Large group
12 family members stayed here for a wedding near Hood River. Plenty of beds & bathrooms to accommodate our group. House s a little outdated, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the ping pong & pool table in the garage. Didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub or the beautiful back yard, which would make for an incredible game of Bocce. View is absolutely stunning!

Great Retreat Destination!
Our family of 5 had an awesome week away. We hiked Mt. Hood, we shopped our favorite bookstore (artifacts), shopped the game store(excellent selection of board games), ate excellent BBQ in Parkdale. We rode rail bikes at Mr. Hood railway. Super fun! Highly recommend. We also went blueberry picking right down the street from the unit. Lots of fun. This house has everything for a large family. It is also excellent for families with littles. The game room held everyone’s attention. The hot tub was awesome. An extra large dinning room table was excellent for our board game marathon. Lol! The fan favorite was the view of Mt. Hood. The mountain stole the show. This place was worth every penny.

Really nice, quiet, pretty place
Loved the hot tub, big comfy sofa and comfy quiet bedrooms. Kids had fun with pool and other games. It was weird to have to cook outside but we rolled with it. I would stay here again.

Great stay
Great house well-equipped for large groups. The house was super comfortable with spaces and entertainment for adults and kids. The kitchen is very well equipped despite not having a stove/oven, and it’s clear the owners have put in every effort to make sure you have everything you need. We mostly missed out on the absolutely beautiful mt. hood views due to rain - I guess we’ll have to visit again soon!

Great stay and fun amenities
Great place and the amenities are fun, specially the cover hot tub outside on the deck. My only suggestion is to have a better heating system for the garage it was very cold while playing with the different games there. Everything else was good, clean and plenty of kitchen appliances and supplies to use. We noticed a bit of a dog smell in some areas too.

Very nice home. Plenty of room for our large group and close to both the mountain and Hood River. We had a minor difficulty with the heat and the owner and VRBO reps were very helpful.

Old but comfortable
This house had plenty of space to comfortably host our group of 6 adults and 6 kids. There are plenty of beds which everyone reported as being comfortable and two living spaces plus the game garage to hang out in. It is quite dated though, with what looks like original 1970’s carpet in some areas, and had a musty smell upon arrival. Could benefit from air fresheners or diffusers. The electricity was finicky - various outlets stopped working during our stay and we did not have access to the electrical panel to reset the breakers. I wonder if that is why there is no range/oven in the kitchen? I suppose for the price this house had good space and amenities, but I think I’d aim for a more updated place next time.

2 Nights Stay
it was much further out of Hood River than I expected. I felt that the VRBO rental didn’t put much emphasis on that so I felt misled. Otherwise, once we got to the house, we could tell we were in for a time of solitude and beautiful views of the sky, both at nighttime and daytime. We loved the hot tub, the stark view of Mt. Hood and the size of the place was great to accommodate all of the 13 people of our families. The beds were comfortable, although the VRBO rental seemed a bit dated in some areas but it was clean, well-stocked and spacious. One complaint was that the bottom bunkbed in one of the bedrooms downstairs isn’t supplied with an actual bed mattress but with a foam mattress instead which made it uncomfortable for my younger sister to sleep on. It was a beautiful location to have our families to come together & enjoy each other’s company. Thank you.

Not very accommodating
We were here 2 nights for a wedding. Check in time was 4. I had asked a couple days before if we could check in at 2 due to wedding rehearsal at 3. Was told they would let me know by 2 on day of arrival. This was not helpful at all. A couple of hours would have made a big difference to us as we could have had a place to change our clothes before the rehearsal and unload our luggage and groceries before all of the wedding activities. Instead we had to do it in the dark late at night with tired children. Such a small ask would have made a big difference to us.

Great Location, Exactly as Described (read details carefully)
Party of 7 adults and two toddlers - We enjoyed the proximity to Mountain View Orchard, the trails on the property and the view of Mt Hood. The home was single family with additions and has been converted into a duplex. The owner lives in the other half and was helpful when we had issues with outlets in the kitchen. When we arrived, there were plenty of bath towels in the basement bathroom cupboard, but only four washcloths and no dish towels. Someone from the cleaning crew delivered additional towels the next day. The dishwasher and washing machine worked well, but the dryer only operates in Manual Timed Dry mode. Note: the kitchen does not have a range, but is stocked with a plethora of small electric appliances. When we arrived the house was musty and dust was on windowsills, door frames, and other horizontal surfaces. There is an air exchange system in the basement that needs to be operating to deal with the mustyness in this forest location. Other than the dust, the house was clean. The bed in the master suite was comfortable. The owner left thoughtful welcome gifts. Three stars based on dusty conditions, and initial towel shortage.

Great stay in a great house!
Everything was as advertised, very clean and very comfortable. We found just about everything we needed there, and the lack of a stove and oven was kind of strange, but they provided enough cooktops, burners, a large toaster oven, and the grill, so it really wasn't a problem. Privacy was not an issue either, as you remain very separate from the other folks who live on the property. The hot tub was awesome, the decks were great... Overall an excellent stay. The only drawbacks were a lack of cutting boards, unless maybe we just didn't find them, and some minor noise issues. On our arrival night, there was a large party on a nearby property with loud music that went until about 11 PM. We actually found it fun, and were informed that it was unusual, but something to consider. Also, there was some landscaping and construction on the property while we were there. Again, not a big deal and minimally disruptive, but some folks might want to know that.

Fun spacious home on beautiful shared property - NO OVEN/STOVE
This was a nice big space with an amazing view of Mt Hood Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the Mt Hood view as much as we wanted because it was a very hot week and there is no shade on the deck. It was great in the early morning and evening however. There is a huge lawn and trails on the property which are a bit hard to find but the kids had fun exploring. Parts of the lawn were constantly being watered when we were there and one sprinkler was hitting a bedroom window all night but it was turned off or moved before the next night when I requested that. The house is only about 1.5 miles down the road from Grateful Vineyard which is wonderful! We hadn't notice the detail that it is a shared property but we barely saw/heard the owners. The front deck where the bbq located is shared with another unit and we saw other guests coming and going on that deck from our kitchen windows which surprised me but wasn't disruptive. We had 3 5-8 year old kids with us but we weren't aware of our noise bothering anyone. The house provided lots of space and was comfortable and had good a/c (we were there during a heat wave). The kids loved the game room and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The internet connection was pretty spotty but it was manageable. Two of the bedrooms are in a dark basement but this was fine for us. We unfortunately missed the detail when booking that there is no stove/oven but we read it in an email a week prior to our trip and were able to plan meals accordingly. Lots of kitchen gadgets but the kitchen was not very well stocked (no cutting boards, dull knives, very few staples). My biggest complaint was our communication with VRBO. I let them know 2 hours after checking in that there were no paper towels and only 2 dishwasher pods. I didn't hear back until the next morning and their response was that if we used up a roll we would need to purchase the second (even though I had already explained that we couldn't find any paper towels) and they didn't respond about the pods. It took messaging with 3 people before they connected me with someone local who was great and brought over the supplies plus some sugar I asked for even though the national office said they don't provide sugar. Unfortunately this was 18 hours after I had requested the supplies.
