Sunset loft – newly renovated, beautiful one bedroom and one loft cottage.

You will love Sunset Loft it is A beautiful cottage overlooking the marsh with gorgeous sunset views. Features a loft which comfortably sleeps two children or young adults. Also included for your comfort are brand new stainless steel refrigerator/washer /dryer /dish washer . The sliding glass back door of Sunset Loft opens up onto to a private area where you can grill and look out onto one of the best sunsets on the point ! There are always birds to watch (egrets, herons, ibis, seagulls)! We are within two miles of Old Orchard beach and a block away from the beautiful seven mile Pine Point Beach. We are within a short drive to local attractions movie theatre, amusement park and water park, golf course and the beautiful city of Portland. Within walking distance of the cottage there are multiple restaurants and Maine Sea Food establishments that allow for take out or sitting outside enjoying the views. To make your vacation a little more adventurous! I have two bikes you can use to cruise the area as well as beach chairs and beach toys for the kiddos! You can rent all your toys at Fun and Sun rental within walking distance of the cottage, they have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards for rent. Catch sunset on the marsh or the ocean... take your pick! Overall an great vacation destination with multiple options for fun and sun within walking distance if you choose!

Great Little Cottage in a Fantastic Location

My wife and I stayed at Sunset Loft for a week in August 2023. The description is very accurate, and as everyone has noted, Roma has done a great job of outfitting and decorating the cottage. We only used the loft to store our suitcase, but I’m sure it would be fine and fun for a couple kids. Plenty of storage space in the bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen well equipped, as I cooked several meals here. I’m not a fan of gas grills, but this two-burner Weber got plenty hot. Very easy three-short-block walk to the gorgeous beach. And the small backyard facing Scarborough Marsh is magical, surrounded by bird feeders. I timed this visit around the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. We only had a couple clear night skies, but I did manage to catch some shooting stars while sitting in the backyard.

Absolutely Perfect

The house has everything we could need or want. It was perfect for our family and so close to the beach. The washer and dryer made it easy to have clean beach towels, suits and clothes daily.

Sunset Loft

We had a great stay at the Sunset Loft! It was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and the view was gorgeous. It was a very convenient location with the beach nearby and great restaurants. If we ever go back to Maine, we know where to go!

Love the Sunset Loft!

This was our second year to stay at the sunset loft; we liked it so much last year that we just had to come back! It's so bright and airy and Roma has the place so nicely decorated! It was so clean and comfortable! And I just love watching all of the birds in the marsh right in the backyard! The fresh flowers were such a nice touch too! We got take out most every night (you can walk to several good restaurants) and we especially enjoyed watching the sunset and eating at the table in the backyard. The beach is also within walking distance so we went to the beach every day too. Thank you Roma for another wonderful stay at your sunset loft!

A nice place at a relaxing location

We enjoyed our stay, it was just the right size for a family of 3. Pine Point was laid back . We had quick access to beach and great places to eat. Highly recommended spot!

Relaxing!

We truly enjoyed this property and plan to stay again next year. The cottage was just adorable outside and inside. Roma left flowers and just had really nice decorations that made the cottage feel like home.

Wonderful Little Slice of Maine

My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the sunset loft. We loved the way it was decorated and it had everything we could possibly need! And it was so clean and spotless! We walked to the beach every day (some days more than once!) as it was about 5 minutes away and walked to nearby restaurants (which were great) as well. The backyard overlooks this beautiful marsh and we saw lots of birds! The yard is also very nice; we loved seeing all the birds/butterflies there too. Thank you Roma for a wonderful stay; we hope to come back again someday!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This cottage is just beautiful. The attention to detail was impressive. Every inch of the space is decorated beautifully with a beach theme. It has everything you need, the host Roma has thought of everything and more. The cottage was exactly as it looks in the photos and was as described, also very clean and organized. Short walk to a beautiful beach just a street over. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. You can easily walk or bike to many locations. Having two bikes provided was so great. The back yard was quiet and peaceful looking out over the marsh it was just beautiful. I would go back to this cottage in a second.

New happy place

I can’t say enough good things about our Sunset Loft experience, from booking to communicating with Roma and finally, our stay. The loft is thoughtfully stocked with almost anything you can think of (I’m making notes for things I don’t have to pack next year!), is beautifully decorated with the smartest use of space, and the location cannot be beat. The sunset views from the backyard are unforgettable and the beach is a three minute walk away. Several delicious restaurants were also within an easy walk. Our stay was one of our better trips to Maine, and we visit several times a year. We can’t wait to return to our new happy place!

The best time in the perfect setting!!!

My two boys, my husband and myself stayed for 5 nights and had the perfect time! The cottage was adorable and perfectly located for walking everywhere… We walked to the beach multiple times and rode bikes and walked to the seafood restaurants/lobster pounds down on the water and the local market and even a great bbq spot! It was perfectly accessible by car for all our day trips as well! We would definitely stay again in a heartbeat and we plan to! Wonderful communication and the setting was to die for. Watching the sunset out the kitchen window was absolute Maine serenity! We all miss our adorable cottage on the marsh already!!

Cosy place with great sunsets and close to beautiful walking beaches!

This small house was perfect for the two of us. We stayed a week and loved watching the numerous birds in the backyard! The sunsets were beautiful as advertised! We cooked most mornings and several nights - the kitchen and barbecue were just fine for our needs. Roma was quick to respond to our questions. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Clean, cozy, and great location!

The Sunset Loft was a perfect spot for me, my husband, and our infant daughter for 4 nights. We were able to walk to a couple of restaurants and also utilized the kitchen to cook fresh seafood from the local market. Plenty of beach options close by and we were able to make a day trip to Portland/Freeport when the weather wasn’t ideal for the beach. Highly recommend for a couple or small family looking for a quiet getaway.

Lovely cottage near the beach

We had a great time at Sunset Loft! It’s a cozy space with a beautiful view of the marsh. It’s a very short walk from the beach and there are lots of great restaurants to choose from within walking distance. The cottage was clean and we found fresh flowers and cold Prosecco waiting for us. Wonderful! Thanks, Roma!
