Gwen's Place - Remodeled / Great Location!

This is a wonderful, family-friendly ranch-style home in a great location in the downtown Frankfort residential area! Gorgeous home that has been recently renovated! Features great use of technology with central air conditioning, exceptional 400 Mbps Wi-Fi, and digital streaming with Hulu, PureFlix, Netflix, Max, and Disney+ all included across 3 televisions. Includes a game / entertainment room plus a washer and dryer in the basement!
We check-in guests in-person and then leave them alone, but we are readily available to come by and address any issues.
The house is set in the middle of Frankfort's very cute and charming downtown residential area. It's only a couple blocks from downtown Frankfort and a very easy walk to shops, restaurants, and cafes. Frankfort Beach and Lake Michigan is only 0.6 miles from the house, which works out to about a nice 10 to 15 minute walk from the house.

Outside of Frankfort, Crystal Lake is just 10 minutes away, the start of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is only a 20-minute drive from the house, and downtown Traverse City with it's shops, restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife is only a 1-hour drive away!
This is a one-story home that is loving named after the owners' granddaughter. All 3 bedrooms and both full bathrooms are located on the main floor! In the partially-finished basement, there is a entertainment / game / kids room as well as a washer and dryer that is available for guests to use.

Outside, the house has a nice large deck with a new gas grill and nice new bonfire ring for great family bonfires with s'mores!
It is recommended that guests have their own vehicle, but it's very possible to get by without a vehicle if you wish to stay right in Frankfort the entire time.

Girls fall get together

House had a terrible smell, musty. Washed the food off the kitchen light over the sink. Blankets were smelly. Master bath shower door falling off. Master bath vanity door not attached. Magnet strips over the heat vents? Blinds in slider kept falling off.

Gwen’s Place is great!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Gwen’s place in August. The home was clean and comfortable, had plenty of space, the yard was great and we enjoyed the fire pit many days and evenings. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance to many downtown shops and restaurants. A bit longer of a walk led to the beach. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and there was enough space for all 6 of us to sit together for a meal. We will definitely consider staying again when in the area!

Spring 2022 in Frankfort

Really liked this property-it felt like home. Excellent location for walks through town & to the beautiful beach. The manager was great any concerns we had were dealt with immediately. Hope to return soon.

Perfect place to stay!

The house is so cute and very clean. It was perfect for our family of 7. Convenient enough the kids (21-12) were able to walk to the beach and the downtown shopping area. Everything we needed to fix our own meals, besides the food, was right there for us. Great kitchen table for family game nights. Definitely would recommend to stay here.

Great location! We stayed there while skiing at Crystal Mountain. 25 minute drive to the hills!!! House had plenty of space and very clean. Nice to be able to walk downtown to restaurants and bars.

Great Adventure base

Gwen’s place is so close to all Frankfort has to offer and has plenty of other adventures within 15-30 minutes drive. My friends and I stayed for an extended Crystal Mountain ski weekend and it was a great to have such a comfortable and spacious spot to come back to after a long day on the slopes.

Perfect Spot to Enjoy Winter in Northern Michigan

House was great! Spotlessly clean, very functional, well equipped kitchen and a great central location to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes and other Nature Preserves for hiking, snow-shoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Girls weekend for Sleeping Bear 5k

We booked this house because it was close to Empire where the Sleeping Bear 5k was located. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, lots of towels, nice deck and chairs, and the location was great. The drive way was small but there was lots of great parking on the road in front of the house! We’d definitely stay here again.

Summer Vacation

The property was great for our family vacation. The location was within walking distance to downtown shopping, the beach, and the grocery store. Our teens appreciated the rec room in the basement. The property was very clean.

The communication process was good from the beginning. Everything was prepared for us on arrival. The check-in process was smooth as well. The house is well equipped for a long- or short-term stay. Grill and a fire pit are a good way to relax in the evening. Recommended!

Walking Distance

Property is walking distance to Downtown Frankfort and Lake Michigan. Will be more convenient when construction of Forest Ave is completed. Clean, A/C, Internet, multiple TV's. Definitely rent here again.

We had a great stay! Perfect location in such a great little Lake Michigan beach town! I think the only thing that could have made it better was to have a dishwasher, but I would still probably stay again!

Great spot in Frankfort

Easy walking distance to everything in town. Very clean and well equipped. We often stay on the water, this wasn’t that experience but it has many amenities that many cottages in the area don’t (streaming services, air conditioning etc.). Would recommend for folks looking for a nice spot in town!

Great location! We were within walking distance of a park for the kiddos to play at, gas station (bought firewood there), a dock right off shore for my older boys to fish, pizza place, ice cream, cute touristy shops, etc. The house was just what our family of 7 needed and we really enjoyed our stay. The construction was a very minor inconvenience. Frankfort was a great place to stay!
