Aloha! Welcome to our freshly updated oceanfront condo located on the "Garden Island" Kauai.
- The condo offers stunning views of the culturally significant Wailua Bay and the lush mountain range beyond. My grandparents’ home, the condo was sold, with regret, in 2016, but joyfully reacquired by us in 2021! This 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo is truly steps from the beach, as well as a short walk to fine dining and shopping. Completely remodeled and furnished in 2021, this condo has all the amenities including custom cabinets, wide plank oak flooring, designer-picked furniture, and art. This condo provides you with everything you need to relax and enjoy your island stay! *This condo does Not back to the parking lot.
- The complex, appropriately named Lae Nani, meaning "beautiful face", boasts abundant tropical foliage and is nestled on the coast of Kauai's Wailua Bay. Wailua Bay is one of the most sacred places on the island and the ancestral home of the Hawaiian Royals. The stone remains of a sacred temple, known as a "heiau”, sit on the edge of this property, along the coast, and is still visited and used by local Hawaiians today.
- Lae Nani has a private gated parking lot, a tennis court, a heated saltwater pool, gas grills, a beach, Keiki (children's) pool, fish, turtles, good snorkeling, and the occasional "endangered" native monk seal.
- Lae Nani is located on the east shore in the town of Kapa’a. Kapa'a is centrally located on the island putting everything within easy driving distance, including the airport which is only 10-minutes away. In short, everything you need for a perfect getaway to paradise!

This condo does Not have A/C - We rely on the Tradewind and ceiling fans to provide cool breezes throughout the apartment. The jalousie windows in the bedrooms as well as in the ocean-facing living room can be opened to allow for the flow of air. Kauai is in the tropics, and it does get warm in the summer, but we have never felt A/C was necessary and would detract from the Hawaiian experience as well as the island's sweet scent of plumeria.

Perfect stay!

Beautiful condo with a wonderful view! Condo was even better than the pictures and hotel quality, which was perfect for our stay. Nice beach, very convenient and short walk to restaurants and shops. Loved the restaurant on the beach next door where we chose to have cooked breakfast most days and drinks in the evening. Great location for driving around the island as well!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our eight days at this condo with the spectacular view. The whole complex is well cared for, nicely landscaped, and in a good central location to easily go to all other parts of the island. The condo is exactly as listed - very nice!! We spent hours on the lanai - it is that scenic!

Beautiful, relaxing, dying to go back!!!

I'll admit I'm a skeptic about listings with gorgeous photos and claims about how wonderful everything is. Yeah...sure, I think to myself. Well this skeptic was wrong! We absolutely LOVED it! I had stayed at a nearby property in April and walked past it, so I knew it was a great location with beautifully maintained grounds. I've stayed at other properties that turned out to be party-centric, and this is a much mellower and friendlier crowd; I appreciated the expectation of quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. I didn't realize just how great the beach is there; I discovered it's more protected due to the shape of the beach. The unit itself was AMAZING. Very clean, fully stocked, tastefully decorated, comfy beds, and with a FABULOUS view. If a person is sensitive to heat, they may want to consider staying in a place with air conditioning (likely a hotel rather than a condo on Kauai). There is a nice breeze in the living room and the fans are great, however if a person is heat sensitive they might find it too warm if a fan isn't sufficient for them. All in all, I would highly recommend this and we would happily stay there again!!

We really made ourselves at home for our 10-day stay. The view, charm, comfort, and thoughtful details made this place easy to enjoy. The condo had everything we needed although my son would say air conditioning please. With that said there are many great ceiling and mobile fans. I also enjoyed the grounds, pool, beach and walking path nearby. Being in the water or outside under a palm tree in the heat of the day was super enjoyable. This is truly a special place. Thank you to Kara and family for sharing it with us!

Dream vacation

This condo made us feel like we were on a dream vacation. The location is absolutely perfect, with the keiki beach, the pool and especially with the Coconut Market just 5 minutes away by foot, where you can dine and shop. A 5 minute drive will take you to all the necessities. The few times we stayed and cooked, the kitchen was fully stocked. No AC but never felt the need of it either, with the constant ocean breeze, and the ceiling fans. We slept like babies. Communication with host was easy. I truly wish we had never left. I hope we can come back in the future! Mahalo!

