Lovely room with beautiful garden just outside the door in Montecito. King size bed, new shower tub, desk, wireless internet, flat panel TV, basic cable, gated property, laundry, fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Bed linens and towels provided as well. Peaceful garden area and use of shared pool and spa. E-mail for more info and please include your phone number.

$500 fully refundable deposit and rentals require a one time $100 cleaning fee.

The Golden's Love It!

Wow! The newly remodeled kitchen and tub/shower was a wonderful surprise. My wife, myself and our 2 Golden's always receive a warm welcome from Carla. My wife hails from Santa Barbara so it is always a whirl wind of visiting relatives and friends. This is an efficient comfortable and very clean place to stay. A block away is a nice neighborhood to walk the dogs and the beech is a mere 6 minutes by car. This was our seventh stay and we have already booked for next year! Carla always goes the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Thank you Carla!

Entire property well maintained. But cottage area and yard are small and tighter than photos

Seating outside cottage was poor; not as nice as what provided for other units. TV did not work, but we didn’t ask for help on it ‘cuz we didn’t need it. Cottage was clean, bed very comfortable. Minimal kitchen and fridge were adequate and fine. In retrospect, price seems a bit high for what one gets. Landlord pleasant and helpful. Location very convenient. Neighboring unit had a family with kids, but the walls controlled sound effectively. One guest dog was very yappy.

Oasis

Carla's sweet studio is the perfect oasis to relax and rejuvenate. The studio is well appointed, with a kitchenette and even a washer/dryer. I enjoyed the pool area and getting to know the other guests. I LOVE that I can bring my dog here and I can't believe how quiet it is. Carla and her husband are lovely people. I would highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back and will stay here again and again. Thank you for the perfect vacation!!

Comfortable sweet studio

Comfortable, sweet studio in beautiful Montecito. It is a lovely place for walks, with beautiful beaches and delicious restaurants nearby. Carla and David are friendly hosts and welcomed us and our Golden Retriever puppy. Other guests were also friendly and informative. We would definitely be happy to stay at this property again.

The Perfect Place for a Beautiful, Quiet Get-Away

This lovely oasis in the midst of Montecito is the perfect place to stay - beautiful, private and close to everything. The beach is a mile away and the upper village as well. Either taking 101 or the beach route, Santa Barbara and all the wonderful things to do there are only minutes away. Carla and David are the perfect hosts. Carla was quick to respond to all our needs. We also met very some very nice guests staying in neighboring studios. Our studio was small, but perfect for a couple needing a true getaway. Looking out on a small garden, it was just steps away from a fabulous rock-lined hot tub. At night you can look up at the stars. It's a quiet and secure location. We hated to leave and hope to return in the future.

Nice Stay!

We enjoyed staying at the Sweet Studio - the complex was quiet and beautifully landscaped, and the hosts were responsive. We enjoyed the location in Montecito - it was the starting point for several lovely drives through the area. The studio itself is well-stocked and has all the equipment needed to make simple meals - there's even a little outdoor table so you can eat outside. One thing that would improve the studio itself is some additional ventilation such as a screen on the sliding door, a ceiling fan, or a mini-split - it was difficult to get the room to cool down at night.

A little slice of paradise!

We loved staying at Carla's cottages, five glorious days. Great location, lovely property. Our sweet studio was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The other guests staying at the property were friendly and thoughtful. It was a wonderful experience!

Lovely and Peaceful

We had a wonderful time. This cute, well appointed cottage was comfortable and everything as promised. The property was gorgeous and close to everything we needed. Carla was warm and inviting, giving us recommendations for restaurants and bike routes. We would love to come back.

Great retreat in Montecito

I stayed in one of Carla's studio cottages with my daughter. We found it to be a welcome spot to go to away from all the tourists in Santa Barbara. Cottage was clean and the kitchen was better supplied than most of the large vacation homes my family has rented - spices, oils, plenty of cooking utensils, etc. The pool area is wonderful - beautifully landscaped and maintained. Carla is very friendly, responsive, and patient.

The Goldens

We have already requested dates for next year (2018) which will be our 6th stay. I think that says a lot. Quiet, comfortable and welcoming. We love staying at Carla's. She loves our dogs and that makes us feel like home. My wife, a Santa Barbara native, thinks Carla's is the best possible place to stay in the area and she knows the area well. Thank you Carla!

Great getaway, everything you could need!

Carla's cottages is a great find for a peaceful getaway in Montecito. Carla greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in the Sweet Studio, which is equipped with burners, coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge and more. The bed is really comfortable! The pool and spa are beautiful, and we enjoyed afternoons in the sun. The property is tucked away and felt like we were really getting away from it all. We also appreciate anywhere that is pet friendly and our dog Romeo enjoyed his stay as well! The location is convenient if you have a car. Easy to get to 101, really close to hiking trails and the San Ysidro Ranch where we had a great meal (with Carla's suggestion). Carla was very responsive when we had any questions. We would love to come back and stay again if we were in the area.

Loved our stay, once again, at Carla's cottage

This was the 5th straight year we have stayed at Carla's Cottages, and we have loved every visit. We've been coming to Santa Barbara for over 30 years, so we know the area well. Carla and Dave are absolutely wonderful people, and feel like family to us. They are very accommodating, and it's always sad to be leaving. The Cottages are perfect - clean, comfortable, private, and the perfect 'home away from home'. We look forward to our visits every year. My wife, daughter and I highly recommend Carla's cottages.
