About the host
Hosted by Cheri Smith

Hello! My name is Cheri, and I'm delighted to make your acquaintance! My, husband, father, and I call beautiful Hutchinson Island home for 6 months out of the year. We live and work in Rhode Island in the summer months, running our charter sportfishing business, and we'd love to share our beautiful Treasure Coast home with you while we're not there. We're new to VRBO, but not to providing excellent customer service. You can check us out on TripAdvisor, where we have 5-star reviews from thousands of customers from all over the world. C-Devil II Sportfishing, Point Judith, Rhode Island.
Why they chose this property
There's something about Hutchinson Island... The 23-mile-long barrier beach stretching from the top of Martin County north into St. Lucie County. Once you see this stretch of sand, you won’t want to leave. The scenic causeways over the two-mile-wide Indian River Lagoon, where pelicans wait patiently on posts for fishermen to toss some lunch their way – are as scenic as the beach itself.
If the beach isn't your thing, take in some of Hutchinson Island’s wonderful historic and cultural attractions. A quick trip over to mainland Fort Pierce for Farmers and Arts markets every weekend. Lovely local shops, restaurants, and marinas. The historic architecture of Old Florida.
If you prefer to stay close to home, Coconut Cove is a beautiful, oasis of palm trees, situated on a quiet lagoon. A quiet enclave of just a handful of homes, the pride of ownership is evident in the sparkling clean clubhouse and meticulously landscaped grounds.
Our beautiful, modern, 3-story townhome has every amenity you could need for a long and relaxing stay. Don't do stairs? No worries - our personal elevator takes you from the garage all the way to the third level, with ease.
Enjoy meals on your private patio overlooking the boats. Sit by the firepit with friendly neighbors to watch the glorious sunsets. Workout in the well-equipped fitness room, or take a dip in the sparkling clean, geothermally heated and cooled salt-water pool. This resort setting coaxes you to relax and rejuvenate.

What makes this property unique
Location, location, location...
Within a few minutes walk of Coconut Cove is the beach, of course, some great restaurants, and beautiful Jetty Park, where you can stroll out along the jetty, spend some time fishing, or people watch with a friend or loved one from one of the swings along the inlet.
A quick trip over the bridge takes you to beautiful downtown Fort Pierce. Often called the Sunrise City, it has been the hub of St. Lucie County, Florida for over 100 years. Situated on the "Treasure Coast," named after the famed sinking of a Spanish treasure fleet in 1715, Fort Pierce is one of the oldest communities on the east coast of Florida.
USA Today applauded Fort Pierce’s downtown for being one of the most “Idyllic and historic main streets across the USA.” Cooled by breezes off the Indian River, swaying palm trees line the sidewalks, and the atmosphere evokes the early 1900’s when the city came into its own. Period Spanish architecture punctuates the downtown area, the star of which is the historic Sunrise Theatre. The Saturday Farmer’s Market is a must, as is Bike Night, Friday Fest, Jazz Market and Arts Festivals.
Fort Pierce’s Main Street was named No. 1 on Top Value Review's “50 Best Small Town Main Streets” in America -- one of only two Florida cities named on the list, and it beat out notable quaint small towns such as Nantucket, Mass., and Steamboat Springs, Colo.
Access to the Intracoastal Waterway, and Florida's safest and widest inlet, make our spot a boater's paradise. A safe harbor for your boat (should you arrange to bring it) at our private dock, and only 20 miles to the big game fish of the gulf stream, and a day trip to the turquoise flats of the Bahamas.
Our location is ideal for exploring all Florida has to offer. An hour from the Palm Beaches. A hundred miles from the theme parks of Orlando, or the nightlife and culture of Miami. Whichever direction you choose, you're just minutes from I-95 and the Florida Turnpike.
