Our cabin is only 3 miles from Hanging Rock State Park, voted by USA Today as one of the “20 Stunning State Parks Across the USA.” The Dan River (walking distance) is home to kayaking, tubing, fishing, and white-water; and Pilot Mountain State Park is just 20 miles away!

So nice!

My sun and his band played The Arts Place. I had gotten the place for them, but the other guys moved on. Me son and I stayed Sunday night, and he staued Monday nigjt. It was perfect size. Loved the layout and the large front windows. cabin for them

Wonderful!

Property was clean and well appointed. We prepared all our meals at the house - and we had everything we needed! Loved our location close to Hanging Rock State Park and took the kids swimming everyday. Also took the host recommendation to view the sunset at a local church. Spectacular sunset!

Great location to park

We had an excellent stay. Our goal was to explore the park and this was the perfect location. Not much going on in Danbury, so bring your own food. I do recommend the lunch place - River Rock Cafe - for sandwich and soup, great way to break up a day of hiking. The host was extremely responsive. House is very clean. We will be back.

Perfect Get-Away For Close Friends/Tribe

Me and my small group had the best get-away in Danbury. Spencer and Logan were THE BEST hosts! The house was VERY clean. They were prompt with their replies, the house had EVERYTHING and anything we needed. We set up a few tents outside, enjoyed a beautiful fire, grilled out.. we truly couldn't have asked for more. We've all agreed we'll be back :)

Beautiful home with awesome view

Very comfortable home with privacy and awesome views. Kids loved riding bikes and playing soccer in the driveway. One hour drive to Elon University. We will definitely be back for future visits!!

Great Cabin in an Interesting Area

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin is on a hill and has great views of the surrounding area. It is also in a great location for hiking at Hanging Rock State Park, and for exploring the area. Danbury is like a time-capsule with lots of history and old buildings. The cabin is well equipped, check-in is easy, and the owners respond quickly if you have any questions.

Fabulous Spring Getaway

We had an amazing time. The cabin was adorable and very cozy. Location was fantastic for hiking Hanging Rock and the Lower Cascade Falls. We even did some zip lining. The fire pit was a favorite of the kids after a long day of hiking - we cooked dinner and s’mores. We’re already planning our next trip back! And the t-shirts were fantastic!

Family Getaway

This was our first time to Hanging Rock State Park and Pilot Mountain State Park. The cabin was a perfect place for us to enjoy both parks. Perfect size for our family of 4+friend. We want to come back in summer to enjoy the outdoor water activities in the area and plan to book this this place again.

Absolutely Gorgeous

We had a small weekend getaway. It was a perfect spot up back off the road away from town but still close. It was extremely clean and relaxing. Definitely on the favorite list to go back there. I highly recommend it

Great getaway- comfy, thoughtful, close to fun!

This is a lovely property. Nicely appointed, clean, had everything we needed. Good A/C too! Loads of sunlight for bright and cheery days. Big firepit- firewood was included! Even though it’s right in Danbury, it felt very secluded. There’s only one other cabin on the vast property. Very close to Hanging Rock and Dan River fun. It rained one day while we were there and we had a blast hanging out inside and playing games. Roku Tv came with all our preferred streaming apps. Good for families with young kids. We are a family of four: two adults and a 4yo and 6yo. Felt safe, lots of space for kids to play outside.

All was as described or shown in pictures with two exceptions: 1. No blinds or curtains in the upstairs bedroom, thus awakening at first light. 2. The picture of the river suggests that it is on the property or development. In fact, it is more of a local attraction.

The cabin was very nice, clean, and easy to locate. It sits on a secluded property with only one other unit; however, its still very private. There was a doe and her fawns one night and pretty dark for star gazing. The fire pit and porch seating are wonderful. The beds are comfortable and they provide extra bedding, throw blankets, and pillows. Plenty of hot water for the showers four our family of four with plenty to spare. They have items for little children like high chairs, dishes, etc. which I thought was great. The guest book talked about how accomidating the owners are around the holidays for guests. The dishbwasher needs to have the switch on by the light switch near the sink/stove in order to work which took a minute to figure out. Its a short distance to Hanging Rock, Pilot, and several other great locations. The larger grocery store is about 30 minutes away and close relatively early so plan accordingly. There are great local eateries and a homemade ice cream place that is definately worth checking out. Communication with the owners is easy and they provide easy to follow directions for check in and out. Would definately recommend and stay again.
