We were visiting friends in Lansing on short notice for a weekend. This newly renovated property was everything we needed. It is charming, airy and well equipped. The owners were very friendly, accommodating and addressed our questions thoroughly. Its open floor plan makes it a great place for hanging out with friends. We would not hesitate to come back!
Such a beautiful, spacious place to stay. This was a small family trip and our 6 year old absolutely loved that we stayed in an old church. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Well appointed kitchen. Great food and drinks within sight of property. Highly recommend for a comfortable, unique place to stay!
We were there for a wedding held in Lansing. The church is awesome! So nicely remodeled - very charming. Clean and convenient. We l loved it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us! Only suggestion - a hand rail at the door would be helpful since the stairs have settled.
I will have multiple things to say the town noise and drag strip in front of this place was horrible no sleep I think they started at 9:30 every night! It went on all night long. As far as trash removal your convenience center isn’t convenient to weekends days they’re only open 9 to 5 weekdays other alternative should be sought by property management. Also there was a fair or some thing going on this weekend wasn’t noted and they use the parking space for us in front of the building as the community so we had to where to park with the circle and circle the block to try to get to our place that we rented.
We continue to enjoy this property. Perfect location to enjoy Lansing and surrounding areas. Great communication with the owner as always. We look forward to the next stay.
We have stayed at this property multiple times and hope to continue in the future. Always delivers. Location can’t be beat, the property is comfortable and clean, and the owner is always responsive.
I hate to give this property such a good rating and risk other people learning about this hidden gem. Very comfortable, great location, and easy communication with the owner.
We loved the historic charm of the converted church right in the middle of "downtown" Lansing, NC. It was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a 9-day getaway. Our hosts were great with communication and we appreciated their accommodation for a later check-out time.
Easy to rent and Jennifer was super responsive. Two real bedrooms, plus study with one more sleeping bed but not much privacy. Great place for 4 people, can work well for 5 if flexible. One bath work well for us. Great room is kitchen, dining and family rooms in one. Large, open and great feel to it. We were very pleased w our stay.
We were in town for a wedding and this property was perfect for our stay - clean, comfortable, well appointed and beautifully renovated. We enjoyed our walk on the trail along the stream; coffee, food, books and community at Old Orchard General Store; pizza from Pie on the Mountain and the BBQ chicken fundraiser/volunteer fire dept.
Beautifully renovated--very comfortable with everything you need! Walking distance to a delicious pizza place, general store/coffee shop, and relaxing park. We will definitely return!
This historic church was absolutely ideal for a girls getaway. The space was ample, the bathroom well designed and laid out, and the furniture lovely and relaxing. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed and was brand new. We opened the outer doors and immediately felt our stress levels drop. The general store/coffee shop just a few yards away is NOT to be missed and the walking trail is great for a little bit of easy recreation. We visited West Jefferson (about 15 minutes away) and it is a lovely walkable small town with plenty of small business shops and restaurants. We happened upon a street fair the day we visited! Even if you didn't want to leave the church, you could cozily hole up for an entire weekend and walk away refreshed. We can't wait to return!
This was a unique fun place to stay. Just a short walk to a nice coffee shop and pizza place. Also, a short walk to a nice trail. We recommend this highly.
This was our second stay at the Methodist church! Again, the property is clean, updated, and spacious. We were able to check in a bit early after put long drive and the rental company was extremely helpful.
The place is packed with all you need-and offers to help if there is something else needed! This is a go-to for us!
My husband and I stayed with our two teen children in this downtown Lansing gem! The owner remodeled the old Methodist church interior in an open, peaceful atmosphere:)
We loved the spacious, convenient setting! Our younger family members visited and we easily hosted a sleepover.
Easy and central location for exploring Western Lansing and Virginia! We will be back!
