Please note, Hurricane Ike forever changed the footprint of Bolivar Peninsula, therefore some homes listed as beachfront may have a lot and/or street in front of it. This is the result of the uncertainty following the storm where some property owners elected to participate in the government buy out of lots that fell in what later would be considered within the vegetation line established by the State of Texas and subsequently included as part of the public beach. Not all property owners participated. Those homes where the property in front of it are part of the buyout are considered beachfront even though to the east or west of it there may be a home closer to the beach.

Definitely a sweet retreat

Reviewer Comments: Very nicely appointed home, great location, half a block from beach, great views, kitchen stocked with all the pots and pans you’d ever want, along with many different spices. The only issue that we had was that the TV was a bit complicated for us, and wished we had directions.

Vacay with the Grandkids

Beautiful view

My family enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the ships going in and out of Galveston while the sea breezes blew. We’re not much about sitting on the beach baking in the sun so this was the most pleasurable activity for us. So relaxing!!The only hiccup of the house was the internet problem. We were not able to watch tv in the evenings because it was a internet streaming service only. Even the Wi-Fi was very slow. Overall the house accommodated our family needs and was very clean. I would recommend this place for the location and view of beach but they really need to fix their internet problem.

Spring Break

We had a wonderful week at Crystal Beach. The house fit our needs perfectly. Plenty of room and a wonderful view. Very easy access to the beach. It was easy to go back and forth from the house to the beach with the kids!
