Welcome to the Rose Marie! Nestled just steps away from downtown Caldwell, The Rose Marie is a three bedroom cottage that’s the perfect place to get away from the bustle of big city life and has plenty of room for all of your family and friends. We have tried to maintain the original character and integrity of this historic home. We stripped through multiple layers of paneling and wallpaper to get down to the original shiplap in the open living room and dining area. We have left all of the original doors with their original hardware. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the equipment you should need. We also provide a washer/dryer with laundry detergent and fabric softener. Outside are large established pecan trees, huge covered decks, and ample outdoor seating to enjoy the breeze that blows through. Location is everything here. We are centrally located between Austin, Houston and Dallas. We are just a 25 minute drive to Bryan/College Station and Kyle Field and just a 20 minute drive to Lake Somerville.
***The stove in the living room is NOT connected to anything and is NOT intended to be used. It is for looks only. PLEASE DO NOT USE!***

Thanks for the little historic house in Caldwell! Even through the rainstorm we were safe in our little home. Thanks for great communication and great house!
Easy to get to and comfortable…..it was a very short stay for us but all was in order.

We rented this place to attend an A&M football game, which was about. 25 miles drive. The drive was easy the home was very comfortable, well furnished and so much more reasonably priced than staying in College Station
Very clean, quiet, private. The place was nothing short of charming vintage. Decorated beautifully. Hosts were cordial and accommodating.
Will definitely stay here again!
The house was nice and cozy! Close to everything and communication was excellent. We booked last minute and all our needs were met as needed. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a quite get away.
The house was as described and easy to find and access with clear instructions from the host. Very cute, well appointed and plenty of space for a group. Only suggestion is to upgrade the quality of the bedsheets and especially pillowcases; it was hard to tell if they were clean or not.
Charming, older home. Tastefully decorated, holiday decorations were a nice touch. Perfect location, loved walking around neighborhood and downtown. House was nice and warm during arctic blast. Comfortable beds. Great communication with host. Would stay again.
We visited Caldwell for our son's wedding. The home has all the charm that comes with being 100+. Decor is tasteful, beds are comfy and the yard is ah-mazing, I highly recommend a cool beverage under the lit back patio! Having a fully stocked kitchen was super helpful. The nods to family heritage in the home were special. We will be back as often as we can to visit our kids and cannot wait to stay here agin.
Beautiful property and fixer upper. The style reminds me of something from HGTV or magnolia renovations! Love the vision for the house. We were there for a short trip but the house seemed stock with all the essentials to cook with. AC works great in 115 degree weather as well!! Huge plus. WiFi is Excellent enough to take video calls from. Fresh paint in some areas would set this to a masterpiece and rare find. Host was very responsive as well. We enjoyed our stay

Convenient, not convenient
Convenient, quiet and ‘mature’ home near the center of town. Decorated well, providing all that was necessary for a short or long stay. The bathtub needed some scrubbing where the moisture has collected and produced some dark discoloration.
Initially when we neared our check-in date the host shared valuable information acclimating us to the home. Unfortunately, the smoke alarm battery went out in the middle of our stay and we were left with an annoying system warning, despite my contact with the host.
My son and daughter-in-law were also locked out of the house as the host forgot we had paid for an extra day, and my husband and I were out to lunch.
Very convenient, yet a few missteps that caused our stay inconvenient.
The house was well placed to get where we needed to go. The only negative I have is the check out process. I don’t mind putting out the trash, but requesting that the beds be stripped down, the linens placed I. The laundry room, used dishes washed and put away again was a little much. When traveling, I like to pack, put out the trash and leave. I think you’ll find most others will concur. Changing your process to this will improve customer ratings and satisfaction.
