Our St. Paddy's Day Weekend

10 of us headed to unknown terrirtory--stayed in Sewanee to attend a concert (Irish band "Altan") at The Caverns. We wanted a place we could all be together (ha, we travel in a herd) and wanted a place where we would not disturb anyone as we love our music, competitive games (ha). This place was PERFECT! Extra clean, plenty of room, clear on what we needed to do on arrival/departure. Kathryn, property manager, was an awesome communicator, and appreciated her efforts in finding places to eat--we ate/drank Shenanigans and loved that place. Everyone had a great time and we would stay here again, but alas, other places to check off our bucket list (hey we are old but fun-loving).

Birthday Getaway

We wanted to get away to Sewanee to celebrate our sons birthday. This was the perfect place with more than enough room for the 8 of us. The house had everything we needed and the most comfortable beds. Can't wait for another visit to the mountain.

Best Weekend Getaway!

This house was everything we could have asked for in a weekend getaway. We had 8 adults & 1 infant and we have everything we needed. The kitchen is amazingly stocked with the best appliances and cookware. It’s the perfect house to accommodate a large group and VERY children friendly. The communication with the property manager has been professional and super informative. We had no issues with appliances or cleanliness. We especially loved the sun room, and the large dining table!

Great for friends and family!

Excellent stay all the way around. Gorgeous property and home - loved all the rooms and amenities. We cooked a big family dinner and had guests over on the back patio - perfect setting. The host was MORE than responsive - Kathryn let us take our family to the listing before our stay graciously. Highly recommend and will stay again next time in Sewanee. You wont be disappointed.

Wonderful large home

The location was great and the home was spacious and inviting for a large group. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything that we needed and the outdoor space was lovely. Comfortable beds and linens and plenty of privacy.

Wedding weekend

Great space to unwind and regather ourselves between events for our nieces wedding. Wish we had more time to just enjoy this beautiful home and all it had to offer. Great sleeping arrangements for three couples and 3 teens. Kathryn was a great host, with great communication and support for our trip. Thanks so much! And the yearbooks were a definite highlight - we were able to find a couple years for my brother and my dad. So neat!

Beautiful home!

This house was absolute perfection. It is exactly as listed and has anything you could possibly need and more. We were in town for a family wedding and brought our adult children and grands. The house has a great layout. Two huge bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. The master and two additional bedrooms are downstairs along with two day beds. All beds had super comfy mattresses and linens and their towels are super top quality. The master bathroom was bigger than some bedrooms I’ve been in at rentals with a bathtub as big as a hot tub. The dining areas were huge and the kitchen is so well stocked for a rental! Now, let’s talk about the beautiful and peaceful outdoor space. We wished we could have stayed out there the whole weekend. Enjoyed our coffee and breakfast outside each morning while the kids ran around and explored the huge yard. Birds and all kinds of critters to watch…total plus for our outdoorsy family. Extra large front load washer and dryer were super convenient so we all went home with clean clothes…love to not have dirty laundry upon arrival at home. Checkin and checkout were a breeze and Kathryn was a fantastic communicator. Finally, the beautiful fresh flowers they left for us were the icing on the cake. The most gorgeous and unexpected surprise. Just wish we could have seen the garden these gorgeous blooms came from. Don’t hesitate to book this exemplary home! Be sure to go see the overlook in town as well. Such a beautiful site!

Perfect visit

This was our second stay at this home, and it was even better than the first stay. The owner has added additional furniture and decorations - and it is beautiful. Kathryn is an exceptional host and ensured that our stay was perfect.

Fabulous home! Great location!

Kathryn’s home is beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of six. Very well stocked with everything that we needed - and located close to everything in Sewanee. We enjoyed hiking trails and lots of Sewanee baseball. Kathryn was very accommodating and responded quickly - even checking in the first day to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We have already booked our second trip to this wonderful home!

Girls weekend getaway

We have a group of friends since college that get together every year- and this was a great spot for it. Sewanee and Monteagle are beautiful, and this property is the perfect location to them. Plenty of space for a larger group! The host was so kind and accommodating. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Amazing Stay

Our ladies' Bible study group loved this property and will be back. The 7 minute to Sewanee campus, ample parking, private beautiful backyard with fire pit were perfect. The gathering areas inside were nice sized, and plentiful; the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and dishware. The home was cozy, comfy and well decorated. The bedrooms had plenty of room, with several beds to choose from, including 3 king size beds. All were comfortable, and linens were nice quality. Our only snag was the wifi, and the management replied promptly to our issue and resolved it promptly. What a gem!

Beautiful home, great location

The home was much more than I expected in many ways. There was lots of space inside and outside, the furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms are wellstocked and it is very close to the Sewanee campus. The back porches (inside and outside) were such a nice place to sit in the mornings and evenings. Kathryn was very nice and easy to contact. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again.

Great Place in Mountain

Had a great experience at the Sewanee House. House was very clean with plenty of towels, dishware, etc.. Kathryn and Deana were responsive quickly when I requested WiFi and a few smaller items. Know they are working on getting fiber cable which is the only thing missing at the price point but having said that was kinda nice to be away from the internet for a weekend! Would recommend to any and all.
