very disappointing
This property simply did not live up to our expectations and we think there are some misleading descriptions on its website.
We were surprised and very disappointed to find it is located on a busy main road. This made driving out of the property very dangerous.The website quoted "the vast and shaded grounds provide plenty of privacy" - there was very little shade, some of the trees shown on the web-site did not exist and the traffic noise did not provide privacy.
The routing instructions provided were not very helpful. "After some time" turned out to be 800 metres and the "green" gate was brown. The advertised internet facility was effectively non-existent. We were unable to get any workable connection. The two upstairs bedrooms lacked wardrobes/hanging space. The BBQ grill had not been cleaned, and although there was a sink next to the BBQ, there was no water supply or outlet. The grounds were nowhere near as attractive as shown on the web-site. The gravel covered space between house and pool was rough ground - very little gravel, no plants in pots and lots of weeds. Given the price paid for one week, we were not amused to have to pay for use of towels - which we didn't know at the time of booking.
Last, and by no means least was the owner's attitude. We only saw her when she wanted something of us, like the towel and cleaning charges on arrival and to agree our departure time, which she insisted must be no later than 10:00. She wasn't interested in talking about the lack of internet connection.
At 09:59 on the Saturday she appeared and was most annoyed that we weren't quite ready to leave. (We did leave before 10:30).
From our experience we cannot recommend staying at this property.
