About this property
Charm, privacy, not your generic rental!
Our 1930’s cottage is a truly rare getaway. Surrounded by flower gardens, including a rose garden in full bloom during June and July.
Sunny, open living and dining rooms provide space to enjoy timeless days. A jewel box sunporch is perfect for reading and napping. 2 upstairs bedrooms. The study/tv room converts to a 3rd bedroom (queen sofa bed). The back deck is wonderful for private outdoor dining. Breezy and comfortable with windows open, the house has AC for warmer days. Convenient outdoor shower enhances indoor/outdoor living.
When you're here, you are in a world apart. If you love flowers, charming, eclectic decor, and indoor/outdoor spaces, our home will work some magic for you. You can walk, bike or drive to many uncrowded beaches in minutes. Pass the days sitting on the deck or in the rose garden, or find a nook in the house to read and rest. Our newly renovated kitchen is ready and fully equipped for festive feasting. The newly renovated downstairs bathroom includes the original porcelain tub and is dreamy for bath lovers.

We are a married couple, both working in the arts. We divide our time between NYC and Shelter Island. We've found Shelter Island to be the dream balance with the city. We're avid gardeners, as you can see!
