Great place if your on a budget
First of all, the positives. Allen was very prompt and thourall with all his communications. This place is stocked very well. The back yard is very serene with the sound of the water flowing from the creek. The hot tub and firepit was very peaceful. We appreciated the open floor plan of the kitchen and living room. We did not have any issues with bugs or rodents. On the flip side, this is an older property that has had a few cosmetic upgrades. The kitchen drawers almost fall out when you open them and the shelves in the fridge are falling apart. When we arrived, the white cabinets had spagetti sauce all over them, the mirror on the bathroom door was filthy and the vacuum was filled with crap, The master bathroom is big and spacious but the shower is tiny. An average size adult barely fits. The king size bed is extremely firm. I slept on an air mattress in the living room! The queen bed is softer but worn out and there is barely any room for your suitcases. The final bedroom with bunks have very thin mattresses and the room is tiny. The main bathroom has a slightly larger shower but the entire bathroom is extremely small.Overall, if your looking for a house on a budget with a few minor quirks this house would be ok for you.I would recomm it for smaller children instead of adults. It's about a 35 min drive to downtown Gatlinburg. There is a Dollar store right around the corner, a great pizza place, distillery, and a few small taco trucks we enjoyed. Close hiking in a few parks.
