Good size for 3-4 with close beach access

Good sized duplex with large Master. Both bathrooms had everything you needed, water pressure was good and had everything you needed for our short stay. Sit on kayaks were a nice touch, 4 kayaks and 2 vests so you may need an extra vest. Crescent Beach is a short walk and it has sold sand for walks with only a short rock entrance. You can kayak out to a small island. Owls Head General store a couple of min away has good breakfast and you can pick up what you need for a few days stay. Lighthouse is also only short 7-9 min drive for another good hike. Downtown Rockland has good restaurants, recommend Claws and Home City Cafe. Good gear at Maine Sports.

A complete and total pleasure

I am not a review writer. But I enjoyed this stay so much that I want to express my thoughts regarding Westwind at Crescent Beach to any who might be considering a stay here. Do it! The home is lovely, well appointed, and comfortable (the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in). It is a very short walk to a beautiful beach. The neighborhood is charming and quiet. I will be back for sure.

Quiet Time

Great getaway

Beautiful home and location, felt like home as soon as you walked through the door. A short walk to a great beach, kids had a blast searching for crabs and other sea goodies. Highly recommend.

Winter Retreat

My family of 4 had a comfortable and delightful stay at West Wind. We walked to Crescent Beach each day and enjoyed cooking meals at home. The house was clean, comfortable, modern and in a quiet neighborhood. The beds were very comfortable. We loved that it was such a short drive to Owl's Head Light House, the transportation museum and shops in downtown Rockland.

Beautiful and Close to the Beach!

We had a really wonderful time at WestWind. The property was as shown in the photos, and the check in process went smoothly. The house was very clean with the exception of a few ants in the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a problem with the WiFi on the last day, but the host was quick to respond. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything that is happening next door. The location is just a short walk away from the beach which was a highlight, and a short drive from Owl’s Head and Rockland for shops and restaurants. Overall I would recommend staying here!

Coastal Maine Couples trip

West Wind at Crescent Beach

Loved the location and overall cleanliness of the house. One of the best we’ve seen from VRBO. Short drive to downtown restaurants and shops and even shorter to Owls Head General Store. Really enjoyed the long weekend post Labor Day.

Wonderful time in a wonderful place!

We absolutely loved your home and it's close proximity to so much! 5 minute drive to Lobsterfest, 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach!. The beds were super comfy and we slept SO SOUNDLY. Everything was as described and we will definitely look to stay with you again!

Sparkling clean condo near Crescent Beach

We managed to book a week-end at this property at very short notice and it was perfect as a bridge between longer rentals at houses on the coast. The pictures are accurate, the furniture is quite comfortable, and there are AC units both upstairs and downstairs for climate comfort. We also took advantage of the washer/dryer to refresh our vacation wardrobe. We didn't use the outside BBQ but I was impressed it was there, along with outdoor seating to enjoy dinner al fresco. It's one of two units but you don't hear a sound from your neighbors, which suggests good insulation, and there's plenty of parking space. All in all, it was a great experience.

Visit to Owls Head

While on vacation in Maine we decided to stay in Owls Head. We booked 4 nights at the Westwind cottage with Maine Cootage Keepers and we couldn’t have been happier. The location was perfect, we could take day trips to many of the amazing lighthouses and state parks. The cottage itself was fabulous. The house is spacious with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, great amenities, and surrounded by beauty. The beach is with in walking distance and the area is so quiet and serene. It was truly perfect for relaxing and enjoying the amazing state of Maine. Restaurants nearby with great food. I highly recommend Claws. We will definitely be back!

You will love this great property and location!

Arrival at the Westwind was flawless. We were wowed by the comfort, organization and cleanliness of the property. All appliances were modern and easy to use. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. Departure expectations were concise and clear. The one question we had was answered promptly by email. We were very pleased with Westwind and would book this property again. The Rockland area has a lot to offer. Although we were visiting family on Owls Head for this brief visit, we know the area and would recommend it as a wonderful vacation place with many activities for the entire family. Do not miss the Home Kitchen Cafe in Rockland!

Relaxing and pleasant, as always.

The property is modern , and has all the ammenities you could want. The location is perfect , and is close to Rockland and all its attractions. Its also only 30 minutes from our favorite penninsula , St. George. The beach is beautiful , and only a 5 minute walk. Everything that you need is provided.

Contented near Crescent Beach

The home is lovely and completely appointed with all you need for your stay. It is very close to the peaceful Crescent Beach. It is new and spotless. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of comfy pillow which so important to ensure sleep. The only suggested I would note is the down stairs bedroom and small upstairs office does not have an air conditioner. We did not use the office area but the downstairs bedroom was stuffy and hard to get air circulation in room with open window. Highly recommend this home.

Maine Cottage Keepers (MCK) is a small property management and vacation rental company. Pat & Shawn-Elise Lapomarda are both the property owners and operators of the business. We are local to the MidCoast and Sebago Lake Region areas, operating and living in both.

Back in 2013, we bought a cottage down the road from Shawn-Elise's dad, near where she grew up. It was a special place to her because as a child, it was her friend’s great aunt’s home and she visited there often. We both love the location and lived there full time for a short while. In 2016, we weren’t there as much as we wanted and still paid for it each month. So we decided to rent it out when we weren’t using it. We accelerated some projects we had been putting off. We did a thorough cleaning and took some new photos. Then we listed it and our first listing, Sea Rose Cottage, was born.

Why they chose this property

We love to spend time in Owls Head during the summer and admired this house when it was built a few years ago. When it was put on the market for sale we jumped at the opportunity to own it!
