If you are seeking a centrally located property with easy access to all of Maui's top attractions, this is the perfect place for you. Located just a short walk from the harbor, where you can explore the Maui Ocean Center, grab a bite to eat, embark on a snorkeling or whale watching adventure, or enjoy an evening concert or karaoke at Da Playground.

Hono Kai A5 is a ground floor, ocean and pool view, one bedroom condo featuring easy access to many of Maui's top attractions. One of the nicest condos at Hono Kai, this one is worth a look! From the beautiful Hawaiian inspired decor and furnishings to the newly remodeled kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, this unit has everything you'll need for the perfect Hawaiian getaway. This home sleeps four, with a King size bed in the bedroom and a Queen sleeper sofa in the living area.
Dine al fresco on your private lanai listening to the waves or there is plenty of seating at the bar. Hono Kai A5 has an air conditioning unit in between the living area and bedroom so you can feel refreshed after a day in the sun. This condo comes equipped with a Smart TV and complimentary WiFi for your entertainment. There are community coin-operated washer/dryers on every floor so you can pack light.

Hono Kai is located at Maalaea Bay, only 15 minutes away from the Kahului Airport. Nearby to Hono Kai are many attractions, shops and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. With it's central location you are a 30 minute drive or less to either the Kiehi and Wailea side or the Lahaina, Ka'anapali and Kapalua side of the island where there is so much to explore! There is an on-site coin operated laundry room and no resort or parking fees.

Perfect stay

This place is the best place I’ve stayed in Maui yet. Amazing location, comfy, clean, and conveniently located. Loved the pools, on-site bar, store, coffee, restaurant and beach! Parking was super easy, every one was super nice. Loved how we even had a washer and dryer in unit. Loved the big windows. Would deffinatelt stay again! Took our 8 month old here, and it was so relaxing for all of us.

So close to an amazing beach

The last time we were in Maui we stayed in this facility on the second floor. This time we were on the ground floor. The upper floors have an amazing view but the ground floor has great access to the pool and beach. From this unit you are 3-4 steps to the pool and 6-8 steps to the beach. The unit has been nicely updated with quality furnishings. The kitchen has all the things we needed to cook including spices and cooking oil. There is a grill close by to prepare your dinner as well. The only issue we had was a minor insect problem but the condo management sent pest control over the same day we called so it was quickly resolved. The bathroom is small but it’s nicely updated. The king bed was comfortable and a window AC unit cools the whole condo without difficulty. The unit has boogie boards, beach chairs, sand mats and a small cooler in the closet. The reason we continue to stay in this location is the access to the beach. You can literally walk out your door and head down a beautiful beach with very few people and no buildings for a couple of miles, all the way to Sugar Beach. We will stay here again.

Unit is beautiful and updated

Beautiful beachfront Condo

If you are looking for a beachfront condo that is ground level and walks right out onto the sand then this is the place. There is a two mile undeveloped white sand beach that you can walk on every day with few people around. The condo is newly remodeled and very clean. This is the most central area of Maui and is a great place to begin any of your adventures around the island. The condo has boogie boards, beach chairs, and a cooler.

It's great!

We are very happy with our stay at Hono Kai A5. I greatly appreciate the tupperware and cookware which made the occasional cooking a breeze. The beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel certainly came in handy as well. We were slightly disappointed about the beach which was way rougher than expected but it's not the end of the world either. Thank you for maintaining this cozy and lovely space!

Fabulous place

We absolutely loved this place. The beach so close right out the sliding glass door. The bed was so comfortable and it made the week we spent there so amazing. The condo was fully stocked with everything you need to cook any meal. The only problem we had was in the bathroom when I used my blow dryer, the breaker would pop off. I was glad I was able to find the breaker box to reset it.

Amazing Location and quiet!

What a great place… literally 50 ft from the ocean and miles of Sandy beach to walk with very few tourists. Nice pool and easy to get around! Very easy to get there and get in to condo which was clean and very well stocked. Laundry right outside our door! You need quarters but perfect! Would stay again!!!

Hono Kai Condo #A5

The place had everything we needed for the kitchen to make our meals, including spices, salt, and oil. We immensely like it was recently renovated with newer furniture and appliances. The sinks, tub, and toilet all drain very well. The water pressure is excellent. The bed was very comfortable. They supply enough towels, pillows, and beach chairs. The pool and patio are cleaned and well-maintained. The minuses: no shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps, loud AC, one fan has a clicking noise, the parking spot is too tight, and the code to the swimming pool is wrong. Good thing the manager recognized we were struggling and gave us the new code. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed for eight days, and first time in Maui.

Amazing Experience

This condo was exactly as pictured. We loved the view from our patio. Condo was well equipped with everything you would need. The bed was super comfortable as well. Just steps to the beach. Laundry is right outside the door which was awesome! We will definitely will be back. Best 10 days we have had in some time.

Great to be back

The last time we had stayed at this property was 27 years ago. The property was every bit as great as we remembered, even better. So close to the shore, well-maintained, an updated unit and a friendly, quiet environment. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that you might possibly need- all good quality supplies. Our unit also had a few extras such as beach towels, boogie, board, beach, chairs, and basic cleaning supplies.

Simple, cute, PERFECT

Very quiet place in Wailuku. Very relaxing and gives you quick access to the beach. Quick 20 mins away from beaches and other activities which is nothing since you have your car. Bed, ambience and the functionality of the kitchen is superb. Myperfectstays did a great job on making sure we are comfortable. Thank you very much and will definitely recommend this to my friends. We will be back for sure!:)

Clean and comfortable

The property is older and the population (very friendly during our stay) is pretty dense. I was surprised to find so many strip malls-more than I saw on other islands. However, this particular condo was very well cared for and exceptionally clean and comfortable. We loved the view and proximity of the bay, and the ocean breezes that refreshed everything.

Beach front perfection

Loved our stay at Hono Kai. Perfectly located in a central part of the island. Walking distance to Harbor for whale watching. I was able to see whales right from the Lanai! Condo was clean and perfect size for my family of three. Beach chairs, cooler and boogie board where a great bonus. I will definitely stay here again!

Cute and comfortable!

Such a nice place. It had all the essentials and even extras to make our stay most enjoyable. Snorkel gear and boogie boards as well a coffee for our first morning. Great location. Central to our favorite spots. We would definitely stay there again. Very clean and bed was comfy.
