Luke is an amazing host. This property is by far one of the nicest places we've stayed. The home is pristine clean, the property is breathtaking, our dog loved the private fenced in yard. Very quiet neighborhood with many amenities in the home. We enjoyed playing pool and exploring the quaint shops in the area. Check in and check out was very easy with combination keypad. Thank you, Luke, for sharing your home with me and my family. We look forward to a return trip.Sincerely Neal & Val & Blitz (the dog)
Cozy house with something everyone in the house to do, game room, reading area. Nice tv area. Full kitchen and nice dining area for many to be able to gather around. Plenty of beds too. Just what we needed.
We stayed here for a short vacay that included myself, parents, and our 10 year old goldendoodle. The house is beautiful, charming, and historic which I loved. Just note the stairs to the second floor may be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. The hot tub was a great perk as well. Only wish it was closer to Vermont attractions as everything we went to was over 40 minutes away with the exception of some good local restaurants (but that’s on me for not doing better research beforehand). The owners were responsive and left a very nice welcome gift. Thank you for a relaxing getaway.
When I booked this property I was looking for somewhere memorable with entertainment options. The uniqueness of the house, the game room, and the hot tub were appealing. It did not disappoint.
This is a spacious home with a fully-resourced kitchen with good pans and knives, which I also appreciated. For those who don't appreciate the qualities of an older home, it might not be for them but it was perfect for us.
Proximity to Okemo and Killington was what our group of 9 was looking for. House was very central and we enjoyed our stay. It’s a well-maintained old house. Only thing to note is bunk beds are in a hallway which was not very loved by our kids. But they did love the hot tub and pool table.
We really enjoyed staying here. The place is great: spacious, clean, well-appointed and well-maintained--with a big kitchen. Lots to do in the area, and lots to do at the house (we especially enjoyed shooting pool). The owners are on top of everything; the rental experience was pleasant and hassle-free. We are very happy that we chose this place for our vacation.

About the host
Hosted by Luke Matthews
My wife and I bought this property several years ago after being renters ourselves in Vermont for many years. We have two teenage children who love to ski and two dogs we love to bring along on our trips. We enjoy having a place of our own to enjoy when in Vermont skiing in the winter or relaxing near the lakes during the Vermont summers. We hope you will enjoy the house as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it! It is filled with charm but also has been expertly re-done with all the modern amenities your would come to expect.
What makes this property unique
They don't build houses like this anymore! You will find staying here a one of a kind experience so enjoy all the little touches of the older architecture during your visit!
