Grandsons 1st Birthday

We were looking for a location within walking distance from Marietta Square and this was perfect! Spotless and comfortable with a great walkin closet to keep clothes organized and luggage and miscellaneous stuff tucked away. Would stay here again for sure

Spacious accommodation

Apartment is very spacious with enough room to not feel crowded. Tub and shower were excellent for soaking after a long day. My only request since I was there on business is to have a much larger desk or workspace near multiple outlets for laptops. Near multiple restaurants and downtown square which we enjoyed after hours. We enjoyed walking in the square, shopping and outdoor seating for our meal.

Marietta charm

Cozy, clean and quaint...perfect for our needs. and appointed nicely. You do experience the city sounds (rail, emergency, etc) but that's part of the experience, and the tradeoff for being so close to The Square. Exterior could use a little sprucing up of paint. But this will be our 'go to' spot for visits to see family in area. It's a great weekend stay for sure.

Perfect for our stay

My wife and I arrived had trouble finding the correct door so I texted the number I was provided. I immediately received a phone call from Gregory who directed me to the correct door of the property. After that we had no other need to contact Gregory as everything was exactly as what we thought it would be. You were looking for a retreat. This is not for you, but it worked great for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Charming property

This charming property was great for our needs. The space was more than enough for us to have a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well appointed and the bathroom was nicely updated. I especially appreciated the walk in closet, as we were in town for a wedding so there was more than enough room to hang dresses, suits, etc. We would definitely stay here again. Some of the reviews mentioned train noise, and there is train noise in that area. However, the train tracks cut through the center of Marietta, so I can't imagine where you could stay in that area where you wouldn't hear the train. If you're a light sleeper, maybe bring a white noise machine.

It is very nicely renovated space in an old building tucked away near the Marietta Square, the perfect location for me. I recommend reading the information they send you about finding the best unit. It is very detailed. I was dumb did and did not, was graciously guide back to the information by my host.

Lovely weekend

The location was great, very walkable to the square and plenty of restaurants. Kitchen had the necessities including basic spices and we were able to cook several meals. Bathroom was lovely, as pictured! if I could make one suggestion, might want to bring your own towels since the ones provided don't do the great tub justice. A bath mat would be an excellent addition. Some other reviews have mentioned the noise and the bed. As an 8-month pregnant semi-insomniac, I still had no trouble sleeping through any trains and the bed was very comfortable. Thanks for the great stay!

Great Home-base

This property was pretty much exactly as pictured. It was a great spot for what I needed (getting daughter settled in at a nearby university). The neighborhood was great for walking around. And was pleasantly surprised to find a Gone With the Wind museum within walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous tub almost every night. There was a hot water issue one day, but Greg was on it in no time and the hot water was back quickly. One suggestion, as someone that loves to cook - it’s one of the reasons I choose to stay at a vacation rental instead of a hotel, I would highly recommend some better knives, pots and pans. What’s there is ok, but not great for regular cooking.

Driving in, this place looks like garbage. Historic is one thing, but i was apologizing to my wife for picking this place. That went away when we went in. It was very nice in the inside. The kitchen is nice (although not equipped right if you plan to do even the simplest of cooking) and the bathroom was awesome. Bed was hard and, after a long day, was not a welcome respite. The biggest problem is the noise. Sirens constantly, trains in the morning, and i think there was an ogre in the room above because the constant stomping until 3 am made it difficult to fall/stay asleep. I love old places like this but i wouldn't recommend or stay in this one again.

Let's cover all the things not listed...

First off, I don't have a problem with the listing or the property manager per se. What I will detail are the things that aren't listed that directly relate to this rental and our experience. *Access: this is a 100+ year old house that has been preserved for the most part. The stairs up and onto the porch are old, narrow, and tall. If you have people up in age or with mobility issues then this is probably not a good location. *Noise: This is anything but a quiet getaway! There is train noise, and I mean REAL train noise, at least 5 times from 10pm till 6am, then even more after those hours. It is close and it is loud! Traffic noise is also added onto the top of that. Plus, during our stay, the upstairs apartment people were obviously running a marathon back and forth to their toilet pretty much all evening. How did I know it was a toilet? You'll hear that flush down the wall as well. *Sleeping: Since pretty much none of that happened during our stay, be aware the bed is a stiff Ikea mattress that offers little in the way of comfort unless you like a rock hard bed. I curled up on the couch with 4 pillows and a blanket over my head and managed to get a few zzz's. Overall, it's an interesting old southern home chopped up into rental units and needs some better care. If you want a quiet hideaway and some calm sounds, look elsewhere. This isn't that.

A Great Find!

A nice experience in a great location. Accommodations were great for a couple. The house looks like a picture from the past with the inside wonderfully renovated. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
