Gator Lodge is a waterfront property which sets high among towering oak trees overlooking Caddo Lake. We welcomed our first guests in 2010. Three bay boathouse with over the water deck for fishing and relaxation. Deck has table and chairs with ceiling fan. Canoe furnished for guest use. Excellent fishing off of dock.

The hosts were so nice and the place was perfect . We put our boat in the water easily with the boat ramp so close to lodge. Beautiful sunsets from the deck and great fishing . Thank you Lize and Sam
We absolutely loved Gator Lodge! Sam and Elizabeth were so kind to us and the cabin was just as advertised. We enjoyed the privacy, the view and that the cabin was impeccably clean and neat. We'll be back and highly recommend it!
We loved it, beautiful sunsets view from the pier. Took our boat out to cruise the lake. Boat slip was nice to keep from having to load the boat up from each trip. Would stay again.
This is a wonderful cabin for a quiet retreat. From breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lake to afternoons on the dock watching the world go by, you can’t ask for a better property. The hosts are very responsive and made sure we had everything to make our stay memorable. One evening as thunderstorms rolled through, the host stopped by to ensure we were safe. Also, Jefferson, with several nice restaurants and shops, is worth the short drive.
My husband, myself, and our 2 teenagers stayed at this property and really loved it. It was very relaxing, clean, and well-suited to our needs. Furthermore, while off the beaten path, we enjoyed visiting both Jefferson and Shreveport during our stay.
This was our 2nd time staying at this property, and we'll do it again next year. The house has just about everything you'd need, and it's clean & comfortable. It being on the lake made our stay super convenient & extremely enjoyable. I can't wait to go back next year!
Very peaceful...it has a different atmosphere than other rivers or lakes we've been. There are many very old cypress trees here, so beautiful, and really add to the whole vibe of the place. The owner visited with us a little bit. She is a very friendly & interesting lady. This is by far one of the coolest places we've been!!
The Treehouse was perfect for our last minute get away! Boat slip 1/8th mile down the road makes getting kayaks/boats very easy to get into water and to the pier. The property also has a canoe, kayak and life jackets. Fire pit had firewood stacked beside it with several chairs. Great pier for fishing and relaxing. We enjoyed playing the board games and reading books that were in the cabin. Host were very responsive and helpful! Not a problem for us, however some guest may need to be aware there are several steps down to/from the pier. We enjoyed being elevated from the water and a higher view out over the lake!
My wife and I visited Caddo Lake for her birthday, and we had an extraordinary time staying in this property. If you're looking for a relaxing way to experience the wonders of Caddo Lake, I highly recommend staying here.
We chose to hangout, do a little fishing, and took a break from responsibility. This was the perfect setting for that! The cabin had everything we needed for our three day stay. The hosts were nearby, but not obtrusive in any way. We took a short jaunt to historic Jefferson for a little antiquing and lunch. We had a great time.
We had a great time. Nice and quite, relaxing, and great views.
Lize was amazing. She and her husband gave us info on what we could do and they were very nice with us.
We will be staying again.
We enjoyed our stay. There was a great view from the living room. The kitchen had everything needed to be able to make meals. We enjoyed a trek in the canoe and appreciate it being there to use. Lizey and Sam were very good hosts. I would recommend The Tree House to others.
Fun fishing lodge on hillside looking down to lake. Beautiful scenery. Lize and Sam are great. Lots of nature. Fish off the dock or just watch the Chain Pickerel at night. Quite. Peaceful. Great get away.
The Treehouse had everything our family needed, including the beautiful view of the lake through the shady cypress trees. We enjoyed the peace and quiet every morning while rocking our babies and sipping coffee. Our hosts were wonderful, and all the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back again when there’s more time for canoeing!
The Treehouse was a perfect fit for our family of 5. It was cozy, comfortable, and roomy enough for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped, if you are in the mood to cook( I wasn't). We were close enough to make a day trip to an alligator farm and a museum in Louisiana. Another day, we went to historic Jefferson.
The part of our stay that all of us will remember most are the evenings we spent on the fishing pier and around the fire pit. The view from the pier is unspoiled. Make sure you are there at sunset, it is glorious.
