EASY WINTER ACCESS!! Enjoy this cozy cabin with two master suites, a screened porch overlooking the tranquil sounds of rushing waters. Relax by the outside fireplace as nature surrounds you or sit by the creek side firepit as you roast marshmallows. Seasonal mountain views combined with rushing waters draws you outside as stress washes away. Inside, smell the coffee percolating at your own coffee bar or just spend the day wrapped in luxury bedding. Feeling adventurous, spend the day on the nearby lake fishing or kayaking or take a hike on the trail that runs right by the cabin. Twelve wineries nearby as well as many restaurants to satisfy your taste buds. Conveniently located halfway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, you will have plenty to do. Sipping your favorite beverage with your friends or family by the fire immersed in the sounds of rushing waters may all you ever need. Easily accessible for any car or truck with paved roads.

Blissful Bear Blissful Honeymoon

As very active, well traveled 60 year olds wanting to "check out" and relax, this was so perfect! Coffee on the screened in porch and by the fireside in the tree house throughout the day was perfect. The soothing sounds of the creek and easy hike from the property to the lake were fun. Walking in the sparsely populated neighborhood yielded beautiful woods and some mountain views. Lots of nearby towns to explore - including the Big Food museum for bragging rights to grand kids. We hope to go back! (Linens, towels, kitchen, etc. were nice.)

Wonderful Place

Owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. From family games to full coffee bar and smores. We took advantage of all the amenities and recommendations. Lovely Cabin

We enjoyed our stay; the cabin was lovely and well stocked. Loved the outside fireplace, could have stayed out there all day. Will definitely book this cabin when I can stay longer.

If we could give 10 stars we would! Peaceful, clean, very well stocked! The covered detached porch with fireplace is a highlight of this wonderful property.we can't recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful little getaway!

We travel to the Blueridge area at least once a year, each time staying in a different cabin. I must say, this has been by far our favorite cabin. The property it self was beautiful, nestled in the trees with the sound of the water rushing in the creek below. The cabin was very cozy with everything you need and then some. The coffee bar was a nice surprise, and the gift bag with smore ingredients was yummy. I can't say enough about the treehouse fireplace area, we drank coffee there in the morning and sipped wine there at night. The cabin is located very close to historic downtown area of Ellijay where we ate delicious food, our favorite restaurant was The Roof. We also visited Roos Winery, which I would also highly recommend. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful cabin and making our little getaway very special.

Snowed in!

It snowed…in Ga…the weekend we stayed. But it was perfect!! The owner himself was in constant contact with us to make sure we felt safe and was genuinely concerned about our safety above everything else. This place was absolutely perfect! The cabin is gorgeous, very well maintained, very clean, and I can’t recommend it enough! We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful and Relaxing

The Blissful Bear cabin was in a great location near Blue Ridge and a host of small towns with great dining, national parks with hiking, creeks and wildlife. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace every single day and the ability to sit outside and watch the creek flow by. The cabin inside was comfortable, well stocked, and had nearly everything we needed. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful during my first VRBO rental. We typically do not repeat trips so that we can explore new areas, but we will 100% stay at The Blissful Bear cabin again.

Exceeded Expectations!!

Where do I start?! Our Host, Ed was top notch and very pleasant to deal with. Very helpful with suggestions and information on the area/very quick to respond. The cabin was immaculate, a special touch in every spot. Perfectly decorated for Christmas, inside and out. Just what we were looking for my Husband and I, Daughter and Son-in-Law with our 2 year old Grandbaby. It was cozy and perfect open floor plan, as we loved cooking and enjoying each other without all being crunched in kitchen. The bedrooms being on each side of cabin with living room in center gave us just the right amount of privacy. The Tree House with fireplace and couches is priceless, as you can cozy up in front of the fireplace in a throw blanket (which the cabin had many) while listening to the flowing creek below. Enjoyed morning coffee on the swing bench overlooking the beautiful back yard. The fire Pit next to the creek was a plus as well. Oh, and the Coffee Bar was a treat! I could go on and on...The only down side is it would be nice to have king beds in both rooms. My Husband and I are firm mattress sleepers and the smaller room had a mattress topper that was way too soft and had a worn spot on one side that made you feel like you were in a hole which made my neck and his back act up. We realized the night before we left, that it wasn't connected to mattress and all we had to do was take it off and it was fine. Would highly recommend this perfect little cabin nestled in nice neighborhood, loved it!

Incredible Getaway

Our stay at The Blissful Bear was one of the Top 5 vacation experiences we have ever had. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and our stay was filled with great memories. Edward and his wife have truly provided a beautiful “Home Away From Home” for someone looking for a peaceful oasis in the North Georgia mountains.

