This house is great for a weekend getaway! If you aren’t familiar with the hideaway association, look into things ahead of time so you know what’s included and all of that. The cell service is not great, so definitely pick up your map!
The house had enough space for our group of 8 and a baby. The backyard/fire pit area is very nice. Highly recommend getting wood from a local person vs having it delivered, you will save a money for sure.
Perfect getaway nestled in The Hideout, a peaceful and quiet community of homes in the Pocono Mountains. Clean and cozy, the Big Catch Cabin can sleep 6-7 adults comfortably with room for 4 more. Enjoy spectacular poolside or lakeside views and breathe in the fresh country air knowing you will return to Helen’s Haven. And don’t forget to have your coffee outside on the deck while deer and rabbits saunter by!
Helen was a gracious host and house really was fully stocked. Went went skiing on the neighborhood ski hill. Very convenient and fun! We would stay here again.
The cabin was exceptionally clean and had everything you need for a weekend getaway. It is in a nice location in the Hideout. We played golf, pickleball, walked the walking trail, and enjoyed time together.
We had a lovely time staying at Helen's property at The Hideout. It was a lovely location, we were so happy to be able to bring our dogs, and there was tons of space for us to relax and spread out. We loved the fire pit in the back, has fun in the game room, and enjoyed some walks and hikes nearby. We would definitely stay again at this cozy and comfortable space!
This was our second time staying at this property and once again we had a wonderful time! Great house! Great location! Great host! I definitely recommend!
Big Catch Cabin was great! Very clean, comfortable and cozy. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Helen was very accommodating and responded promptly. Highly recommend this property and will definitely rent again!
Great property, clean and organized! Host was gracious and fair.
Home had everything that we needed. I'd stay at this home anytime. Enjoyed staying here.
I can honestly say that the host, Helen made our stay absolutely PERFECT! I had booked a different home through another online platform in Feb. 2021 only to find out a month before our vacation the house was damaged by weather and taken off site without notifying me of the change. That host was horrible and would not help me into another home so I went to VRBO and found Big Catch Cabin! I am so grateful I did because Helen immediately helped me and booked for the time period I requested! She also answered my many questions and sent me more pictures!! She added the leaf in the table to make it from 4-6 people which we really appreciated!! My mom and adult kids were able to visit for the day,. I rented the house so we could get together with my cousins from Connecticut like we did when we were younger!! The rooms were large enough to accommodate each and everyone of us! The 3 bedrooms upstairs were very nice and the bedroom on the first floor was amazing with the large Jacuzzi tub! The wood on the ceilings made the house so cozy! We all LOVED the game room with basketball hoop and ping pong table! And the karaoke microphones were so much fun! The wifi worked great and there was enough items in the kitchen to use for our convenience! There was not a dishwasher but we did not miss it! We used paper products! The screened in porch was really enjoyable as was the swing set in backyard! There was a fire pit to use and wood but we did not get a chance to use it! We did use the grill and it worked wonderfully!! Our hist Helen was so prompt answering all of our questions! She was extremely kind when I told her the whale decoration was accidentally broken, and I offered to replace it because I felt so bad but she kindly refused!! Our 4 year old with autism had a meltdown and accidentally kicked it….Helen did not know that but she said for us not to worry about it! She is a very kind and caring person!! And lastly our 7 year old forgot her favorite stuffed animals and she offered to mail them to her!! I have never had a host go above and beyond as Helen did!! The house is beautiful, the area is beautiful with much to do….not only would I recommend this home…We all can’t wait until next time!! We did not get to use any of the Hideout amenities…we went to Claws and Paws, rented a Pontoon Boat on lake Wallenpaupack, horse back riding and Costa’s! I did not realize how much there is to do in that area! Thank you again!!
