What an amazing time

Let me start with the negative ...if you call it that. I probably would not be able to drive up that hill, but I am a chicken ... it was intimidating. But not for my husband. And Lillian had us well prepared with a map and a video. Now on to the rest of our review- we loved the stay! What a perfect little place - what a great location. The first night, we had the AC on, but the rest of our stay, we left windows and door open to hear the nature sounds. Can you say Frogs and birds :) Our Son and his family came to visit. the kids are 12 and 7. They loved the hiking, the bridge, the fishing, but most of all - the SMORES! We will not hesitate to come back! Owner was so very attentive - checking in to be sure all was Ok and if there was anything else they could do for us. Which there wasnt - they had anticipated everything!

Beautiful cabin and location

This was a cozy cabin with a nice view of the hills and small pond, some trails on the property with some overlook spots. No problems at all! Lovely stay!

Lovely getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hideway at Harvest Moon. The quiet, privacy, fishing pond, and hanging bridge were great. We often stay in the area visiting our daughter at WCU and definely plan to come back. Note: If you plan to cook, you'll find everything you need, but don't bring too many refrigerated or frozen items as the refrigerator is very small.

Peaceful beauty

What a gorgeous property. We opened the door and we’re greeted with the fragrance of pine. Totally natural as the walls are made of locally milled pine. The setting is quiet, beautiful and serene. We enjoyed reading in the the quiet of the loft (I think of it more as a cabin), walking the paths and braving the hanging bridge (did I mention my fear of heights?) Lillian was a wonderful host. Very communicative and ready to answer any question we had. I would stay here over and over again.

Sweet & Peaceful

Our stay was absolutely perfect in every way. The view alone was breath taking. The kids really enjoyed the pond and the trails. My son loved fishing, while my daughter collected beautiful flowers and stunning rocks. It was very peaceful and calming. My husband and I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony at dusk and just enjoying the weather and the sounds of nature. We would highly recommend this little hide away❤

Nurtured by Nature

Our family needed lodging in the Sylva area due to our daughter's participation in a dance performance. Harvest Moon Loft and hostess, Lillian, were a wonderful choice for our weekend! The loft itself is cozy and very charming. Our daughter especially loved taking ownership of the upper loft area, accessible by ladder. She "decorated" the knee walls with her belongings and felt like queen of the castle as she overlooked the lower living area! Though the actual time we had to spend at the loft was abbreviated due to the dance rehearsal and performance, we immensely enjoyed and relaxed to the sound of the small, cascading waterfall right next to the house. It was very soothing and a balm for the busyness of the weekend. On our last morning before departing, we finally had time to explore more of the grounds. There is a peaceful pond, complete with dock and canoe, directly next to the loft. Notes provided by the hostess encouraged us to check out the trails and swinging bridge behind the pond. We were immediately transported to a beautiful Costa Rica-like environment, complete with a HUGE SWINGING BRIDGE across a deep ravine. What a fanciful discovery as we were anticipating something much smaller! We only wish we had had more time to partake of the lovely trails and nature setting. Thank you to Lillian and her family for a wonderful stay and for the beautiful bouquet of flowers, balloon, and card encouraging our dancing daughter!!
