At the southern tip of Langeland, Gulstav, close to steep banks, forests, bogs, Bodden, lighthouse like large bird sanctuary lies this unique thatched house. Gulvstavgaard, as it is called, was built in 1999/2000 in 2 floors. On the 1st floor living room with double sofa bed and access to the balcony. The first floor has tiled floors with underfloor heating and the 1st floor is carpeted. It is situated on a beautiful natural ground. In the annex you will find a washing machine, dryer and freezer. On Gulstav Mose and the meadows in the area graze exmoor ponies/wild oferde, a nature reserve owned by the Bird Protection Association and 7 hectares in size.Over 40 species of birds are registered in the Gulstav Mose. South of the bog is Dovns Klint, a good place to watch migratory birds. 5 km from the cottage is Bagenkop, an old fishing village, where there is still an authentic and well preserved fishing harbor, from where the fishing boats set sail daily. You can also visit the modern and well-attended sailboat harbor, where music is played in the summer. Bagenkop is an active town - if you want to exercise, there is a sports hall, a gym and a Jump'n More for the little ones. On the fort on Langeland there is a Cold War museum. Here you can enter a submarine and learn, for example, how spies worked under the Cold War.
