Each room has its own unique theme. Enjoy a groovy evening in the 70s room, or meditate in the Far Eastern den. Everything has been updated and customized for the perfect guest experience. Welcome to one of Louisville's most unique stays! Located just minutes from historic Churchill Downs. Each room has been custom designed to provide its own unique vibe. This house has it all. Historic character. Modern amenities. Custom charm. Travel through time and culture at Wanderhaus.
This home sleeps 8 comfortably in beds. 2 king beds and 2 queen beds. Dining room for 8 (we do not guarantee that place settings will be available as pictured).

Laundry accommodations are located in the basement.

-Motion and audio recording devices are located near the front door and back door on the exterior of the unit. We fully respect the privacy of all of our guests. These devices only record video and audio on the exterior of the home facing the front and rear areas of the home. The automatic recordings are triggered by motion and noise. These devices are present solely for the safety and security of our guests.

Clean and responsive host

Great communication with the hosts of the property, check in and check out instructions were clearly provided. The house was clean and perfect for our group. The off street parking was nice as most rentals in Louisville have street parking only.

The house is clean and well supplied for a great stay. The bedrooms housed our whole group very comfortably and were able to all enjoy our time.

Cute Little Place

Loved the eclectic decor of the place. Communication with the owner/property manager was excellent. They always responded very quickly. The home was very clean and had plenty of linens and towels for everyone. A bonus was that there was detergent and dryer sheets already there. Even though we did bring our own, that was a nice perk. The couch in the living room was very comfortable to curl up on at the end of the day. Would definitely stay here again.

OMG!!

The property far exceeded our expectations! There was plenty of room for our party of 4, so we all had the ability to have our own space. The furnishings...WOW! what a fun atmosphere! The property management group was amazing to work with and very responsive to messages and kept us updated on when the property would be ready for us to check in. I would definitely rent from them again!!

Great rental for Bourbon Trail

The house was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. It comfortably fit 1 couple and 2 single adults but could have easily accommodated 3-4 couples. The retro, quirky vibe and decor were a big hit with our group. Host was easy to reach and responded promptly. We would definitely book this house again!

Bourbon tour trip

Exactly as described

We had rooms for everyone, plus 3 full baths, the parking is really only for two cars, but we squeezed a third one in sideways behind the garage. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night, but the home has great security and we never felt unsafe. The stairs inside could use handrails. One tv upstairs didn’t always work, but the others were great and the family room couch holds 5-6 adults, which was perfect for us. Overall, great for a big group if you aren’t searching for zero imperfections.

Amazingly decorated home in a convenient location!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was in the most convenient location to travel back and forth to the convention center. Outside of town but close enough. The ends enjoyed all the art and decorations. We felt like we were in the 70s show! Loved it and will book again.

Family Christmas in Louisville

We needed a place for our family to be together for Christmas this year. This trip was about bringing 4 generations under one roof for quality family time. This home allowed us to do just that. There was adequate space for all of us (6 adults and 1 brand new member of the family just 3.5mths old) We cooked almost every meal for 9 days in this home and the home supplied us with all the equipment to accomplish this. As I said our trip was about spending time together. Eating, drinking, playing cards or games and just being together. The home was perfect for what we needed. We have stayed at many VRBO's and this was the best stocked home we have stayed in. Linens, Kitchen equipment, toiletries, all the little things were thought of. When we informed them this was for our family Christmas they even made sure there was a tree for us. Santa even found us with a few presents under the tree. The communication was OUTSTANDING. Every question was answered promptly and the level of care in their communication was PERFECT.

Unique Spacious Home

We loved this VRBO! The decor is super cool; 70’s nostalgia style; with modern amenities. The neighborhood is great. We felt really safe. The streets are alive with activity, but no shenanigans. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching passerbys. The backyard was perfect for our little pups. We could let them out by themselves with the fenced in yard. This house is enormous! There are three bathrooms and 4 bedrooms plus 4 sitting areas. The house was very clean. Great stay!

2nd year drop off

The property was great! We are completely satisfied with our stay. Plenty of room for us 4 and one dog. Two of the bedrooms were not even used. Everthing was just right! The property was very well maintained and the interior was like we were in the moment and everything was new. Furniture may look a little dated but its as if you were in a showroom today. We would definitely like to stay again.

Excellent Property with Great Property Manager

We had to come to Louisville at the last minute, and we’re lucky enough to find this rental available for the week. It is just as advertised and the property manager was great to work with. I would highly recommend for anyone coming to the city.

Tons of space and very clean

Loved the space inside the house, nice front porch and large yard. The house was very clean and with unique decorations yet very functional. The parking is in the back, next to the garage, off the Main Street, in a safe area. We will stay here again with family and friends.
