasted marshmallows But the heavy vegetation also means there were more bugs and mosquitos flying around (outdoors) than we expected but maybe that's due to our lack of cottage experience. The house itself was very charmingly decorated which we we really enjoyed. There's an electronic keyboard in the dinning area and it provided a lot of entertainment for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and there's a gas BBQ on the front porch that we used to cook dinner a couple of times. There is no A/C but the weather was in the low 20's during daytime and teens at night and we never felt hot in the house. There is only one bathroom so the morning 'rush hour' needed some coordination but it's not too hard. We had difficulty getting cell/data signals for our cell phones (we are with Telus) and wifi in this house is not the fastest but we were there to spend time with each other and not to be on our phones so the lack of cell signals actually helped us do that. This place is very close to downtown Bracebridge which is a very pretty and charming place to visit. Walmart and other supermarkets are within 10 min drive so we were never worry about not having things we needed. Overall we have a great time and would recommend this place to anyone.

A lovely cabin in the woods

Despite the rainy weather and buggy time of the year (June), we had a lovely time. The cabin was clean and well maintained, had everthing you could possibly need and was nestled in a pretty, cozy atmosphere. Yet within 10 minutes was Bracebridge, beaches and parks. I didn't ask if the cabin is winterized but I could see myself spending time there in the winter if it is, or the fall if not. Lastly, Terri was very helpful with information and requests at a moments notice, which really makes a difference. Thank you.

Great Cottage Getaway

My friend, my dog and I had a great time a Fat Chickadee cottage for a long weekend. The cottage is lovely, great kitchen, and the views are so scenic. As two city-dwellers, we loved how much forest surrounded us, and the fact that you don't even know you have neighbours. It was a perfect peacefuly retreat, plus an easy drive to Arrowhead or Algonquin parks. We would definitely stay again!
