This cabin is an amazing place to stay. We planned a last minute ski trip this spring and somehow the cabin was available when we were booking last minute. The views from the deck outside are incredible overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains. The cabin itself was more than we could have asked for and gave us a great place to continue enjoying our trip while we were off of the mountain. We would absolutely stay here again!
Cabin was super clean and peaceful. Two windows won’t close and two windows won’t open got really hot in afternoon and took a long time to cool off. No ac. I would stay again but not in the summer.
This is my second time staying at this property. I love it here beautiful , peaceful amazing view Perfect for me to visit my favorite mountain towns Oray, silverton and still be close to Durango and 2 miles from hot springs.
My family and I stayed here for 4 days and we were pleasantly surprised it was even better than described and shown. It had an expansive deck with beautiful views and furniture to sit on that wasn't in the listing. We actually bought camp chairs because we weren't sure if they would have anywhere to sit. They also had an amazing porch swing that wasn't described, that was fabulous! The only cons were that the kitchen equipment was too basic and not practical to actually cook meals. The dishes, coffee pot, silverware etc. were pretty low end. Some things are outdated but the logs are beautiful and cozy. Definitely wished there was air though! It was REALLY HOT! Also, the drive up is no joke, especially if you arent from the mountains. Owner was great and we could even bring our dog! I would stay here again for sure. They also have a vintage Pac Man game that was fun to play. Very close to town as well and you can even see the iconic Silverton/Durango train!
This property was wonderful in all ways. The owners had the property supplied with everything we could need plus. We loved every minute of our stay at this property. Thank you.
Our family is spending 10 days exploring some of the highlights Colorado has to offer. We stayed in Hermosa for two nights. Went white water rafting and took the Durango to Silverton train. Highly recommend both of those adventures.
The cabin’s view was way undersold in my opinion. As soon as we parked in the driveway, we were awestruck!!! Breathtaking views and peaceful.
The beds were the comfiest we’ve slept on so far on our adventure. We woke up refreshed every morning.
My only suggestions would be to have an information binder about the area. We’ve come to enjoy looking through these in all the years of traveling and renting cabins. And also-the beds were amazing but the pillows left a lot to be desired. Just had to double up and we were fine.
Would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone and we hope to return someday!
Wonderful location to visit San Juan Mtns, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon- amazing sites. Also close to downtown Durango for shopping and restaurants. Our family of five had a great time.
This is such a great rental! Cabin is cozy with stunning woodwork, large front porch with swing that overlooks the whole valley, great gas fire place, gas grill and stove nice new comfortable bedding and a jet tub and shower! Had a fun time watching the snow at night making the lights from town below come in and out of view even the large Durango town Christmas tree! In cabin Christmas tree and Ms Pacman arcade game were a great touch! Only 5 min from Durango hot springs and had deer turkeys pheasant and fox come through the yard! Will love to come back in the warmer months and hang out on the large lower patio over looking the valley as well!
This cabin is in a beautiful location about 12-15 minutes North of Durango. The cabin is simple, tidy and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.
There is a deck with an expansive view outside the home that we really enjoyed eating at.
As an FYI, this cabin (like many homes in the area) does not have A/C. This is normal in Colorado (so nothing wrong with it), but you may consider this if you are traveling in the middle of summer and desire A/C or are especially heat sensitive.
