The property was as described and pictures reflected in description were accurate. However, the location was not at all accurate. We had a group of 12. According to the location indicators we were walking distance to attractions we planned our weekend around. We were not only not walking distance we were several miles from the attractions that were clearly stated as walking distance. We had reservations for a boat cruise one night and dinner another. We had to take cabs. We actually could not get transportation for one reservation and the driver had to make 3 trips. This made us late for one of the reservations. That being said we required 6 round trips to town at a cost of $360 plus tips. More importantly is was a huge inconvenience.

Stay
The location in the map listing showed the property in Stillwater MN. It is in Bayport. Very misleading
Did not understand the bathroom scenario according to the listing.
There are mice in the house. We saw a couple and it ate our bread at night.
The property was great when we arrived, the water was high but the beach was still great, short drive from Stillwater and the house was a perfect size for our big family. We did find some old food and condoms under the bed, as well as saw a mouse, and the roof leaked in the loft when it was raining, there were also wasps on the patio. It was a cute place but could use some more upkeep for the price. With that being said with a little better cleaning th we would stay here again and the host was very flexible and amazing to communicate with!
It was a nice place to stay. It could of used a little more updates outside though. The pictures of the outside were from many years ago. Inside was very clean. Could use a little more maintenance in some areas. But for us it worked out just fine. The private beach could use some work because the public beach people came over a few times which we had to tell them to leave.. It should be roped off better.

Cool Beach house
We had so much fun and the place was super cool! The only thing I would change is updating the listing so it doesn’t say it’s within walking distance from Stillwater.
Had my wedding in Stillwater and hosted the groomsman here. It was awesome! No better way to wake up on your wedding day to a beautiful sunrise over the river. The house was exactly what was advertised! 5/5. I want to personally thank the owner for making my wedding weekend amazing!

Not what was expected
When we got there it was 53 degrees in the house. There is only one bathroom in the very spacious house. The other bathroom is outside with a code and is used by the marina. It was not really clean.
The floor was wet from a roof leak and the fireplace does not work. The tub in the only indoor bathroom did not drain but the owner fixed it temporarily. We think the dishwasher leaks too.
The house is big and open but needs more indoor bathrooms. Not a great place for 8 women. The view is great. We would not stay there again.
On the plus side, the house did get warm and the owner was responsive.
Amazing communication with property manager and great overall experience. Perfect for a group get together to enjoy the water and beach! Would absolutely recommend!
This place was everything we needed for a girls weekend. The beach was perfect and the common space held all of us without feeling cramped. A short walk into Bayport or a short drive to Stillwater and you had everything you need.
Brian was awesome to work with, would love to stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay! Brian and Jodi were incredible to work with, very responsive and checked in on our group to ensure we had everything we needed. The cabin was clean and fit a group of 8 very comfortably. The views of the water were awesome too and the outdoor space is perfect on a warm day. Thank you! We’ll be back!!
We had such a great time staying at the beach house! Although the weather wasn’t great, they had everything there that you would need for any weather. We even sat out on the patio under the umbrellas during the rain. Super easy drive to downtown Stillwater which is fun! There were 10 of us staying and everyone had a bed. Highly recommend!

Pros and cons
The location of the property is great. The access to the water and the available dock space for the boat was also great. The description says 2 bathrooms, which there is but one is outside and you have to share with other marina boaters. The floor in the house is very unsteady, as there are many spots that are weak and you feel like you were going to fall through. There were a lot of weeds on the deck and only 2 of the 4 umbrellas on the deck worked.
Stayed here this weekend with a group of guys for a bachelor party. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience for a group of 9 people. Plenty of space and activities nearby. The property is welcoming, the owners are quick and responsive and the atmosphere is outstanding. Would 10/10 recommend for larger groups.

Good experience for our 1st VRBO rental
The Beach House was perfect for our family gathering in many ways, including…..the long dining table that held 14 of us: the well stocked, roomy kitchen; the festive atmosphere with the neon beer signs; the patio with lots of seating, tables, and umbrellas. Two king size bed rooms accommodated 2 couples, one bedroom with standard bed and single bunk was used by 1 adult and 1 child, and the loft and bedroom with sliding door slept 1 child each in our case.
The shortcomings are the 2nd bathroom outside the house is used by boaters, so not always available; the public beach next door and the boat harbor were fairly busy due to July 4th weekend.
The place is very pleasant and well stocked with kitchen cooking and serving needs, even paper plates, cups, etc, and the private beach very nice with clear water. Our experience was positive.
Great house for any celebration. Lots of kitchen space and dining area for service. Fun bar area and neon lighting for great atmosphere. Sadly it was bad weather to enjoy the outdoor area, but great beach area for summer fun. Bedrooms were perfect for couples or singles to share, one bathroom indoors one outdoors. Lots of kitchen utensils, appliances, bathroom supplies, grill ….just about anything you would need.
