A Stone's Throw Lodge, Adventure, Just a Stone's Throw Away

Located in Altmar, NY, on the ATV and snowmobile trails and walking distance to the Salmon River, dining, grocery, gas and more. Tube or Kayak the Salmon River! Only 6 miles away from the town of Pulaski where there are additional stores, dining and Interstate 81. Additionally Lake Ontario, Salmon River Reservoir and Oneida Lake is just a short drive away.
Individual room rentals are not available. The whole Lodge can be rented anywhere from 2 nights to 90 days. Guests can have access to the garage on site, upon request. Keep your toys and gear out of the elements!
PET FRIENDLY!!!!! Your pets are a part of your family, so bring them along. A pet deposit is required and we ask that you cleanup after your pet.

Cozy cabin with everything you could need

You wouldn't think it from the outside, but the inside is completely updated and has everything you could need. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with when we had an issue. Beds are very comfortable and location was perfect. Easy walk to local local bar/restaurant too

The purpose of our visit was to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family in NY. We are from NC and always struggle to find the best place to stay for a family of 6. House was perfect location to family. Our stay was also great. Very clean home with all of the amenities we needed. Would definitely recommend to friend of family member traveling to the Altmar area.

Great 4 days fishing for salmon

We were a group of 10, family and friends. Accomodations where exactly as stated. We had a great time!! Caiught 8 salmon 16-20 lbs each and 1 trout. Looking forward to coming back again!! Andrea was wonderful, great communication! Thank you

Winter Weekend Family Getaway

Our family of 6 adults and 2 teens stayed for a long weekend for our annual snowmobiling trip. We chose A Stone’s Throw Lodge because of the trail access. Unfortunately with the lack of snow this year we did not have the opportunity to ride but the house was large enough to allow for games and puzzles at the table while others watched movies. The house was spotless and beds comfortable. It was nice to be able to bring our dog as well. Planning on renting again.

Salmon trip 2022

A Stones Throw Lodge surpassed our expectations. Andrea’s property is big and roomy. Perfect for a larger group. The entry room is great for changing out of your gear and drying waders. Andrea is responsive, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Hoping A Stones Throw is available when we plan our trip next year!

A family weekend and wedding celebration

We were attending a family weekend in Altmar - and I wanted to have "time" with my immediate family of 3 sons, daughter in laws and grand kids. The Stones Throw Lodge was perfect for our family - as we were even able to have a grand dog show up as well! Andrea was a delight to work with pre stay and checked in on us via text during the stay and after we checked oput - She is truly a "hostess with the most-est!" Next time we have to get together with family in the area - we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

I am a local girl, born and raised in Brewerton, NY, on Oneida Lake. I have traveled all around the country, from the Carolinas to Alaska, while working in the Hospitality industry.
It has been a dream of mine to own my own little piece of Heaven and I want to share it with all of you. I love to ride and fish myself, so what not a better place to own than a house right off of the ATV and Snowmobiling trails and walking distance to the Salmon River.
I strive to exceed all of my guests expectations and I hope that you will visit us on this journey of making A Stone's Throw Lodge bigger and better every season!
