We had a great time! Overall, the house is very nice! The interior is very nice and the owners have lots of thoughtful touches throughout like toys for young children, board games, dvds, baby gate, shampoo/soaps provided! Our kids enjoyed the bunk beds and telescope!
Very well stocked kitchen with griddle, waffle maker, blender. Fishing poles, crab traps, kayak, fish/scallop cleaning station were available for use. Swings outside for the kids!
The downside to this property is that it is 3 stories in the air (36 stairs). It was a haul to get everything inside/up and down daily. The really only deal breaker is the canal. It says "tidal" in the description and in reality while it is tidal, it becomes completely inaccessible. There was only a few inches of water at low tide and our boat was on the ground. If you don't time the tides correctly than you cannot leave or come. That means have to plan your activities around the tide is frustrating. There is WiFi, but no Cable TV (dvd only). Keaton Beach is only a few minutes down the road + a local boat ramp, which we used to trailer our boat the rest of the week so we did not have to depend on the tides. No stores nearby except for a gas station/mini Mart, which does have everything you need if you forget something. Bonus, they have milkshakes, which we loved after a hot day on the water! Great location for scalloping, we caught our limit 2/4 days!