Wonderland

We were so totally impressed with Blissful Bear. Easy to get to but nicely secluded. The amenities provided by the host are the best I’ve seen anywhere, from bathroom supplies and products to kitchen cooking supplies, a super impressive coffee bar with so many choices, a thoughtful bag of s’mores ingredients, and firewood! Bedding is very comfortable. The treehouse with a beautiful fire place is a favorite day or night. The totally screened in deck is great for morning coffee with beautiful treed landscape and the ever present sound of the babbling brook! Then there is the fire pit so nicely constructed on a platform. Never got to the hammock, but there’s another choice for some R and R. The fall decorations throughout are a nice touch, more evidence of the thoughtful host(s) who, by the way, were so readily responsive to any question we had. Can’t say enough about this wonderful getaway, except that we have already scheduled our trip back for next year, and for a longer time! Thank you for exceeding our already high expectations!

The Blissful Bear is….blissful!

My husband and I enjoyed staying in your beautiful home in North Georgia very much! It was relaxing and peaceful. The weather turned cool during our stay, and we enjoyed those nightly fires in the fireplace! Leaves are changing, everyday more color showed. I didn’t know leaf peeping was so much fun! Loved Engelheim Vineyard, and the Cajun Depot Grill was our fave! Thanks for sharing your little bit of Heaven in the mountains with us. We will be back!

Perfect weekend getaway

The Blissful Bear is the perfect place to stay whether youre looking for a weekend getaway or longer. Perfectly situated between Elijay and Blue Ridge there is always something to explore. My wife and I loved the s'mores welcome gift, the fall decor, and quiet sounds of the creek. Hiking was easy to get to because the cabin was located right off the main roads. We also enjoyed a paved, easy access to the cabin. We will definitely be back soon!

Very relaxing

We loved our stay at the Blissful Bear! The kitchen was stocked with anything you could hope for and the coffee bar was next level! The treehouse porch was our kids favorite thing. Communication with Ed was a snap. We lost internet for a couple hours due to storms, but Ed quickly helped walk us through resetting the modem and all was good again.

A Gem for sure!

My wife and i booked this cabin simply because of the look/feel of the property. We spent most of our days searching and visiting many properties in GA and NC. When at the cabin, we spent a lot of time in the Gazebo. What a great assist to the property this is. Wherever i decide to call home i will have something similar for sure! Only warning to future guests is parking. There is room for parking but is difficult with a full size crew cab Silverado. Would stay again for sure.

We loved the cabin and the host was very responsive! Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short due to some in climate weather, resulting in bad wifi and cell reception. The host was VERY understanding and we will be back!

2nd trip was better than the 1st

The Blissful Bear is all you could ever imagine for peace and tranquility. It truly gives you every opportunity to unplug and forget anything exist outside of that property. It’s always spotless, has everything you could need, and gives a little extra. The treehouse is my favorite place on this planet. Have and will continue to recommend to everyone!

Perfection

We loved our four night stay at the Blissful Bear. We travelled with my 5 year old, dog, and in-laws. I’ve never stayed at a more well appointed Vrbo. Every detail was thought of—from the welcome s’mores kit, to fully stocked coffee bar, to the basket of walking sticks on the front porch. Just stop at the grocery store on your way in and you will find everything you need to fully unwind. Spices and dishes are well stocked. We really felt like we were in someone’s home; in a good way! Such thoughtful attention to detail was given in every decision. Comfy furniture and beds. The treehouse is the star of the show. We used it everyday and loved making a fire for my son to make s’mores. There’s also a fire pit closer to the creek we used too. The back porch is fully screened-even under the floorboards so no bugs to worry about! My son and I made a game of counting all the bear statuettes placed around the cabin. I don’t think we found them all! There are great hiking trails a short drive away. Make sure you have a car that can go on rough roads if you want to get to many of the trails. Ellijay has lots to offer too. Lots of cute shops and restaurants. My 5 year old’s only small disappointment was there isn’t direct access to the creek from behind the cabin, though it does run directly behind the cabin. There is a trail to follow a couple hundred yards along the creek before we could access it. We found many other creeks on our hikes to splash in. We can’t wait to come back!

Blissful Stay *****

If you are looking for a serene sanctuary to unwind - the Blissful Bear has it all! The cabin is situated on a beautiful, wooded plot overlooking a running creek. The sounds of water, birds and scenery are magnificent. The communication was flawless - timely and on point, and like many guests already mentioned - no detail was overlooked to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We had an incredible stay, and we appreciated every thought that went into creating this experience and delivering an exceptional hospitality. :)

The Blissful Bear was absolutely blissful!

I can’t say enough about this property. Everything for your comfort was well thought out. I can’t think of anything we needed that wasn’t there. So many special little touches. The treehouse was our favorite place. Beautiful hike along the creek to the lake right from your back door. You can’t go wrong with this cabin!

Worth it

Its always great to stay at a property where the owner goes above and beyond to make it worth your while. We use VRBO a lot for travel baseball and this is one of our favorites! The bed were very comfortable and the owner was very friendly. 10/10 and will go back if we have the opportunity!

Great place to stay!!

This cabin has everything you need!! Just pack your clothes & some food & you will be set. This cabin is perfect for 2 couples. We spent most of our time out at the treehouse. The owner was very nice and very easy to deal with. I can’t wait to plan our next trip.