We had a wonderful stay at this direct oceanfront condominium. Beautiful ocean and beach views. Very clean, updated and well cared for. Everything was as presented in the description and the owner was great to work with. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

We managed to see wuite a lot: visits included the North area for Tunnel beach. The Botanical Garden Shipwreck Beach Kaapa Beach and even a Kayak Tour and Luau Fun times

Wonderful property. Even better than the pictures!

We could not have been happier with our stay in this lovely condo in the Lae Nani complex, which is beautifully maintained. The condo itself is very comfortable with a perfect view of the beach from the lanai. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had all of the things we needed to cook, including condiments and seasonings. The condo included anything we needed to have beach fun, including beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a beach umbrella, and coolers. We could easily walk right down to the fantastic small beach in front of the property and relax and swim there. The pool was quite nice as well if the ocean became too choppy or cold. The location of this condo couldn't have been better. It is a five minute walk from several restaurants, bakeries, and shops, including gelato and a Jo Jo's Shaved Ice location. The host was so friendly and attentive when messaged. Overall we loved it here and would definitely stay again if we ever come back to Kauai.

Our stay at Lae Nani was everything we hoped it would be. The condo is extremely clean and the decor is beachy and charming. The view from the lanai is gorgeous. The beds and bedding are very comfy and there’s a fun restaurant, Lava Lava, right next door. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing experience!

Amazing property, view, location! The condo had everything we needed- well stocked kitchen, beach gear, even a washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable (living room furniture less so but we were early home to even use the space). Best of all was the amazing view from the lanai and the beach outside. We had such a great time! Thank you for the amazing accommodations.

Kauai with long time friends

We had a beautiful 14 day visit with our friends in September. We really enjoyed the location of the VRBO as it was walking distance to many local amenites such as the Passion Bakery, Napali Brewing, Lava Lava and Coconut Marketplace. The airport and Costco were only a short drive away and we were at a good half-way point to Princeville, Waimea. We were also close to Kappa, and Poipu, where we were able to enjoy the turtles and the scenic beach hikes. The VRBO was very clean and had 2 comfortable spacious bedrooms. The kitchen was well appointed, and had everything that we needed. The lanai had an incredible view of the ocean, where the men spotted a turtle in the surf. The beaches were fabulous to have our daily soak and the grounds was kept immaculate by the maintenance crew. Staff at the facility were extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing we would have liked was more comfortable furniture in the living room. However this would not be a dealbreaker to not return, and we're already thinking of our next vacation to Kauai. We would definitely come back to Wailua and this vacation rental. Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

Amazing view! The pictures do not give it justice!

From the moment we arrived we knew we picked the right place to stay. The condo was so perfect and so comfortable. We had everything we could need and more. From the "extras" in the kitchen (juicer, spices, etc. and all the other items available to use such as chairs, boards, flippers and more! Trust me when I say that the pictures on VRBO do not do it justice because the view from the lanai is truly breathtaking! The condo was also perfect walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, Passion Bakery Cafe and of course the Lava Lava Beach Club. Kara was also very responsive if we ever needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Oceanview Condo with Beach Access

This was our second time to Kauai and we loved staying in this condo! The location was fantastic for exploring the island or relaxing at the beach or pool at the condo. The condo’s lanai had a very nice table and four chairs plus two lounge chairs. It was a wonderful place to eat breakfast in the morning, get lunch takeout from the Sleeping Giant Grill ( short walk from the condo), and watch gorgeous sunsets in the evening. The beach was just a short walk away after passing the condo’s pool. The owners provided everything you need for a Hawaiian vacation for two couples: 4 beach chairs, 4 beach towels, coolers, ice packs, and well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. There are so many good restaurants a short drive away like Sam’s Oceanside - make sure to make reservations, and Tony’s Fresh Catch Food truck for amazing shrimp tacos and fish tacos! Also, a short walk away from the condo is the Lava Lava Beach Club with a good happy hour, live music, and ocean/beach view. We enjoyed going to the coconut market place where there are shops, restaurants, a grocery store and one of Joe Joe’s satellite shave ice. Personally, we enjoyed picking up groceries here instead of driving a little farther to the Safeway. Also, we chose to visit the original Joe Joe’s Shave Ice down south for nostalgia. The owners of the condo are wonderful hosts. They provided us with information in a timely manner and gave us great recommendations in the area. We highly recommend staying here!
